God’s Prescription For

All Human Ailments

يٰأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ قَدْ جَآءَتْكُمْ مَّوْعِظَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ

 وَشِفَآءٌ لِّمَا فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
“O mankind! There has come to you a direction

from your Lord and a healing for the (diseases)

in your hearts; and for those who believe,

a guidance and a Mercy.”

(al-Quran 10:57)

If there’s a doubt in your mind about the benefits of the revelations of Allah, the Almighty, He reassures you in the Holy Quran at many places:

وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ ٱلْقُرْآنِ مَا هُوَ شِفَآءٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

وَلاَ يَزِيدُ ٱلظَّالِمِينَ إَلاَّ خَسَاراً
“We send down (stage by stage) in the Quran

that which is a healing and a mercy to those

who believe. To the unjust, it causes nothing

but loss after loss.”

(al-Quran 17:82)

In the Holy Quran, we’ll find the stories of previous nations who rejected the message of Allah, deviated from the right path and rebelled against the Laws of Allah. They were wiped off the land as if they never existed. The nations of Aad, Thamud, Noah, Nimrod, Lot, Shuaib, Pharaoh, etc., they all became part of the history and a lesson for the mankind. Allah says:

وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا ٱلْقُرُونَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَمَّا ظَلَمُواْ

وَجَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَاتِ وَمَا كَانُواْ

لِيُؤْمِنُواْ كَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِى   ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ

“We destroyed the generations before you

when they did wrong; and their messengers

(from Allah) came unto them with clear proofs

(of His Sovereignty), but they would not

believe. Thus do we reward the guilty folk.”

(al-Quran 10:13)

But did the mankind really learn any lesson from the history? Today, we are in the same situation once again, or even worse. Allah has extended the leash, giving us plenty of time to repent and change our ways, but nothing is improving. On the contrary, the only change that we see, is the change for the worse – ‘Haraam’ is spreading. We are chasing an illusion. We have ignored all warnings and have arrogantly defied the Commands of Allah.

The righteous few, the friends of Allah, have already received the signals of the coming punishment which is almost at our doorsteps. Now, it is just a matter of weeks or months. Wake up, people! It is coming! Can we still not see it?

Then we must be blind, deaf and dumb! Prepare yourself for a rude awakening!

وَلَقَدْ ذَرَأْنَا لِجَهَنَّمَ كَثِيراً مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلإِنْسِ

لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ لاَّ يَفْقَهُونَ بِهَا وَلَهُمْ أَعْيُنٌ

لاَّ يُبْصِرُونَ بِهَا وَلَهُمْ آذَانٌ لاَّ يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَآ

أُوْلَـٰئِكَ كَٱلأَنْعَامِ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ أُوْلَـٰئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْغَافِلُونَ

“Already have We urged unto hell many of the

Jinn and humankind, having hearts wherewith they

understand not, and having eyes wherewith they

see not, and having ears wherewith they hear not.

These are as the cattle - nay, but they are worse!

These are the neglectful.”

(al-Quran 7:179)

We have made our choices. We have sowed the seeds of injustice and corruption; the seeds of evil and transgression; and now is the time to harvest. We shall reap what we have sowed, that is the law of nature. If that happened to the nations of the old, it can happen to us too. We are NO exception!

We have seen the warning signs – the fires, floods, storms and hurricanes, tsunamis and earthquakes. But we didn’t budge. The door of repentance is still open. There is very little time left but there’s still a chance. It might be the last chance!

Satan was cursed because of his arrogance and was destined to Hell. We are guilty of the same crime. Allah warned us not to follow him as he was an open enemy to us.

أَلَمْ أَعْهَدْ إِلَيْكُمْ يٰبَنِيۤ آدَمَ أَن

لاَّ تَعْبُدُواْ ٱلشَّيطَانَ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ

“Did I not charge you, O you sons of Adam!

That you should not serve the Shaitan?

Surely he is your open enemy.”

(al-Quran 36:60)

It is a pity that we don’t listen to Allah but listen and follow the Devil. Allah is the Truth and the Devil is a lie – full of deception. Allah wants us to go to Heaven but Devil leads us to Hell; and we accompany Devil willingly. Are we not concerned about the terrible consequences of disobedience to Allah?

وَمَا وَجَدْنَا لِـأَكْثَرِهِم مِّنْ عَهْدٍ

وَإِن وَجَدْنَآ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَفَاسِقِينَ

“Most of them We found not men (true)

to their covenant; but most of them

We found rebellious and disobedient.”

(al-Quran 7:102)

Disobedience merits punishment. Rebellion against Allah cannot go unpunished. O Ummah! Look at the history of mankind!

أَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُمْ

مِّنَ ٱلْقُرُونِ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لاَ يَرْجِعُونَ

‘Have they not seen how many generations

We destroyed before them, which indeed

returned not unto them?’

(al-Quran 36:31)

If we continue on the path of evil and injustice, it is not very difficult to predict the results. We are fortunate that the wrath of Allah did not hit us, in full swing, yet. We had only small scale warnings. Feel the urgency, please! Now is the time to revert. Let us repent and ask Allah for His mercy and forgiveness! We might still be saved from the bigger disaster.

Here is Allah’s prescription for our salvation and prosperity:

يٰأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ ٱرْكَعُواْ وَٱسْجُدُواْ وَاعْبُدُواْ

رَبَّكُمْ وَٱفْعَلُواْ ٱلْخَيْرَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ

فَأَقِيمُواْ ٱلصَّلواَةَ وَآتُواْ ٱلزَّكَواةَوَٱعْتَصِمُواْ…

بِٱللَّهِ هُوَ مَوْلاَكُمْفَنِعْمَ ٱلْمَوْلَىٰ وَنِعْمَ ٱلنَّصِيرُ

“O you who believe! Bow down and prostate

yourselves, and worship your Lord, and do

good, that haply you may prosper. ………..

So establish worship, pay the poor-due, and

hold fast to Allah. He is your Protecting Friend.

A blessed Patron and a blessed Helper…”

(al-Quran 22:77-78)

Allah’s help and guidance is there for us but it comes to those only who seek it and strive for it. A mother does not feed her baby unless the baby cries. Here is a recipe to seek Allah’s help:

يَآأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ ٱسْتَعِينُواْ بِٱلصَّبْرِ

وَٱلصَّلاَةِ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلصَّابِرِينَ

“O you who believe! Seek help with patient

perseverance and prayer; for Allah is

with those who patiently persevere.”

(al-Quran 2:153)

Patient perseverance means steadfastness (Istiqamat). It is the basic requisite of Islam. You believe in Allah, obey His commands, His messengers, and keep doing the right things; then ask for Allah’s mercy and forgiveness. He will surely bless you; but He will also test your faith, your honesty, your sincerity, i.e., your steadfastness. If you stay the course, of course with His help, you will be blessed. It is hard but worth trying. This is God’s prescription and it always works without fail!

وَفِيۤ أَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقٌّ لَّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلْمَحْرُومِ

“And in their wealth and possessions (was

remembered) the right of the (needy,) him

who asked, and him who (for some reason)

was prevented (from asking).”

(al-Quran 51:19)

When a man starts hoarding wealth, gold, silver, jewelry, etc., he does not think about his death. He thinks about tomorrow and living a happy/luxury life in the near future but he does not like to think about the end of himself. His death can come any time to meet him – even tomorrow or in the near future. So, what good that wealth, gold or silver be when you are gone and leave everything for others?

It seems that greed hamper’s the mental faculties of a man. He cannot think clearly, and cannot plan logically or reasonably.

As a believer, a man is told to remember his death and the Hereafter. He needs to work on the life after death right in this world while he is still breathing.

Another thing most of us forget that we are commanded by the Almighty Lord to take care of the needy, the poor, the orphans and the weaker/older generation. They all have a share in our wealth. If we don’t deliver that share to them, we are guilty of theft; and that’s a crime. And all crimes merit punishment.

The Believers are warned by the Almighty of hoarding wealth or accumulating money, gold, silver, jewels, etc. Allah gives us wealth to share with the needy and the poor. This is an obligation that we cannot escape from. Allah says:

ٰأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ إِنَّ كَثِيراً مِّنَ ٱلأَحْبَارِ وَٱلرُّهْبَانِ

 لَيَأْكُلُونَ أَمْوَالَ ٱلنَّاسِ بِٱلْبَاطِلِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن

 سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَكْنِزُونَ ٱلذَّهَبَ وَٱلْفِضَّةَ وَلاَ يُنفِقُونَهَا

 فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
“O you who believe! There are indeed many among

the priests and anchorites, who in falsehood devour

the substance of men and hinder (them) from the way

of Allah. And there are those who bury gold and

silver and spend it not in the way of Allah.

Announce unto them a most grievous penalty!”

(al-Quran 9:34)

يَوْمَ يُحْمَىٰ عَلَيْهَا فِى نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ فَتُكْوَىٰ بِهَا

 جِبَاهُهُمْ وَجُنوبُهُمْ وَظُهُورُهُمْ هَـٰذَا مَاكَنَزْتُمْ لِـأَنْفُسِكُمْ

 فَذُوقُواْ مَاكُنتُمْ تَكْنِزُونَ
”On the Day when heat will be produced out of that

(wealth) in the fire of Hell, and with it will be branded

their foreheads, their flanks, and their backs. ‘This is

the (treasure) which you buried for yourselves. Taste,

then, the (treasures) you buried (hoarded)!"

(al-Quran 9:35)

That reminds me of an historic event that marked the end of the Abbasid Muslim Caliphate in the Middle East – the encounter between the Mongol warrior Holagu Khan and the Muslim Caliph of Baghdad, Musta’sim Billah. Here’s a brief refresher!

After defeating the Assassins, Hulagu sent word to Al-Musta'sim, demanding his acquiescence to the terms imposed by Möngke. Al-Musta'sim refused, in large part due to the influence of his Shia advisor and grand vizier, Ibn al-Alkami. Historians have ascribed various motives to al-Alkami's opposition to submission, including treachery and incompetence, and it appears that he lied to the Caliph about the severity of the invasion, assuring Al-Musta'sim that, if the capital of the caliphate was endangered by a Mongol army, the Islamic world would rush to its aid.

The Mongols were close to the city, establishing themselves on both banks of the Tigris River, so as to form a pincer around the city. Al-Musta'sim finally decided to fight them and sent out a force of 20,000 cavalry to attack the Mongols. The cavalry were wiped out by the Mongols, who breached dikes along the Tigris River and flooded the ground behind the Abbasid forces, trapping them.

Al-Musta'sim attempted to open negotiations with Hulagu, who rebuffed the Caliph. Around 3,000 of Baghdad's notables also tried to negotiate with Hulagu but were murdered. Five days later, the city surrendered, but the Mongols did not enter the city until the 13th February, 1258, beginning a week of massacre and destruction. Many historical accounts detailed the cruelties of the Mongol conquerors.

Baghdad became a depopulated, ruined city for several centuries and only gradually recovered some of its former glory. The Mongols looted and then destroyed mosques, palaces, libraries, and hospitals. Priceless books from Baghdad's thirty-six public libraries were torn apart, the looters using their leather covers as sandals. Grand buildings that had been the work of generations were burned to the ground. The House of Wisdom (the Grand Library of Baghdad), containing countless precious historical documents and books on subjects ranging from medicine to astronomy, was destroyed. Survivors said that the waters of the Tigris ran black with ink from the enormous quantities of books flung into the river and red from the blood of the scientists and philosophers killed.

Citizens attempted to flee, but were intercepted by Mongol soldiers who killed in abundance, sparing neither women nor children. Martin Sicker writes that close to 90,000 people may have died. Other estimates go much higher. Wassaf claims the loss of life was several hundred thousand. Ian Frazier of The New Yorker says estimates of the death toll have ranged from 200,000 to a million.

The city had about a million inhabitants, and none were allowed to escape. The only people who were spared were Baghdad’s population of Nestorian Christians. Hulagu’s mother was a Nestorian, and this is why he let them live. (Courtesy: Wikipedia).

The Caliph Al-Musta'sim was captured and forced to watch as his citizens were murdered and his treasury plundered. The Travels of Marco Polo reports that upon finding the caliph's great stores of treasure (gold, silver and jewels) which could have been spent on the defense of his realm, Hulagu Khan locked him in his treasure room without food and water, telling him "eat of your treasure as much as you will, since you are so fond of it."

According to most accounts, the Caliph was killed by trampling. The Mongols rolled the caliph up in a rug, and rode their horses over him.

Now, scroll up to the above-mentioned verses from the Quran (9:34-35)! Do you see any similarity between the two messages or the two events? There is a striking similarity! Hulagu Khan showed the world what Allah meant by those verses of the Quran. While Allah is talking about the event in the Hereafter, Hulagu Khan showed a light version of that in this world. The message is loud and clear: No hoarding or accumulation of wealth! The same wealth can become your punishment.

Have we learned any lesson from the History? Probably not!

Once they take over, they destroy the infrastructure so that the locals become dependent on them while becoming part of their big consumer market. The New World Order (or One World Order) is being pursued vehemently and violently. Some critics say that it is also an effort to establish white supremacy in the entire world.

The evil Zionist rulers of the world are using ‘Jews’ and the so-called Jewish state Israel as an excuse for their expansionist adventures, destroying Arab countries and annexing their land for a Greater Israel. In the process, they are eliminating all opposition in those countries (killing millions of innocent civilians). The puppet European leaders are so scared that they cannot even openly criticize Israel or the Evil Empire for their nefarious designs and human rights violations.

Israel is not a real Jewish state. The real Jews are against it because they call it a Zionist state. It is run by the fake Jews of Europe – the Khazarians – who have nothing to do with the original inhabitants of those Middle Eastern countries – the real Palestinians.

 

The dream of ruling the entire world is forcing the Zionist regime to arm itself up to the maximum and invade the neighboring countries. The Devils (US, UK & France) are supporting it politically, financially and militarily. Any country that they see has the potential of becoming militarily strong and does not accept their hegemony, is attacked and destroyed. The Evil Empire uses the same old excuse of nuclear-arms proliferation or the condemned terms of WMD to invade other countries with ‘pre-emptive strikes’. The truth is that the same countries (with a tarnished history) themselves possess nuclear arms and the WMD – Israel being on top.

When it doesn’t go according to the plans of the Evil Empire, it imposes embargoes and sanctions on other countries. China, North Korea, Pakistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Iran, etc., all went through it and suffered heavily under the fake threat of nuclear proliferation. But nothing ever happens to Israel despite nuclear arms possession.

Because the Israeli government refuses to be a party either to the international nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) or the internationally agreed Chemical Weapons or Biological Weapons Conventions (CWC) (BWC), means that unlike the vast majority of UN Member States including America, Britain, China, Russia, France and Germany etc., the state of Israel is uniquely able to mount a nuclear/chemical attack upon any country in the Middle East (or Europe), at any time, without warning.

However, instead of meeting this threat with a national defence planning campaign, the U.K. government exports military equipment to the Netanyahu Likud administration to assist in its potential for regional military domination.

Why? That is a question that must remain unanswered for there is no valid explanation for a British government helping to further arm a potential future enemy that is the only undeclared nuclear state in the world and which already has a fleet of German-built, Dolphin-class submarines armed with nuclear cruise missiles plus its Jericho series of intermediate to intercontinental range ballistic missiles (ICBMs).
The status quo would appear to be both political and military madness.

There can be but one explanation: The powerful influence of the friends of Israel lobby at Westminster – and, of course, that of its sister lobby, AIPAC, in Washington.
And, it is noted here that at least one member of the current British cabinet of Boris Johnson, has been established in the public domain as a known collaborator with the hard-Right, settler-controlled, Netanyahu government.

وَقَالَ نُوحٌ رَّبِّ لاَ تَذَرْ عَلَى ٱلأَرْضِ مِنَ ٱلْكَافِرِينَ دَيَّاراً

إِنَّكَ إِن تَذَرْهُمْ يُضِلُّواْ عِبَادَكَ وَلاَ يَلِدُوۤاْ إِلاَّ فَاجِراً كَفَّاراً
“And Noah, said: ‘O my Lord! Leave not of the

Unbelievers, a single one on earth! For, if You do

leave (any of) them, they will but mislead Your

devotees, and they will breed none but

wicked ungrateful ones.’”

(al-Quran 71:26-27)

Your Faith (Iman) and your Faith (Iman) alone matters, everything else is superficial! Even your family ties and relationship don’t count if you both don’t believe in the same God! This is the law of Allah (God) and there are no (once again NO) exceptions. So much so that Allah didn’t even spare the Prophets and Messengers. The same rule was applied to their families, kith and kin or the household.

Prophet Ibrahim’s (Abraham’s) father was a disbeliever – a pagan, who worshipped idols and did not accept the sovereignty of the One and Only Allah (Islam). Ibrahim tried his best to bring the enlightenment (Allah’s guidance) to him but the stubborn father refused to accept. Eventually, Ibrahim said goodbye to him – the relationship between a father and his son became null and void. The father became the fuel of Hellfire while the son became the lighthouse of Paradise – being the father of three semitic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam).

Prophet Noah faced a similar problem. His son would not listen to him and would not accept the sovereignty of Allah (Islam). Prophet Noah tried his best but the son never listened to him and went astray. Eventually, their relationship came to an end; and this end was announced by the Almighty Allah. Noah saved, with the help of Allah, all the believers while disbelievers (including his own son) were perished in the floods. Prophet Noah, being a father, cried to Allah for mercy and pleaded that his son was his family. In response, Allah said: ‘No, he is NOT of your family because he is of evil conduct’. As a matter of fact, Allah warned Noah in strong words to refrain from such appeals. So, it was his Faith-based conduct that separated the sinner son from the righteous father. One believed in God, the other didn’t.

Here are the two verses of the Quran narrating the situation:

وَنَادَى نُوحٌ رَّبَّهُ فَقَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ ٱبُنِى مِنْ أَهْلِى

وَإِنَّ وَعْدَكَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَأَنتَ أَحْكَمُ ٱلْحَاكِمِينَ

قَالَ يٰنُوحُ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ إِنَّهُ عَمَلٌ غَيْرُ صَالِحٍ

فَلاَ تَسْأَلْنِـى مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ

إِنِّيۤ أَعِظُكَ أَن تَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْجَاهِلِينَ
“And Noah called upon his Lord, and said: ‘O my

Lord! Surely my son is of my family; and Your

promise is true, and You are the most just of Judges!’
He said: ‘O Noah! He is not of your family; for his

conduct is unrighteous. So ask not of Me that

of which you have no knowledge! I give you

counsel, lest you should act like the ignorant!"

(al-Quran 11:45-46)

Prophet Lot (Looth) went through the similar situation. He delivered the message of Allah’s sovereignty (Islam) to his people but he didn’t get any cooperation from his own household (family). He wife went astray. Therefore, when the wrath of Allah fell upon those wicked and sinful people, his own wife was also destroyed along with them by the rain of fire (burning brimstones) from the skies.

There is a very clear message in those examples for the entire mankind:

If you believe in Allah (One God) and obey His Commands, you are a good believer. You will be treated with mercy and blessings; and your family ties remain valid. But if you disobey Allah; or do not believe in His sovereignty and disregard His Commands, you’ll be treated like a wicked person or a disbeliever; and your family ties (between believers and unbelievers or between righteous and unrighteous) would be annulled. The wicked or disbelievers will be punished, if they don’t repent and ask for Allah’s forgiveness.

It does not matter who was your father or grandfather; who was your mother or grandmother; who was your son or daughter! The only thing that matters, is your Faith (Iman) and their Faith (Iman). If they believe in One Allah and His sovereignty, and obey Allah’s commands, they’ll be treated by Allah with mercy, compassion and forgiveness. If not, their relationship to you does not count; and they’ll become fuel of Hellfire, whether you like it or not.

Allah’s Word is final and His laws cannot be changed, no matter what. Nobody is above the law – not even the Prophets or Messengers or their families. You have to be a staunch believer and an obedient servant to Allah to receive His blessings.

Can we learn something from the above stories of the families of the Prophets?

One thing is certain: Your Muslim name or your Muslim parents or your Muslim children cannot benefit from the Muslim names only, or from the Muslim relations, or from the Muslim family ties! Only your (and their) Faith (Iman) counts! If you and they are true believers of One God, and obey Allah’s Commands (practice your Faith), you will be successful. And only the successful will be rewarded with Paradise! The rest is fuel of Hellfire! May Allah guide us all … Amen!
