This world is temporary and so is our life. We are on a lease which is going to expire soon and we will be ejected. It’s not that we were not warned about it, the Scriptures are full of such warnings. Our Lord sent Messengers to tell us the Truth – the purpose of our lives in this world; to guide us how to spend our short lives on the planet Earth; and to warn us that if we violate His laws, we’ll be punished.

The Quran says:
“Say: ‘Who can keep you safe by night and by

day from (the Wrath of) (Allah) Most Gracious?’

Yet they turn away from the mention of their Lord.

Or have they gods that can guard them from Us?

They have no power to aid themselves,

nor can they be defended from Us.”

(al-Quran 21:42-43

The Bible says:

John 15:6

“If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast (them) into the fire, and they are burned.”

Allah is the Supreme Creator. He created us; created all living things; He created whatever is in the heavens, on earth and in between. Everything belongs to Him and will revert to Him in the End. Man is living the illusion that he has power over other people and can do anything (good or harmful) without accountability. Man behaves as if he is going to live for ever on this earth. He acts like a king – a tyrant – and forgets that he is just a beggar and his existence depends on God’s mercy Who blesses him with food, water, air and good health. The cruelty of man knows no bounds. He is converting this Heaven-like world into an unbearable Hell. He is spreading corruption, injustice, death and destruction. He thinks that he’ll get away with it. And when he is reminded of the Almighty’s warnings or punishment, he arrogantly rejects them. He does not believe that he will be answering question in a Higher Court of Justice.

The Quran says:
“If only the Unbelievers knew (the time) when

they will not be able to ward off the fire from

their faces, nor yet from their backs, and

(when) no help can reach them! Nay, it may

come to them all of a sudden and confound

them. No power will they have then to avert

it, nor will they (then) get respite.”

(al-Quran 21:39-40)

The Bible says:

Ezekiel 25:17

“And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I (am) the Lord, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.”

Every good thing we enjoy and every bad thing from which we suffer in this world is temporary. Nothing is going to last forever. Both good and bad things happening to us are our tests and trials. Eventually we are going to end up in dust. The wise people understand it and try to prepare for the next life. They promote good and forbid evil. They know that one day in the Higher Court of Justice, they will be questioned and will be paid the wages of their sins. Only the doers of good will succeed.

The Quran says:
“Nay, We gave the good things of this life to these

men and their fathers until the period grew long for

them. See they not that We gradually reduce the

land (in their control) from its outlying borders?

Is it then they who will win?”

(al-Quran 21:44)

“We shall set up scales of justice for the Day of

Judgment, so that not a soul will be dealt with

unjustly in the least, and if there be (no more than)

the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it (to

account): and enough are We to take account.”

(al-Quran 21:47)

The Bible says:

“The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the Day of Judgment to be punished.”

Man can be saved from the Fire only through obedience to God – only by unconditional submission or surrender to the Will of God. There is no other way!

We, as believers, are commanded by our Almighty Creator Lord to enjoin Good and forbid Evil so that we create a healthy, just and peaceful society. But greed and selfishness has turned our eyes blind. We have stopped distinguishing between right and wrong; good and evil; just and unjust; Halal and Haraam. We have changed our social and cultural values. We have lost sympathy, love and compassion for others, but we have developed love for wealth, material things and worldly comforts. How and when is it going to end? At death and in grave!

The Bible says:

(Hosea 9:9)

“They have sunk deep into corruption, as in the days of Gibeah. God will remember their wickedness and punish them for their sins.”

We cooperate with each other in evil but not in the cause of good. We see the victims of injustice and aggression and turn our faces away. And we pretend to uphold the principles of freedom, justice and peace. In fact, we are hypocrites! Allah warns us:

“The Hypocrites, men and women, (have an

understanding) with each other. They enjoin evil,

and forbid what is just, and are close with their

hands. They have forgotten Allah; so He has

forgotten them (too). Verily the Hypocrites are

rebellious and perverse. Allah has promised the

Hypocrites - men and women, and the rejecters,

of Faith, the fire of Hell. Therein shall they dwell.

Sufficient is it for them. For them is the curse of

Allah, and an enduring punishment.”

(al-Quran 9:67-68)

In today’s world, most Jews are not happy with their Rabbis; most Christians are not happy with their Priests and Popes; and most Muslims are not happy with their Imams, preachers and leaders. They all have one common reason for that – corruption! People (even religious leaders and guides) have no character, no principles, no honesty, no com-passion and no feelings for others. They are all slaves to their own desires and are all selfishly pursuing the goal of accumulating as much wealth as possible. The pity is that many of them are not even able to enjoy that wealth. They leave it for others and become dust with dust.

People who follow the Holy Books honestly and sincerely, are ridiculed, insulted and even physically attacked because of ignorance, hate and Islamophobia. The evil forces have joined hands in their bloody campaign against the godly. penalty. On the day when it will (all) be heated

in the fire of hell, and their foreheads and their

you hoarded for yourselves. Now taste of

what you used to hoard.”

No matter how hurtful and destructive this is, the fact remains that it is temporary – a matter of time. It will be over sooner or later. The Almighty has guaranteed Believers that the eternal guiding light cannot be extinguished by the evil forces.

His light should be perfected, even though the

Unbelievers may detest (it).”

Whatever is happening in Syria, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan, Kashmir, Burma, etc., is a test for those who claim to be Believers. Allah is testing them as to what they do against injustice, tyranny, aggression, oppression, and unjust invasion of Muslim countries killing thousands of innocent people. Allah asks them in the Quran:

“O you who believe! What is the matter with you,

that, when you are asked to go forth in the cause of

Allah, you cling heavily to the earth? Do you prefer

the life of this world to the Hereafter? But little is the

comfort of this life, as compared with the Hereafter.

Unless you go forth, He will punish you with a

grievous penalty, and put others in your place; but

Him you would not harm in the least. For Allah has

power over all things.”

Jesus Christ knew what priests were doing, therefore, he warned all Christians:

“You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the World is enmity with God? Therefore, whoever wishes to be a friend of the World, makes himself an enemy of God.”

As thousands more currently battle 9/11-related diseases such as cancer or severe respiratory disease, shockingly, it's predicted that by the end of this year the number of first responders who have died since the tragic event will overtake the number who died on the day.

Tom Wilson, a 49-year old New York Police officer, had to have his tongue cut out.

Tom spent days on search and rescue duty followed by weeks at Fresh Kills landfill site in Staten Island sifting through rubble from the Twin Towers looking for human remains.

“It was like having your mouth wrapped around the exhaust pipe of a motor vehicle,” he told the Sun newspaper.

General people in America and the West hate the Middle Eastern refugees coming to their countries. They always criticize them with one excuse or another. Trump has banned people from 7 Middle Eastern Muslim countries, although he is taking advantage of their immense wealth and petrol/gas by blackmail. It seems that Israel is dictating American foreign policy and its Middle East war ventures, because Israel is the biggest beneficiary of these wars waged by America and Europe.

America and Europe are making too much noise about terrorism and in fact they are behind most of those terrorist groups. They created some and they embraced others to use them as proxies in the illegal wars. America and Europe are helping them with money, arms, ammunition, equipment, manpower, training and logistics. Mr. President:

We are concerned that you may not have been adequately briefed on the upsurge of hostilities in northwestern Syria, where Syrian armed forces with Russian support have launched a full-out campaign to take back the al-Nusra/al-Qaeda/ISIS-infested province of Idlib.  The Syrians will almost certainly succeed, as they did in late 2016 in Aleppo.  As in Aleppo, it will mean unspeakable carnage, unless someone finally tells the insurgents theirs is a lost cause.

That someone is you. The Israelis, Saudis, and others who want unrest to endure are egging on the insurgents, assuring them that you, Mr. President, will use US forces to protect the insurgents in Idlib, and perhaps also rain hell down on Damascus.  We believe that your senior advisers are encouraging the insurgents to think in those terms, and that your most senior aides are taking credit for your recent policy shift from troop withdrawal from Syria to indefinite war.

Big Difference This Time

Russian missile-armed naval and air units are now deployed in unprecedented numbers to engage those tempted to interfere with Syrian and Russian forces trying to clean out the terrorists from Idlib. We assume you have been briefed on that — at least to some extent. More important, we know that your advisers tend to be dangerously dismissive of Russian capabilities and intentions.

We do not want you to be surprised when the Russians start firing their missiles. The prospect of direct Russian-U.S. hostilities in Syria is at an all-time high. We are not sure you realize that.

The situation is even more volatile because Kremlin leaders are not sure who is calling the shots in Washington. This is not the first time that President Putin has encountered such uncertainty (see brief Appendix below).  This is, however, the first time that Russian forces have deployed in such numbers into the area, ready to do battle. The stakes are very high.

We hope that John Bolton has given you an accurate description of his acerbic talks with his Russian counterpart in Geneva a few weeks ago. In our view, it is a safe bet that the Kremlin is uncertain whether Bolton faithfully speaks in your stead, or speaks INSTEAD of you.

The best way to assure Mr. Putin that you are in control of U.S. policy toward Syria would be for you to seek an early opportunity to speak out publicly, spelling out your intentions.  If you wish wider war, Bolton has put you on the right path.

If you wish to cool things down, you may wish to consider what might be called a pre-emptive ceasefire. By that we mean a public commitment by the Presidents of the U.S. and Russia to strengthen procedures to preclude an open clash between U.S. and Russian armed forces. We believe that, in present circumstances, this kind of extraordinary step is now required to head off wider war.

That was the best time of our lives – the 1960s! Mohammad Ayub Khan was the best President Pakistan ever had – honest, simple, down-to-earth, patriotic Pakistani and a good Muslim. He was the son of the soil and felt deeply for Pakistan and the Pakistanis. But as they say that man is never satisfied, some people (especially Bhutto’s PPP) were not very happy with him. Those ungrateful ‘socialists’ easily forgot that Z.A.Bhutto was nobody until President Ayub Khan made him the Foreign Minister of Pakistan. Ayub Khan was the mentor of many aspiring politicians.

I saw the 1965 war; participated in it by helping Pak army as a volunteer as they were short of manpower. I was doing my Bachelor (B.A.) in Lahore those days; lived in Lahore Cantt., near Pak Rangers’ Headquarters, not far from the famous canal where the Indian army was stopped.

After the 1965 war with India, when both countries signed the peace agreement, Bhutto started manipulating the anti-India sentiments of people. The wounds of 1965-war were still fresh. When Ayub Khan removed Bhutto from the cabinet, he started a vicious campaign against his government and the military. He used students’ unions and labor unions to promote unrest and violence; and formed Pakistan People’s Party to gain power. Then he came to power after the 1971 elections which Sh. Mujeebur Rahman (of East Pakistan) won with majority vote. The only way Bhutto could gain power was to divide Pakistan – East Pakistan becoming Bangladesh and West Pakistan the new Pakistan. “Udher toum, idher hum” (meaning: You there, Me here) agreement was reached and Pakistan was dismembered. You know the rest.

The so-called Leftists tried to distort the images of those leaders who were sincere with Pakistan but leaned towards Islam. This is still going on but today they don’t call themselves ‘Leftists’; they are known by the modern terms like secular, atheists, etc., though some still claim to be the socialists.

President Ayub Khan was the man who told America and Britain that Pakistan seeks ‘Friends’ not ‘Masters’. Here are some excerpts from his famous book ‘Friends, Not Masters’, published by the Oxford University Press.

“At the invitation of President Kennedy, I had visited the United States in July 1961. President Kennedy said, in his welcome address, that Pakistan was a friend of ‘immediacy and constancy’. He also observed that ‘Americans in private and in their public life appreciate the value of friendship and the constancy of friends.’ I was heartened by this because the value of friendship rests on reciprocity.”

“I addressed a Joint Session of the Congress of the United States on 12^th July, 1961. I explained at some length the basis of the partition of the sub-continent. Our demand for a homeland of our own was based on the realization that we would have no place worth the name in a society which was governed by a rigid caste system. The demand was not based on bigotry or intolerance. It was, in fact, an escape from the bigotry and intolerance to which we had been subjected for decades in the Indian society. We were not wanting to create a priest-ridden society but a liberal and enlightened one in which we should be able to live according to our own ideology and faith. In our society there would be no place for color prejudice or race prejudice. We people are, shall we say, color-blind and race-blind. I reminded the Congress of their responsibilities and world obligations. There was applause when I said, ‘the only people who will stand by you are the people of Pakistan’ but, before the applause died down, I added, ‘provided — provided you are also prepared to stand by them. So, I would like you to remember that, whatever may be the dictates of your commitments, you will not take any steps that might aggravate our problems or in any fashion jeopardize our security'. And as long as you remember

that, I have no doubt in my mind that our friendship trill grow in strength.”

“Throughout my visit, I emphasized the need for bringing about a just and honorable settlement of the Kashmir dispute, without which there could be no peace in the sub-continent. I urged the United States to use their growing influence in India to persuade the Indian leaders to realize the value of living at peace with Pakistan. I was asked by a Pressman: How far President Kennedy could go in persuading Mr. Nehru to resolve the Kashmir dispute? My answer was: ‘We will see how far he can go. He should be able to go a long way.’”

“I have viewed problems as a Pakistani, a Muslim, and an Asian. Pakistan is my passion, my life. A look of happiness on the faces of people thrills and sustains me. Just as a shade of anxiety in their eyes causes me anguish. I have woken up from sleep to sec whether the sound on the window panes is of the long-awaited rain. I feel parched inside when I see a drought-stricken field. The soil of Pakistan fascinates me, for it is my soil. I belong to it.”

“Every moment of my life I have dedicated to the service of my people, never for a moment yielding to any pressure or disappointment. Pakistan has to establish a distinct national identity of her own in moral, social, intellectual, and political terms and all my endeavors have been devoted to this objective.”

These institutions and instruments had to be fashioned according to our own thinking, temperament and needs. The process has not been easy. The political system which we inherited had no relevance to our conditions. The result was that the system was misused and exploited to serve limited interests. It needed a revolution to replace the system by one which reflected the traditions of the people and

responded to their aspirations.”

“As a Muslim, my sole anxiety has been to unite the people of Pakistan in the light of their faith and ideology. This ideology I understand in terms of certain immutable principles: The unity of God; equality and brotherhood of man; progress to higher levels of existence; and adherence to the fundamentals of Islam.”

“In dealing with world affairs, I have viewed problems as an Asian. It is within the Asian community that we have to establish for ourselves a permanent place of respect and strength. This is what our national interests demand. And this is why we continue to work for peace and stability in this part of the world. We have been able to establish normal relations with our neighbors (with the unfortunate exception of India) while maintaining our traditional contacts with Western powers, particularly with the United States of America. In this matter our thinking has been guided as much by our own interests as by the limitations of our political and economic resources. We are dedicated to peace because peace alone will give us the time which we need for our development. Our endeavor is to remain out of the orbit of major power conflicts. This we can achieve only through honest and straight-forward dealings with others.”
