قُلْ إِن كُنتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ ٱللَّهَ فَٱتَّبِعُونِى يُحْبِبْكُمُ ٱللَّهُ

وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

“Say (O Muhammad): "If you do love Allah,

follow me! Allah will love you and forgive your

sins, for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

(al-Quran 3:31)

Muslims all over the world are busy celebrating Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.)’s birthday these days. But they should remember that scholars differ about his date of birth. Some say it is 8^th of Rabi-al-Awwal; others claim it is 9^th of Rabi-al Awwal, while another group puts it as 10^th of Rabi-al Awwal. Majority of Muslims have agreed on the 12^th of Rabi-al Awwal. But what difference does it make?

All those groups that differ on Prophet’s date of birth, do agree though on his date of death. They all agree that the Prophet (s.a.w.) died on the 12^th of Rabi-al Awwal. Having said that, the Prophet (s.a.w.) lived for 63 years but never once (never ever) celebrated his birthday. His staunch followers and all four Caliphs (Abu Bakr, Umar, Othman and Ali) did the same – never ever celebrated Prophet’s or their own birthdays! It’s not Islamic tradition.

If, as Muslims or believers, you want to pay tribute to the last Prophet of Allah – Muhammad (s.a.w.) – you better follow his teachings and pursue his manners/conduct! The Prophet lived a simple life and never had enough wealth or property liable to Zakat. Whatever was extra or beyond his immediate need, he gave it away in charity. Here’s what Prophet of Allah has commanded us:

“Return the goods entrusted to you to their

rightful owners! Hurt no one so that no one

may hurt you! Remember that you will

indeed meet your Lord, and that He will

indeed reckon your deeds.”

Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) never told a lie in his entire life. He never had three-meals a day, not even two! He used to have one meal per day and a simple breakfast with a couple of dry dates and a glass of water. For days, he wouldn’t get a hot meal. He used to fast about 12 days in every month – every Monday, every Thursday, and every 13^th, 14^th & 15^th of the Islamic month. He helped the needy and guided everybody. He always smiled and forgave other’s faults. His conduct and manners were exemplary. Both Muslims and non-Muslims who had a dealing with him, admired him. He was the most humble servant of Allah and never missed his prayers. He was very well aware of his rights and responsibilities towards others and his duty to Allah. He lived by the Book (the Quran) and that’s why Allah declared him the “best role-model” for the mankind. Allah says in the Quran:

لَّقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِى رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ لِّمَن

كَانَ يَرْجُو ٱللَّهَ وَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلآخِرَ وَذَكَرَ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيراً

“You have indeed in the Messenger of Allah a

beautiful pattern (of conduct) for any one whose

hope is in Allah and the Final Day, and who

engages much in the praise of Allah.”

(al-Quran 33:21)

Unfortunately, today’s Muslim has abandoned the Quran. He is not following the commands of Allah nor the teachings of the Prophet of Allah. The result is obvious – he is suffering and has lost all respect and honor. His ways are corrupted but he considers that ‘normal’. His goal is money, wealth, property and worldly luxuries. He follows his own lusts and greed disrespecting God’s commands and Prophet’s teachings. He is far away from Allah and the Prophet but he is always ready to kill others who disrespect his Prophet and God.

Muslim is the one who follows or practices Islam. There is a very common description or definition of Islam. Islam means surrender or submission to the Will of God. And it is not complicated to understand.

Our problem today is that practically, we are far from Islam. We are competing with non-Muslims for material gains, and we are adopting Pagan traditions. We have fabricated Hadith and we want to live by those fake Hadith traditions, not by the Quranic laws and commands. We accuse Jews and Christians that they have altered their books while we are following the alternate book of Hadith and not the Quran which is the real and most authentic source of guidance. Allah commands us:

“And follow the best of what was

revealed to you from your Lord before

the punishment comes upon you suddenly

while you do not perceive!”

(al-Quran 39:55)

The Holy Quran is the Word of God and everything else is the word of man. The Quran is the only authentic book of guidance and no other book can replace it. The true guidance comes from Allah and it came in the form of the Quran. Allah declares:

“This is a blessed Book which We have

revealed to you, (O Muhammad), that they

might reflect upon its verses and that those

of understanding would be reminded.”

(al-Quran 38:29)

The Quran is the best Book of Guidance and Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) is the best role-model for us. He showed the believers how to live by the Book, following the true path. The best way for us to show our love for the Prophet (s.a.w.) and obedience to the Almighty Allah, is to follow the Quran and live by the teachings of the Prophet (s.a.w.). It is very unfortunate that we are deviating from the Quran and taking shelter in the fake or fabricated Hadith books. Those books didn’t exist during the life of the Prophet nor the lives of the early Caliphs of Islam.

The Prophet (s.a.w.) himself warned us about our conduct and deeds during his last sermon of Hajj and said:

France is a racist country that hides its racism, bias/discrimination, Islamophobia and cruel injustice to the minorities under the glittering cover of its slogan “Liberty, Equality & Fraternity”. The last three consecutive governments of hypocrites, who claim to be secular socialists, have systematically flared, instigated, promoted and encouraged racism and Islamophobia in France. We are seeing the results these days with ever-increasing anti-Muslim incidents and the racist President himself making anti-Islam and anti-Muslim speeches. Macron is a small/mean man holding a job much bigger than his size and abilities.

There are millions of good French people – honest, compassionate, sincere, just, hard-working and peace-loving who enjoy good relations with the minorities but a small number of evil-minded far-Right extremists holding some influential government jobs are playing the dirty games. Biased French and Western media is pursuing its own agenda to make things worse. For a few decades now, France has become another ugly face of Israel in Europe. It victimizes minorities and when the minorities show any reaction, it cries foul and claims to be the victim!

Here’s an interesting quote from the Bible:

“Thus says the Lord GOD, ‘Enough, you

princes of Israel; put away violence and

destruction, and practice justice and

righteousness! Stop your expropriations

from My people,’ declares the Lord GOD.”

– (Ezekiel 45:9)

That was a quote from the Bible. It shows that things were not different during the age of the Prophets Moses and Jesus. Has the House of Israel improved on morals and ethics and its treatment of others? No; not at all. On the contrary, it has gone from bad to worse and still worsening by the day.

It does not matter how far Syria, Iraq, Palestine or Libya is from America, Britain or France; how far India is from Britain; or how far Middle Eastern oil-rich countries are from America and Europe, they are always easy targets. Those countries were always attacked, invaded and colonized by the white Americans and Europeans under one pretext (excuse) or the other. The history of the last two centuries tells the bloody stories of invasions, occupation and colonization. When the occupied nations show some resistance, they are labeled ‘terrorists’ and bombed. You are held prisoner in your own home and are not allowed to raise your voice in protest!

Famous French-West Indian political philosopher Frantz Fanon once said:

“Two centuries ago, a former European colony decided to catch up with Europe. It succeeded so well that the United States of America became a monster, in which the taints, the sickness, and the inhumanity of Europe have grown to appalling dimensions.” ― Frantz Fanon (‘The Wretched of The Earth’).

Allah the Almighty told the believers in the Quran more than 1400 years ago that unbelievers had joined hands together and were constantly working against them. They (the forces of Evil) would continue spreading corruption, injustice and violence unless the forces of Good unite against them and try to stop their onslaught. Justice is the only way to peace. No justice, no peace! There is no other solution to the world’s problems and to peace!

“The unbelievers are protectors, one of

another. Unless you do this, (protect each

other), there would be tumult and oppression

on earth, and great mischief.”

(al-Quran 8:73)

In his book about People of Shaam (Syria & Lebanon) Prof. Adil Abu Shanab tells the story of an Arab Sheikh who got into a discussion with one of the French occupation officers during the French occupation of Syria (the French, the Americans and the Europeans are in Syria again!). The French officer had invited some Syrian dignitaries to a dinner. One of the invitees was an old Sheikh with his white beard. When the French officer saw the old Sheikh eating with his fingers, he tried to ridicule him by asking him:

“Why are you not eating like us?”

The Sheikh replied: “Do you see me eating by my nose?”

The French officer sheepishly answered: “I mean, why don’t you use fork and knife?”

The sheikh replied: “I am sure of the cleanliness of my hand, but are you sure of the cleanliness of your fork and knife?”

This shut the French officer up, but he made up his mind to get vengeance on the old Sheikh.

At the feast, the wife of the French officer was sitting to his right and the daughter to his left. The French officer, to spite the man of God, asked for wine to be brought, and proceeded to pour for himself, his wife and daughter. He started to drink in a way to annoy the Sheikh. But the old man did not show any reaction. Then the French officer asked him:

“Listen O Sheikh! You like grapes and eat them, don’t you?”

To which the Sheikh replied in the affirmative.

The French officer pointed towards the grapes, hoping to beat the old sheikh, and said:

“This drink is from these grapes, so why do you eat grapes, but keep away from the wine?”

All the guests looked at the old Sheikh, feeling that he would have no answer to that.

The Sheikh calmly replied:

“This is your wife, and this, your daughter, is from her, right? So how is it that your wife is legitimate (Halal) for you in bed but your daughter is not?”

It is said that the French officer immediately ordered for the wine to be removed from the table.

Iraq and Syria were always under fire during the last 200 years, even before. The ancient Babylonian history tells us that one of the greatest battle between Good and Evil was fought between Nimrod and Prophet Abraham in the region which is called Iraq today.

The modern history of the world tells us that so-called Terrorism, Islamic Extremism, WMD, Taliban, Boca Haram, Al-Shabab, ISIS/ISIL/IS, Daesh, etc., are all lame excuses fabricated to invade the oil-rich Islamic Middle East – especially Iraq, Syria, Libya. The Anglo-American West invaded or attacked these countries in every century (many times in 20^th & 21^st centuries) with no mention of terrorism! There were always political and economic considerations. The region has been the battleground of Good & Evil for centuries. How ironic that in those conflicts, one party was always the arrogant white man of either Europe or America!

In the 20^th century, the arrogant white man nurtured a bully (Israel) in the Middle East to plunder the petrol, gas and other natural resources of the region; and at the same time keep the resisting region under political control.

While the entire world, especially the population of the poor countries, is suffering from the miserable living conditions created or caused by the Coronavirus or Covid-19, those at the helm of affairs – the Elite Club – are dragging it to the summer of 2021, to prove that their predictions were correct. So far, despite creating fear, panic and uncertainty – apart from unemployment and poverty – that have not achieved the “target figures” they announced in 2019. They predicted that 65 million people worldwide would be killed by the pandemic within 18 months (by June 2021).

People of the world are already fed up with the real or fake figures and the so-called preventive or safety measures. They are facing all kinds of financial, social and economic problems due to closures, lay-offs and unemployment. No-free-medical coverage and lack of government support have added to their misery. Not every victim benefited from the government relief or assistance packages. But big companies and corporations did benefit from the government bailouts and subsidies. In other words, Corona also contributed towards the uneven and unjust distribution of wealth.

The Great Philanthropy

Oligarchic philanthropy will be a dominant feature of this VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity) decade.

According to a recent Guardian report, philanthropic foundations have multiplied exponentially in the past two decades, controlling a war chest worth more than $1.5 trillion. That is sufficient to bankroll a horde of experts, NGOs, industry lobbies, media and fact-checkers worldwide. Large sums can also be distributed rapidly to undermine governments.

The laws governing scientific empiricism are no longer static and immutable; they must dance in tandem with the funding. Those who scream fake news are usually its foremost peddlers. This is yet another “new normal” which had predated Covid-19 by years.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) is a prime example of how oligarchic philanthropy works. Since 2000, it has donated more than $45 billion to “charitable causes” and a chunk of this is designed to control the global media narrative. As for the BMGF’s alleged success in eradicating polio, officials now fear that a dangerous new strain could soon “jump continents.” After spending $16 billion over 30 years to eradicate polio, international health bodies – which work closely with BMGF – have “accidentally” reintroduced the disease to Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan.

Poverty, hunger and desperation will spawn a tangible degree of public gratitude despite elite philanthropy’s entrenched bias towards elite institutions and causes. By the Guardian’s own admission, “British millionaires gave £1.04bn to the arts, and just £222m to alleviating poverty” in the 10-year period to 2017. Contrast this with the annual $10 billion earmarked by the philanthropic pool for “ideological persuasion in the US alone.” The rabble is worth their weight only for the potential havoc they can wreak.

There is enough money floating around to reduce our cities into bedlams of anarchy as seen in the United States today. The crumbs left over can be delegated to threadbare charities. One only needs to reflect on soup kitchens in the post-1929 Weimar Republic. The most popular ones were organized by the Nazi party and funded by wealthy patrons. The march towards a new order has a familiar historical meme. The new Brownshirts are those who terrorize citizens for not wearing masks, for not being locked down in their pens, and for simply supporting a political candidate of choice.

Even children are not spared!

The Great Reset

A great pruning will inevitably occur in the mega-billionaire club as whatever remains of the global corona-economy is systematically cannibalized. The club will get smaller but wealthier and will attempt to sway our collective destiny. Control over education, healthcare, means of communications and basic social provisions is being increasingly ceded by governments to the global elite. Governments colluding in the “new normal” will sooner or later face the ire of distressed masses. Politicians and assorted “social justice warriors” will be scapegoated once they have outlived their usefulness.

In this cauldron, the century-old technocratic dream of replacing politicians, electoral processes and businesses with societies run by scientists and technical experts may emerge – thanks to advances in panoptic technologies. It will be an age for the “rational science of production” and “scientific collectivism.” The latter is eerily redolent of the Soviet Sharaska (prison labs) system.

The production and supply of goods will be coordinated by a central directorate, led not by elected representatives (whose roles, where they exist, will be nominal anyway) but by technocrat factotums. Perhaps this is what the World Economic Forum refers to as the Great Reset. In reality though, this idea smacks of a global Gosplan minus the Doctor Sausages for the innumerable many. (Some emerging economies like Malaysia and India casually refer to technocracy as an infusion of greater technical expertise into an extant bureaucracy. This is a misinterpretation of technocracy’s long-standing means and goals).

One intractable problem remains: will the emerging global oligarchy tolerate the existence of various ‘deep states’ worldwide? Initially, both groupings may cooperate to their mutual benefit but their respective raisons d'etre are too contradictory to be reconciled. One thrives on an “open society” run by obedient hirelings who will administer a global Ministry of Truth while the other depends on secrecy and a degree of national sovereignty to justify its existence.

Surveillance technologies ushered in by the ongoing “coronapsychosis” may end up being the deciding factor.

Allah is ‘Infinite Mercy’ and ‘Infinite Love’. He created us and He loves us many times more than a mother loves her children. He commanded us to be grateful and obedient to Him so that he would shower His blessings and bounties on us. But at the same time, He warned us of Shaitan (the Devil) being our enemy manifest. He clearly warned us of painful punishment if we followed Shaitan (doing evil deeds and disobeying Allah’s commands).

“Allah created the heavens and the earth

for just ends, and in order that each soul

may find the recompense of what it has

earned, and none of them be wronged.”

(al-Quran 45:22)

For a long time now, I have seen people preaching Islam (doing Da’wah) on TV and on social media/internet. They always quote some Quranic verse: “Whom Allah guides, nobody can misguide him; and whom Allah misguides (sends astray), nobody can guide him”. Excuse me? Are you wrongfully accusing Allah? That is slander, a blasphemy!

Allah has created everything (including

you) in Truth. Why would He mislead

you and then burn you in Hellfire? Many

people are promoting incorrect translation

of the Quranic verses to wrongfully accuse

God! Allah never leads people astray!

Instead, He guides them to the right path.

The true guidance comes from Allah and that can guarantee our success in this world as well as in the Hereafter. I have been arguing with people to clarify and make them understand the true meanings of such verses. Here’s the correct translation:

وَمَن يَهْدِ ٱللَّهُ فَهُوَ ٱلْمُهْتَدِ وَمَن يُضْلِلْ

فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِهِ“

It is he whom Allah guides, that is on true”

Guidance; but he whom He leaves astray, for

such will you find no protector besides Him.”

(al-Quran 17:97)

The FaceBook or internet preachers) are promoting incorrect translations of the Quran. Allah never misguides, misleads or sends anybody astray. The English and Urdu translators (copying each others) are the source of this blasphemy. Even the so-called ‘scholars’ have erred on this verse.

Allah guides people from the Darkness to the Light. He guided Adam and Eve when they were misled by Shaitan. He sent thousands of prophets or messengers to guide humanity to the right path. When we follow our lusts, desires and greed, we go astray, under the influence of our enemy Shaitan.

Now, imagine for a second that the whole world has gone astray. Then there are some who realize what has happened, and they repent begging Allah for forgiveness and mercy. Allah knows best who is sincerely repenting and asking for forgiveness. So, He forgives whom He wills. But how about the rest? Well, He leaves the rest wherever they are. If they are astray, He leaves them there. If they are sinful, He leaves them in sin. He does not guide them because they don’t seek guidance. Their actions don’t support their case (requesting forgiveness).

Here’s another example from Surah al-Room, verse 29. Yusuf Ali, being my favorite translator (but I consult at least 5 translations), renders the following translation of this verse:

بَلِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوۤاْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ فَمَن

يَهْدِى مَنْ أَضَلَّ ٱللَّهُ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِّن نَّاصِرِينَ

“Nay, the wrong-doers (merely) follow

their own lusts, being devoid of knowledge.

But who will guide those whom Allah leaves

astray? To them there will be no helpers.”

(al-Quran 30:29)

Pickthal’s translation goes like this:

“Nay, but those who do wrong follow their

own lusts without knowledge. Who is able to

guide him whom Allah hath sent astray?

For such there are no helpers.”

(al-Quran 30:29)

And it is not Pickthal alone. Shakir Ali and Khalifa have also translated the above verse like Pickthal.

Similarly, most of the Urdu translators (even some of the famous Ulema) have made the same mistake of adopting Pickthal’s version without much thinking. Here’s the Urdu translation from Fateh Mohammad Khan Jalandhari:

This one (below) is translated by Sheikh-ul-Hind Maulana Mahmood-ul Hassan. The translation is incorrect but the ‘Tafseer’ (explanation) is correct which is done by Maulana Shabbir Ahmed Usmani:

The Almighty revealed the Quran to guide people who had gone astray. He did not send them astray, He only let them go and stay astray because they never repented. Allah clarifies in Surah al-Qasas that it’s the lusts of people that send them astray. And when they keep following their own desires and lusts (instead of repenting), Allah does not guide them. He leaves them in that condition:

“But if they hearken not to you, know that

they only follow their own lusts; and who is

more astray than one who follow his own lusts,

devoid of guidance from Allah? For Allah

guides not people given to wrong-doing.”

(al-Quran 28:50)

Therefore, it is not the incorrect translation alone but also blaming Allah for something He never did! That’s a blasphemy! We make our own choices – right or wrong – and Allah lets us do that. He allows us to do wrong because He knows that One Day we would be answering questions and held accountable for all that we did. We would be rewarded accordingly. 

Allah did not send Nimrod astray nor the Pharaoh of Egypt. They chose to go astray and Allah tried to show them the path of guidance through His prophets Abraham and Moses, respectively. But they did not repent so Allah left them in that condition. Therefore, it would be wrong to say that Allah sent them astray. Allah just allowed them to go whatever way they chose to go.

“Allah disdains not to use the similitude of

things, lowest as well as highest. Those who

believe know that it is truth from their Lord;

but those who reject Faith say: "What means

Allah by this similitude?" By it He causes

many to stray, and many He leads into the

right path; but He causes not to stray,

except those who forsake (the path).”

(al-Quran 2:26)

The above verse tells us clearly that Allah does not cause anybody to go astray. It’s the people who forsake the right path, by their own choice, to go astray and Allah lets them go in that direction.

One thing is clear that going astray is on the part of man while guidance is on the part of Allah. He guides whom He wills. When Allah withdraws His guidance, nobody can save that person from Hellfire.

“For any whom Allah leaves astray,

there is no protector thereafter. And

you will see the wrong-doers, when in

sight of the Penalty, say: "Is there any

way (to effect) a return?"

(al-Quran 42:44)

Temptation is strong and we are weak; so we fall for it. When we sin, following our own desires and lusts, Allah waits for our repentance (Taubah). He gives us a lot of time (years and years) to come back to the right path. But when we ignore Him, don’t repent nor ask for His forgiveness, and arrogantly keep walking on the road to sin, Allah withdraws His favor and guidance. He leaves us astray. Again, it was our choice; He did not send us astray (we chose that way)!

“Then do you see such a one as takes as

his god his own vain desire? Allah has,

knowing (him as such), left him astray,

and sealed his hearing and his heart (and

understanding), and put a cover on his sight.

Who, then, will guide him after Allah (has

withdrawn Guidance)? Will you not

then receive admonition?”

(al-Quran 45:23)

In Three Classes!

What Class Do You Belong To?

“We have explained in detail in this Quran,

for the benefit of mankind, every kind of

similitude but man is, in most things,

contentious.”

(al-Quran 18:54)

In the Book (the Quran), Allah has made things very clear, straight and easy for us to understand and to follow in our daily life. Unfortunately, man has become crooked and always looks for excuses to not follow the Book. In today’s world, all the information, guidance and awareness is at your finger tips. So, there is no excuse for not doing your homework or research on any subject to dig out the truth.

When Allah is not happy with us, He sends us signals and warning signs so that we change our ways and get back to the right path. But if we continue to defy the nature and show our arrogance by spreading corruption and injustice in the world, Allah punishes us collectively, as a nation, by appointing a corrupt and unjust ruler upon us. Today, if we look around, we only see corrupt and unjust rulers. The solution does not lie in changing the corrupt or evil ruler. The real solution lies in changing ourselves for the better and getting back to the right path detailed for us by God.

“Praise be to Allah, Who has sent to His servant

the Book, and has allowed therein no crookedness.

(He has made it) straight (and clear) in order that

He may warn (the godless) of a terrible punishment

from Him, and that He may give glad tidings to

the believers who work righteous deeds, that

they shall have a goodly reward (Paradise),

wherein they shall remain for ever.”

(al-Quran 18:1-3)

Today, everybody knows (or claims to know) what is Right and what is Wrong. If people want, they can separate the Truth from the Lies. The Divine Truth in the form of the Quran is available to everybody for guidance. It’s entirely up to us to accept or reject the message of Truth. We make our own choices in life and we would be held responsible for those choices too. Similarly, we reap the rewards of those choices in this world and in the Hereafter. On the Day of Judgment, we would be answering to our Lord Creator for making those choices.

“Say: ‘The truth is from your Lord’. Let him who

will believe, and let him who will, reject (it). For

the wrong-doers We have prepared a Fire whose

(smoke and flames), like the walls and roof of a

tent, will hem them in. If they implore relief they

will be granted water like melted brass, that will

scald their faces, how dreadful the drink!

How uncomfortable a couch to recline on!”

(al-Quran 18:29)

Eventually, it is the righteousness that will secure a place for you in Paradise. Nothing else would matter. And righteousness includes everything the Almighty has commanded us to do or has forbidden us to do. In other words, it means His obedience. On the Day of Judgment, people would be divided into three classes or groups, according to their performance; and then sent to their final destination – Heaven or Hell. Allah describes them in the Quran as:

1. The Foremost in Faith

2. Companions of the Right

3. Companions of the Left

The Premier Class: Those who try to please Allah the best possible way, by obeying all His commands, no matter what, they are in the special class. They have sacrificed most and have suffered most for His cause in this world. They are labeled the “Foremost in Faith”. They are the front-runners and they would be enjoying the best seats on the Day of Judgment. Allah is pleased with them and they would be treated like VIPs. Most of them would be early Muslims who suffered most and sacrificed their lives for the sake of establishing Islam and Allah’s way. They stayed away from sins and submitted to the Will of Allah unconditionally. They are rightly called the “first and the foremost” or generally speaking the Premier Class.

“And you shall be sorted out into three classes.

 
Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right

Hand. What will be the Companions of the Right

Hand? And the Companions of the Left Hand.

What will be the Companions of the Left Hand?

And those Foremost (in Faith) will be Foremost (in

the Hereafter). They will be those nearest to Allah,

in the Garden of Bliss; a number of people from

those of old, and a few from those of later times.”

(al-Quran 56:7-14)

The Regular Class: Most people in Paradise would be from the ‘regular’ class or as in the aviation industry ‘economy/passenger’ class. Those are the people (hopefully) like you and me who got lucky with the Mercy and Grace of Allah; whose millions of sins were wiped off by Merciful Allah as a reward of one or more good deeds. We know that on the basis of our good deeds we won’t merit Paradise. We don’t qualify but still hope that our repentance (Istaghfar) would win the Grace and Mercy of Allah, and His forgiveness will save us from the Hellfire. This group is labeled as ‘Companions of the Right’ – the people who tried to please Allah with all their limitations (sins). 

“As to those who believe and work righteousness,

verily We shall not suffer to perish the reward of

any who do a (single) righteous deed. For them

will be Gardens of Eternity; beneath them rivers

will flow; they will be adorned therein with

bracelets of gold, and they will wear green garments

of fine silk and heavy brocade: They will recline

therein on raised thrones. How good the recompense!

How beautiful a couch to recline on!”

(al-Quran 18:30-31)

The Condemned Class: The last group is called the ‘Companions of the Left’. They are the cursed ones, the rejected ones and those who did not believe in Allah, His dominion and the Day of Judgment. This group contains those who rejected or ignored Allah’s commands and preferred sinful life despite all warnings. That is going to be the biggest group of people and would also include tyrants, unjust rulers, kings, corrupt presidents & prime ministers along with their corrupt cronies and officials who took oath to serve mankind but ended up serving their own interests only. They ignored God in this world and God will ignore them in the Hereafter. People who disobeyed Allah, ridiculed His commands, enjoyed corruption, profited from injustice and never repented, would be in that class. They’ll burn in the Hellfire.

“The Companions of the Left Hand: What will be

the Companions of the Left Hand? (They will be)

in the midst of a Fierce Blast of Fire and in boiling

water, and in the shades of black smoke. Nothing

(will there be) to refresh, nor to please. For that

they were wont to be indulged, before that, in

wealth (and luxury), and persisted obstinately

in wickedness supreme!”

(al-Quran 56:41-46)

We still have time to strive for a better class. It is now or never! With repentance, we can win His forgiveness, and with sincere efforts to perform good deeds we can win His Mercy and Grace. And that would be the only shield of protection for us! Good luck!
