Speaking Of The Light:
Where’s The End Of The Tunnel?
Living In Fear & Despair?
Don’t Lose Hope!
Trust in Allah, Stay The Course,
And Do Your Part!
(M. Javed Naseem)
This is the ‘End-Time’ and we are the last nation on this
planet Earth. Some say that we are being tested by Allah through some severe
trials. That’s not true. Allah tests those who seek Allah’s pleasure and
guidance; who are pious and righteous. Allah puts them to trials to test their
Faith (Iman) and sincerity. But those who are neither pious nor righteous and
have been spreading corruption and mischief in the Earth, are normally
punished. They are warned and then punished – unless they repent, change their
ways and seek Allah’s forgiveness.
The Muslim Ummah is going through a lengthy period of
turmoil. Years of turbulent politics, decades of bloodshed, infighting,
intrigues, conspiracies, and tyranny by the inept ruler-cum-dictators have left
the Muslim countries in shambles. People live in fear and despair considering
the situation hopeless. But there are still some honest and sincere people who
are staunch believers and have strong faith in Allah. They hold the key to
success – Hope.
****************************
Hope is greater
than all despair!
Hope is stronger
than all tyrants!
Only hope can get
you through!
Hope connects you
to your Lord!
****************************
The Muslim world is marred by corruption, incompetence and
self-interests. There is no leadership; there is no direction and people have
been stuck in the tunnel so long that they don’t see any light at the end of
it. As a matter of fact, they do not even see the end of the tunnel. Therefore,
they opt for ad-hoc solutions, stop-gap arrangements and short-term compromises
to survive. In this situation, the crop of corrupt politicians and opportunists
is flourishing. They are the biggest winners while voters are the losers – as
usual.
**********************************
Don’t fall into
the same trap again and
again! Don’t
accept and compromise
with ‘lesser evil’.
An evil is an evil,
lesser or greater,
does not matter!
****************************
We have been commanded to “hold tightly together unto the
rope of Allah” so that we succeed. We were also commanded to enjoin
righteousness and forbid evil. We have failed very miserably on all counts. We
are leaving behind only troubles for our younger generation and we don’t feel
ashamed. We talk of Islam but we don’t demonstrate it in our actions. We discuss
Islamic laws and code of conduct but we don’t live by it. We want material
benefits.
We have become hypocrites (Munaafiqeen). Unless we do our
duty to Allah, we are not going to get the respite. We won’t enjoy the mercy
and blessings of Allah if we don’t obey His commandments. Allah says: “Remember
Me, I’ll remember you!” If we show our arrogance through disobedience to the
Lord Almighty, we’ll keep suffering. We hope for mercy and welfare but it comes
through repentance only. We should seek Allah’s forgiveness by repenting and
changing our ways. Only then He’ll bless us.
“Say: O my Servants who have transgressed
against their souls!
Despair not of the Mercy
of Allah; for Allah
forgives all sins; for He is
Oft-Forgiving, Most
Merciful.”
(al-Quran 39:53)
Our problem is that we have abandoned the Quran and Islam. We
go for short-cuts – short-cut to success; short-cut to power; short-cut to wealth;
shorty-cut to comfortable life; and even short-cut to Paradise!
We don’t want to walk on the ‘right path’ because it's difficult and has no short-cut.
Remember one thing! There are no short-cuts to Jannah (Paradise). Islam is a way of life – a Deen; and there are
no short-cuts in the Deen! Islam is a package and you can’t choose the elements
you find easy and discard the elements that you consider difficult.
If we study the Quran, we’ll see that Allah has warned us at
many different stages. He tells us clearly that if we remain true and sincere
Believers; practice righteousness and patience; and promote the Truth, we’ll
succeed. Otherwise we would be in loss – both in this world and in the
Hereafter.
”By (the token of)
Time (through the ages),
verily man is in
loss, except those who
believe, and do
righteous deeds, and (join
together) in the
mutual teaching of Truth,
and of Patience and
Constancy.”
(al-Quran 103:1-3)
