PROVE YOUR LOYALTY TO ALLAH As True Believers!

As Believers, We Are Required

To Prove Our Loyalty To Allah

Allah Puts Us To Tests But

We Fail Every Test And

Still Claim To Be Muslims

(M. Javed Naseem)

O you who believe! Let not your wealth nor”

your children distract you from remembrance of

Allah. Those who do so, they are the losers.”

(al-Quran 63:9)

Loyalty, faithfulness, honesty and sincerity are the basic ingredients of Faith. In our Faith (Islam) we believe that Allah (our Lord) is the Supreme Creator, the King of Kings, the Controller of the Heavens & the Earth and whatever is in between; the Lord of the Worlds, the ‘Rabb-al-Aalameen’. To Him belongs everything that we have the knowledge of, and He has the dominion over all things known or unknown, seen or unseen. All affairs return to Him and so do we. One day, the Day of Judgment, we’ll be standing in His court answering questions.

In Faith, we acknowledge that we believe in Allah and we pledge our loyalty to Him. But that’s not enough. Allah wants proof. We need to show our fidelity and faithfulness by good deeds and by our practical life. We have to be consistent in our good deeds and show patient perseverance. Allah gives us tests from time to time to make sure that we remain faithful servants/slaves to Him.

Do men think that they will be left alone”

on saying, ‘We believe’, and that

they will not be tested?”

(al-Quran 29:2)

We did test those before them, and Allah

will certainly know those who are true,

from those who are false.”

(al-Quran 29:3)

There are thousands of universities, colleges and educational institutions that impart education to a maximum number of human beings in this world. But in spite of that, most people in this world don’t know the purpose of their lives on this planet Earth. It’s a pity! The man-made education cuts off the connecting thread between the Creator and the Creation. Once we are disconnected, we are lost.

It’s so funny and ironical at the same time that we are trying to establish this connection by flying to the Moon and the Mars! We have long term plans to penetrate the heavens but we are unable to see inside ourselves. There’s the connection right there! Again, we cannot see it because we are programmed through our Godless secular education, right from our childhood, to ignore that which is inside us. We follow the man-made books and these books tell us only how to make money and live comfortably in this world. The book that guarantees us the guidance, blessing and the cure of our spiritual diseases (the Quran), is kept at bay. We don’t follow that. And that’s the biggest and most blatant act of infidelity and disobedience.

That Book (the Quran) is the ‘God’s Prescription’ for all of our worldly ailments and has been prescribed by the Lord Creator, Allah. That Book also helps us to make connection with our Creator and live a peaceful life.

***************************

People are driven by lusts and

motivated by personal interests.

Even the family relations have

lost love and mercy. It is all

about material benefits.

***************************

The world has been fragmented and the controllers of each fragment are conspiring to attain or annex more for their material (political and economic) benefits. Everybody is fighting for his own material interests, violating the rights of others, without caring about the lives and properties of others. They don’t even hesitate to spill blood. And today, if you look down from the skies, you see the blood streams in every town, in every country. It’s the blood of mostly innocent people, the children, the women, the elderly and the weak. The word ‘mercy’ has lost its meanings!

Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) said: If you are not merciful to others, Allah will not be merciful to you on the Day of Judgment. We are ignoring Allah and in return Allah is also ignoring us. Allah has left us in the ignorance because we don’t seek His guidance. Allah has left us in the Haraam because we don’t seek His help for the Halal. Allah has left us in merciless bloodshed because we chose so. We don’t repent and don’t seek His mercy. And this is the biggest test/trial for all humans on this earth. Allah wants to see how we handle that and what we do to end the corruption, injustice, mischief, bloodshed and evil in the Earth!

Be sure we shall test you with something of

fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or

the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings

to those who patiently persevere.”

(al-Quran 2:155)

There’s the light at the end of the tunnel. There’s hope as Allah conveys us the ‘glad tidings’ if we stay on the right path with patience, perseverance and prayer. As a faithful, sincere and loyal servants/slaves of our Creator Lord, we are expected to say on losing a life or property: ‘It came from Allah and it went back to Allah’. It was Allah’s property; He gave it to us, and He can take it back whenever He wills. We are supposed to say, “Thank You, Allah” (Alhamd-o-lillah) in every situation and under all circumstances. Allah takes one thing back and gives us another, even better. But He always tests our Faith (Iman), our loyalty and our truthfulness.

Wealth and children are an ornament of the

life of the world. But the good deeds which

endure, are better in your Lord’s sight for

reward, and better in respect of hope.”

(al-Quran 18:46)

We are born in this world and we’ll die in it but during our tenure here we are supposed to follow the commands of Allah. We need to work in this world to carry some assets over to the next and everlasting world – the Hereafter. So, we need to accumulate and put as much ‘right stuff’ as possible in our ‘savings bank’. This capital would be multiplied and coupled with a special reward from the Most Merciful to get us through to Paradise. Mind it! It’s neither wealth nor children!

“And whatsoever you have been given is a

comfort of the life of the world and an ornament

thereof; and that which Allah has is better and

more lasting. Have you then no sense?”

(al-Quran 28:60)

The ‘mischief’ or ‘evil’ is also the part of life. We humans, very easily, fall into the Devil’s traps. Under his influence, we spread corruption and mischief in the world. We promote injustice and violate others’ rights. By doing that, we not only disobey Allah but also fail the test of truthfulness or loyalty.

As a matter of fact, we fail these tests most of the times, if not always.

When Allah says that we should not follow the footsteps of Shaitan, we fail there.

When Allah says that we should enjoin good and forbid evil, we fail there too.

When Allah says that we should stop the oppression and help the oppressed, we fail in that test also.

When Allah says that we should help our Muslim brothers, the victims of aggression, to fight the aggression through Jihad, we fail again.

When Allah says that we should feed our hungry brethren, give clothing and shelter to the homeless and help the sick, we fail miserably in that test too.

So, where do we stand with Allah? How can we ask Allah for victory against the Kaafireen (unbelievers) when we ourselves are not practicing Muslims? We have become a nation of Munafiqeen (Hypocrites).

Since we have failed and never tried to rectify the situation, this evil of corruption, injustice, oppression, aggression, poverty and hunger has swelled into a gigantic monster that we are unable to handle. We do nothing to change it but we look up to Allah to fix these problems for us. It’s not going to happen. Allah commands us:

Help one another in righteousness and piety,

but help not one another in sin and rancor.

Fear Allah, for Allah is strict in punishment.”

(al-Quran 5:2)

We make no effort to change the plight of the Ummah and pray that Allah improve our situation. But Allah has already shown us the way:

Lo! Allah changes not the condition of

a people until they (first) change that

which is in their hearts…”

(al-Quran 13:11)

Let’s not allow these tragedies and mishaps or conspiracies to stop you from moving forward! Just learn your lesson from them and move on with a new resolve! Life goes on and time never stops for any one. But time never forgives those who don’t learn their lesson. Open the history books and see the proof! People are driven by their lusts and personal interests.

But if they hearken not to you, know that

they only follow their own lusts: and who is

more astray than one who follow his own lusts,

devoid of guidance from Allah? For Allah

guides not the wrong-doing people.”

(al-Quran 28:50)

Today, the relations are judged on the scale of material ‘interest’. Everything is motivated by personal, political or financial interest. People go for material benefits. There are parents in this world who sell their children; some send their daughters to prostitution; some kill them. There are children who are only interested in their parents’ wealth and property; they don’t respect or serve them; there are those who even kill them. It’s like dogs fighting over bones. This is the End Time!

But, fortunately, the guidance is there for those who seek it.

COMPLETE SUBMISSION To God Is The Key To Success In Both Worlds.

Complete Submission To God

Is The Key To Success

In Both Worlds

(M. Javed Naseem)

O you who believe! Enter into Islam

whole-heartedly (completely); and

follow not the footsteps of the Devil,

for he is your open enemy.”

(al-Quran 2:208)

What is Faith? If you believe that there is a Supreme Creator who originated all creation, a Supreme Commander controlling and running the show of this universe; and that you are answerable to Him, on the Day of Judgment, for all of your deeds in this world, you are a believer. This is the Faith of Islam – the faith God prescribed for mankind. The True God of Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (peace be upon all of them) is One God worthy of worship. He is the Cherisher, the Sustainer, the Beneficent and the Merciful. This Faith might have different names in different languages during the times of Moses and Jesus, and even before. But during the period of Muhammad (s.a.w.), who spoke Arabic language, it was named Islam by the Almighty.

Truly, the religion with Allah is Islam …”

(al-Quran 3:19)

Islam is the lifestyle that has been prescribed by Allah through the Quran; and it is the lifestyle Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) adopted to show all Muslims that it was practicable in every era if we only wanted to live a simple and peaceful life. Only the stubborn, the ignorant and the misguided people look for the alternatives. Allah warns the believers in the Quran:

Do they seek for other than the Religion

of Allah? while all creatures in the heavens

and on earth have, willingly or unwilling,

bowed to His Will (accepted Islam), and

to Him shall they all be brought back.”

(al-Quran 3:83)

*******************************

Islam is a complete package.

There’s no “pick & choose” nor

any shortcut to Paradise! You cannot

accept some parts and reject the other

parts due to inconvenience!

*******************************

The Almighty Creator has made it very clear in the Scriptures that it is the submission and obedience to Allah that will get man through. Success in this world and in the Hereafter is guaranteed only through steadfastness on the path of righteousness. That was the message of God brought to the nations by all Prophets and Messengers of God. There was no difference in the message delivered by different Messengers or Prophets. Allah tells us in the Quran:

Say: ‘We believe in Allah, and in what has

been revealed to us and what was revealed to

Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes,

and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and

the prophets, from their Lord. We make no

distinction between one and another among them

and to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam).’"

(al-Quran 3:84)

So, if you have faith in Allah, have complete faith, not partial. Accept and obey all commands of Allah, not a selected few that you find easier and convenient! Obedience to Allah is total and unconditional. If, as believers, you accept only some commands and ignore or reject other commands, Allah won’t be happy. He has declared punishment for those who do so. Allah says in the Quran:

After this, it is you, the same people, who slay

among yourselves, and banish a party of you from

their homes; assist (their enemies) against them,

in guilt and rancor; and if they come to you as

captives, you ransom them, though it was not

lawful for you to banish them. Then is it only a

part of the Book that you believe in, and do you

reject the rest? But what is the reward for those

among you who behave like that but disgrace in

this life? And on the Day of Judgment they shall

be consigned to the most grievous penalty. For

Allah is not unmindful of what you do.

Those are the people who buy the life of this

world at the price of the Hereafter; their penalty

shall not be lightened nor shall they be helped.”

(al-Quran 2:85-86)

Your Faith is like your house; if the foundation is solid and stable, the house stands in rain and storms. If any part of the house or a wall is damaged, you can fix it or repair it. But if the foundation caves in, the whole house crumbles. A believer’s whole life is built upon Faith. If he/she loses the Faith, his/her life will be shattered. It is not easy to be steadfast on the path of righteousness. Man is created weak but he can conquer the universe with the help of his Creator.

Then We strengthened those who believed

against their foe, and they became

the uppermost.”

(al-Quran 61:14)

Allah would make the burden light for

you, for man was created weak.”

(al-Quran 4:28).

Faith in Allah gives you strength! It gives you hope! Faith is the power that makes a man take on Nimrods, Pharaohs and the most vicious tyrants of the time. Faith is the power that keeps a man alive;

--- that keeps a drowning man afloat;

--- that binds a diverse community together; and

--- that holds the nations together in the fight against evil.

THE REAL TERRORISM: Hegemony of The World Through Hunger, Injustice, Artificial Poverty & Corruption.

The Real Terrorism:

Hegemony Of The World

Through Hunger, Injustice,

Artificial Poverty

And Corruption

(M. Javed Naseem)

The Bible says:

Rich people who see a brother or sister in need,

yet close their hearts against them, cannot claim

that they love God.” – (1-John 3:17)

Suppose there are brothers or sisters who need

clothes and don’t have enough to eat. What good

is there in your saying to them, ‘God bless you!

Keep warm and eat well!’, if you don’t give them

the necessities of life?” – (James 2:15-16)

Learn to do right. See that justice is done — help

those who are oppressed, give orphans their rights,

and defend widows.” – (Isaiah 1:17)

There cannot be peace without justice! Social justice is the core of any economic system in a society that enjoys peace and prosperity. The world has seen the Free Market Economy (the Capitalism) as well as the Socialism (or Communism). And they have both failed mankind miserably. One is accused of too much freedom while the other is criticized for too much control. There is a limit to everything and there is no such thing as ‘total’ freedom. The lines are drawn and laws are made to enforce those lines or limits. Both economic systems (Capitalism and Communism) looked good on paper (in theory) but both brought crisis after crisis for the lower and middle classes. Only the rich could benefit from them and became richer; the millionaires became the billionaires and they still want more. There is no end to it. Their greed knows no bounds.

********************************

There are 36 million millionaires

in the world today and their number

is expected to grow to 44 million

by the year 2022.

********************************

The Real Terrorists:

The Unique Brand of .01% Terror:

Making a Game of Tax Avoidance While 2,500,000 Children Experience Homelessness.

Wealth ownership is not contemptible if the owners of that wealth accept their responsibility to the society that makes their great fortunes possible. But instead of paying taxes, the wealthiest Americans have formed an “income defense industry” to shelter their riches, with, according to the New York Times, “a high-priced phalanx of lawyers, estate planners, lobbyists and anti-tax activists who exploit and defend a dizzying array of tax maneuvers, virtually none of them available to taxpayers of more modest means.”

The .01% go about their self-serving tax avoidance while 2.5 million children experience homelessness every year. The corporations of the .01% hoard hundreds of billions overseas while nearly two-thirds of American families don’t have enough money to replace a broken furnace.

This is real terror, facing life without shelter and warmth and sustenance, without a semblance of security for even one day in the future. It is terror caused in good part by the 16,000 people who don’t feel it’s necessary to pay for the benefits heaped upon them by a perversely unequal society.

Just 5 Men Own Almost as Much Wealth

as Half the World’s Population

By: Paul Buchheit (Guest writer for Wake Up World)

A couple of years ago it was 8 men, then down to 6, and now it’s around 5.

The super-rich are absconding with our wealth, and the plague of inequality continues to grow. An analysis of 2016 data found that the poorest five deciles of the world population own about $410 billion in total wealth. As of June 2017, the world’s richest five men owned over $400 billion in wealth. Thus, on average, each man owns nearly as much as 750 million people.

Why Do We Let a Few People Shift Great Portions of the World’s Wealth to Themselves?

Most of the world’s super-super-rich are Americans. We the American people created the Internet, developed and funded Artificial Intelligence, and built a massive transportation infrastructure, yet we let just a few individuals take almost all the credit, along with hundreds of billions of dollars.

Children are no longer living better than their parents did. In the eight years since the recession the Wilshire Total Market valuation has more than TRIPLED, rising from a little over $8 trillion to nearly $25 trillion. The great majority of it has gone to the very richest Americans.

In 2016 alone, the richest 1% effectively shifted nearly $4 trillion in wealth away from the rest of the nation to themselves, with nearly half of the wealth transfer ($1.94 trillion) coming from the nation’s poorest 90% — the middle and lower classes. That’s over $17,000 in housing and savings per lower-to-middle-class household lost to the super-rich!

A meritocracy? Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jeff Bezos have done little that wouldn’t have happened anyway. ALL modern U.S. technology started with — and to a great extent, continues with — our tax dollars, our research institutes and our subsidies to corporations.

Why Do We Let Unqualified Rich People Tell Us How To Live? Especially Bill Gates!

In 1975, at the age of 20, Bill Gates founded Microsoft with high school buddy Paul Allen. At the time Gary Kildall’s CP/M operating system was the industry standard. Even Gates’ company used it. But Kildall was an innovator, not a businessman, and when IBM came calling for an OS for the new IBM PC, his delays drove the big mainframe company to Gates. Even though the newly established Microsoft company couldn’t fill IBM’s needs, Gates and Allen saw an opportunity, and so they hurriedly bought the rights to another local company’s OS — which was based on Kildall’s CP/M system. Kildall wanted to sue, but intellectual property law for software had not yet been established.

Kildall was a maker who got taken.

So Bill Gates took from others to become the richest man in the world. And now, because of his great wealth and the meritocracy myth, many people look to him for solutions in vital areas of human need, such as education and global food production.

Gates on Education: He has promoted galvanic skin response monitors to measure the biological reactions of students, and the videotaping of teachers to evaluate their performances. About schools he said, “The best results have come in cities where the mayor is in charge of the school system. So you have one executive, and the school board isn’t as powerful.”

Gates on Africa: With investments in or deals with Monsanto, Cargill, and Merck, Gates has demonstrated his preference for corporate control over poor countries deemed unable to help themselves. But no problem — according to Gates, “By 2035, there will be almost no poor countries left in the world.”

Warren Buffett: Demanding To Be Taxed at a Higher Rate (As Long As His Own Company Doesn’t Have To Pay)

Warren Buffett has advocated forhigher taxes on the rich and a reasonable estate tax. But his company Berkshire Hathaway has used “hypothetical amounts” to ‘pay’ its taxes while actually deferring $77 billion in real taxes.

Jeff Bezos: $50 Billion in Less Than Two Years, and Fighting Taxes All the Way

Since the end of 2015 Jeff Bezos has accumulated enough wealth to cover the entire $50 billion U.S. housing budget, which serves five million Americans. Bezos, who has profited greatly from the Internet and the infrastructure built up over many years by many people with many of our tax dollars, has used tax havens and high-priced lobbyists to avoid the taxes owed by his company.

Mark Zuckerberg (6th Richest in World, 4th Richest in America)

While Zuckerberg was developing his version of social networking at Harvard, Columbia University students Adam Goldberg and Wayne Ting built a system called Campus Network, which was much more sophisticated than the early versions of Facebook. But Zuckerberg had the Harvard name and better financial support. It was also alleged that Zuckerberg hacked into competitors’ computers to compromise user data.

Now with his billions he has created a ‘charitable’ foundation, which in reality is a tax-exempt limited liability company, leaving him free to make political donations or sell his holdings, all without paying taxes. Everything has fallen into place for young Zuckerberg. Nothing left for him to do but run for President.

The False Promise of Philanthropy

Many super-rich individuals have pledged the majority of their fortunes to philanthropic causes. That’s very generous — if they keep their promises. But that’s not really the point.

American billionaires all made their money because of the research and innovation and infrastructure that make up the foundation of our modern technologies. They have taken credit, along with their massive fortunes, for successes that derive from society rather than from a few individuals. It should not be any one person’s decision about the proper use of that wealth. Instead a significant portion of annual national wealth gains should be promised to education, housing, health research, and infrastructure. That is what Americans and their parents and grandparents have earned after a half-century of hard work and productivity.

REMEMBERING ALLAMA IQBAL (9th November): "Islam Itself Is Destiny And Will Not Suffer Destiny." -- Iqbal

"Islam Itself Is Destiny

And Will Not Suffer Destiny"

–- Allama Iqbal

****************************

Nations are born in the hearts

of poets; they prosper and die

in the hands of politicians”

Allama Iqbal

****************************

(M. Javed Naseem)

9th of November is the birth anniversary of one of the greatest thinkers of the East, the poet-philosopher of Asia Dr. Sir Mohammad Iqbal, affectionately known in the Sub-continent as Allama Iqbal. Pakistan was the brain-child of that visionary. He was born on 9th November, 1877, in Sialkot (Pakistan), and died on April 21, 1938, in Lahore (Pakistan). His original works are written in Persian, Urdu and English but have been translated in many languages.

(Note: There was some confusion about his date of birth in the past but the Government of Pakistan did some research and declared 9th November, 1877, as the correct date.)

It was Iqbal who first came up with the idea of 2-nation theory – meaning a separate homeland for millions of Muslims of India who were suffering from discrimination, racism and apartheid at the hands of racist and extremist RSS Hindus. Those were the nationalist Hindus who didn't respect their own 'Father of Nation' – Gandhi – and eventually assassinated him. Today, in the year 2020, Indian Muslims are suffering the same misery and are being killed ruthlessly.

Iqbal – the thinker, philosopher, barrister, law-maker, reformer, sufi, interpreter of the Quran, scholar and a visionary politician, is also called the "Spiritual Father of Pakistan" for his contributions to the nation. Iqbal's poems, political contributions, and academic and scholarly research were distinguished and highly respected in international forums. He inspired the Pakistan Movement in the biggest British colony – India. Personalities like him are born in centuries.

Allama Iqbal's poetry delivered a universal message of self-esteem, justice, peace and struggle for righteousness. It brought awareness among Indian Muslims and guided them on the right path to achieve a closer relationship with their Creator – Allah, and at the same time waking them up to take the responsibility of leading the nation to freedom and salvation. To the seekers of Divine, he suggested to look inside because the Creation could not be separated from its Creator.

The 'Father of Nation' – Mohammad Ali Jinnah (Quaid-e-Azam), was a great admirer of Allama Iqbal. Here's what he said about him in his Iqbal Day's message in 1943:

Dare and Live!”

Iqbal never believed in failure. he believed in the superiority of mankind over all the rest that God created. In fact he was convinced that man is a collection of all that is best in God’s universe. Only man does not know himself. Man has but to utilize his great potentialities and to use them in the right direction for the realization of that “self” which finds itself so near to God; and Islam is the code which has prescribed easy ways and means for that realization.”

Iqbal was not only a philosopher but also a practical politician. He was one of the first to conceive of the feasibility of the division of India on national lines as the only solution of India’s political problem. He was one of the most powerful though tacit precursors and heralds of the modern political evolution of Muslim India.

Iqbal, therefore, rises above the average philosopher, as the essence of his teachings is a beautiful blend of thought and action. He combines in himself the idealism of a poet and the realism of a man who took practical view of things. In Iqbal this compromise is essentially Islamic. In fact it is nothing but Islam. His ideal therefore is life according to the teachings of Islam with a motto “Dare and Live.” – M. A. Jinnah (The Dawn, March 21, 1943).

*******************

"When a nation dies,

it rarely rises from

the grave!"

Iqbal

*******************

Iqbal's “Javid-nama”

Iqbal’s magnum opus’, writes his biographer S. A. Vahid, ‘is the Javid Namah. Within a few years of its publication the poem became a classic, and one great scholar proclaimed that the poem will rank with Firdausi’s Shah Namah, Rumi’s Mathnawi, Saadi’s Gulistan and the Diwan of Hafiz. Nor was this tribute an exaggeration, as subsequent criticism showed.... In judging a poem we have to consider two things: the style and the substance. So far as the style is concerned, Javid Namah belongs to the very first rank of Persian verse. It is unsurpassed in grandeur of expression, in beauty of diction and in richness of illustration. As regards theme, the poem deals with the everlasting conflict of the soul, and by telling the story of human struggle against sin, shows to mankind the path to glory and peace. In every line the poet makes us feel that he has something to say that is not only worth saying, but is also fitted to give us pleasure. Thus, as regards style as well as theme the poem is a masterpiece.’

The Javid-nama, having been frequently reissued in lithograph – the edition on which the present translation is based was published in 1946 at Hyderabad (Deccan) – was first translated, into Italian, by Professor Alessandro Bausani under the title II Poema Celeste (Rome, 1952). A version in German verse, Buch der Ewigkeit (Munich, 1957), has come from the pen of Professor Annemarie Schimmel. A French version, by E. Meyerovitch and Mohammed Mokri, has the title Le Livre de l’Éternité (Paris, 1962). In 1961 a translation in English verse was published in Lahore, The Pilgrimage of Eternity by Shaikh Mahmud Ahmad. The poem has thus reached a truly international public, and has already taken its rightful place amongst the modern classics of world literature.

Here's the English translation of excerpts from the Persian Javid-Nama:

The Divine Presence

Though Paradise is a manifestation of Him

the soul reposes not, save in the vision of Him.

We are veiled from our Origin;

we are as birds who have lost our nest.

If knowledge is perverse and evil of substance

it is the greatest curtain before our eyes;

but if the object of knowledge is contemplation

it becomes at once the highway and the guide,

laying bare before you the shell of being

that you may ask, 'What is the secret of this display?'

Thus it is that knowledge smooths the road,

thus it is that it awakens desire;

it gives you pain and anguish, fire and fever,

it gives you midnight lamentations.

From the science of the interpretation of the world of color and scent

your eyes and your heart derive nourishment;

it brings to the stage of ecstasy and yearning

and then suffers you like Gabriel to stand.

Zinda-Rud

What law governs the world of color and scent,

but that water once flowed returns not to the stream?

Life has no desire for repetition,

its nature is not habituated to repetition;

beneath the sky, reversion is unlawful to life

once a people has fallen, it rises not again.

When a nation dies, it rarely rises from the grave;

what recourse has it, but the tomb and resignation?

The Voice of Beauty

Life is not a mere repetition of the breath,

its origin is from the Living, Eternal God.

The soul near to Him who said, 'Lo, I am nigh' –

that is to take one's share of everlasting life.

The individual through the Unity becomes Divine,

the nation through the Unity becomes Omnipotent.

Life is both transient and everlasting;

all this is creativity and vehement desire.

Are you alive? Be vehement, be creative;

like Us, embrace all horizons;

break whatsoever is uncongenial,

out of your heart's heart produce a new world –

it is irksome to the free servitor

to live in a world belonging to others.
