Allah Talks About
Muhammad (s.a.w.)
 {A chapter from my new book: "The Prophet And His Way (Sunnah)"}

(By: M. Javed Naseem)

James Gavin:
Among leaders who have made the greatest
impact through the ages, I would consider
Muhammed before Jesus Christ.
(From: ‘Speeches by a U.S. Army General’)

Allah prescribed Islam as the ‘Deen’ (the way of life) for the mankind and He chose Muhammad (s.a.w.) as His last Messenger for the entire universe. In this chapter, I am presenting you a few verses from the Holy Quran (from out of hundreds) where Allah, the Almighty, talks about Muhammad (s.a.w.).

“The Prophet's character was termed tremendous
because his concern was for God alone.”
-- Imam Junaid Baghdadi

I would like to mention here a very important element of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.)’s character – his truthfulness. He never told a lie in his entire life. Long before declaring his prophet-hood, he was called “Sadiq” (the Truthful) by the pagans, idol-worshippers and non-believers of Makkah. Even his enemies attested for his truthfulness and never called him a “liar”.
Abu Jahl, who was one of the harshest enemies of Islam, said:
“O Muhammad! I do not say that you are a liar! I only deny what  you brought (Islam) and what you call people to”.
Allah, the Exalted, says:

"We know indeed that what they say certainly
grieves you, but surely they do not call you a liar;
but the unjust deny the verses of God."
(al-Quran 6:33)

“You have indeed in the Messenger of Allah
an excellent pattern (of conduct).”
(al-Quran 33:21)

These are the compliments of Allah! Except for the intro, no commentary or interpretation (or Tafsir) has been added to these verses. It is purely the Word of God (with its English translation) for your consideration.
When Allah says beautiful things about Muhammad (s.a.w.), I am nobody to comment on it or add anything to it. I feel inadequate, insufficient and unworthy to praise him. Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) himself said:

"God has sent me to perfect good manners
and to do good deeds”.
(Sahih Bukhari & Ahmed)

And that statement of the Prophet (s.a.w.) was confirmed by God in the Holy Quran:
"And indeed, you (O Muhammad) are
of a great moral character".
(al-Quran 68:4)

So, please read the following, grasp it, understand it and reflect (or ponder) upon it! And if you act upon it, you are on your way to Paradise, Insha-Allah.

"Say (O Muhammad): Indeed, my prayer, my rites
of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for God,
Lord of the Worlds. No partner has He. And this
I have been commanded and I am the first
(among you) of the Muslims.”
(al-Quran 6:162-163)

“We sent you not, but as a Mercy
for the worlds (all creatures)”.
(al-Quran 21:107)

“O Prophet (Muhammad)! Truly We have sent you as
a Witness, a Bearer of Glad Tidings, and as a Warner”.
(al-Quran 33:45)

“Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet
(Muhammad). O you who believe! Send blessings
on him, and salute him with all respect”.
(al-Quran 33:56)

“And who believe in the Revelation sent to you
(O Muhammad), and sent before your time, and (in
their hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter”.
(al-Quran 2:4)

“Verily, We have sent you (O Muhammad) in truth
as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner. But of you,
no question shall be asked of the companions of the
Blazing Fire (those going to Hell)”.
(al-Quran 2:119)

“Say (O Muhammad): ‘If you do love Allah, follow
me. Allah will love you and forgive you your sins;
for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful’."
(al-Quran 3:31)

“Muhammad is no more than a Messenger.
Many were the messenger that passed away before
him. If he died or were slain, will you then turn back
on your heels? If any did turn back on his heels, not
the least harm will he do to Allah; but Allah (on the
other hand) will swiftly reward those who
(serve Him) with gratitude”.
(al-Quran 3:144)

“Whatever good, (O man!) happens to you, is from
Allah; but whatever evil happens to you, is from your
(own) soul. And We have sent you (O Muhammad)
as a Messenger to (instruct) mankind.
And enough is Allah for a witness”.
(al-Quran 4:79)

“If you (O Muhammad) call them to guidance,
they hear not. You will see them looking
at you, but they see not”.
(al-Quran 7:198)

“Hold (O Muhammad) to forgiveness!
Command what is right! But turn away
from the ignorant!”
(al-Quran 7:199)

“And We have sent you (O Muhammad) only
as a bearer of good tidings and a warner”.
(al-Quran 25:56)

“You have indeed in the Messenger of Allah a
beautiful pattern (of conduct) for any one whose
hope is in Allah and the Final Day, and who
engages much in the praise of Allah”.
(al-Quran 33:21)

“Muhammad is not the father of any man among you,
but (he is) the Messenger of Allah, and the Seal of the
Prophets. And Allah has full knowledge of all things”.
(al-Quran 33:40)

“We have not sent you (O Muhammad) but as a
universal (Messenger) to men, giving them glad
tidings, and warning them (against sin).
But most men understand not”.
(al-Quran 34:28)

“But those who believe and work deeds of
righteousness, and believe in the (Revelation) sent
down to Muhammad - for it is the Truth from their
Lord - He (Allah) will remove from them their ills
and improve their condition”.
(al-Quran 47:2)

“We have truly sent you (O Muhammad)
as a Witness, as a Bringer of Glad Tidings,
and as a Warner”.
(al-Quran 48:8)

“Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; and
those who are with him are strong against Unbelievers,
(but) compassionate amongst each other. You will see
them bow and prostrate themselves (in prayer), seeking
Grace from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure. On their
faces are their marks, (being) the traces of their prostration.
This is their similitude in the Taurat; and their similitude
in the Gospel is like a seed which sends forth its blade,
then makes it strong; it then becomes thick, and it stands
on its own stem, (filling) the sowers with wonder and
delight. As a result, it fills the Unbelievers with rage at
them. Allah has promised those among them who
believe and do righteous deeds forgiveness,
and a great Reward”.
(al-Quran 48:29)
