NO GUIDANCE FOR:

THE LIARS, THE PRODIGAL,
THE UN-BELIEVER, THE UNGRATEFUL,
THE WRONG-DOERS !

I’ll get to the point straight away, with no comments of my own. Here is what Allah says in the Holy Quran:

“Lo ! The worst of beasts in Allah’s
sight are the ungrateful who will
not believe.”
(al-Quran 8:55)

“The prayer of disbelievers goes (far) astray.”
(al-Quran 13:14)

“….. Lo, Allah guides not wrong-doing folk.”
(al-Quran 28:50)

“….. Lo, Allah guides not him who is
a liar, an ingrate.”
(al-Quran 39:3)

“….. Lo, Allah guides not one who is a prodigal, a liar.”
(al-Quran 40:28)

THE GUIDANCE IS FOR
THE MEN OF UNDERSTANDING

“This is a clear message for mankind in order that they may be warned thereby, and that they may know that He is only One God,
and that men of understanding may take heed.”
(al-Quran 14:52)

“(This is) a Scripture that We have Revealed unto you,
full of blessing that they may ponder its revelations,
and that men of understanding may reflect.”
(al-Quran 38:29)

“Nay, but verily this (Quran) is an admonishment.
So let whosoever will pay heed to it.”
(al-Quran 80:11-12)

„This is the path of thy Lord,a straight path. We have detailed our revelations for a people who take heed.‟
(al-Quran 6 :126)

“And Allah’s is the direction of the way, and some (roads)
go not straight …..”
(al-Quran 16:9)

“Lo ! This (Quran) is a Reminder. Let him who will, then,
choose a way unto his Lord.”
(al-Quran 73:19)

“As for those who strive for us, We surely guide them to our paths, and lo, Allah is with the good.”
(al-Quran 29 :69)

“This (Quran) is a declaration for mankind; a guidance and an admonition unto those who ward off (evil).”
(al-Quran 3:138)

WHY SO ?
THINK ABOUT IT !

YOU KNOW THE ANSWERS

“Allah would make the burden light for you,
for man was created weak.” …
(al-Quran 4:28).

PRAYER (‘SALAAT’):
When you don’t offer prayer (Salaat), you look for excuses. You think that you didn’t have time, you were too busy. You are working on your ‘Duniya’. Who’ll work on your ‘Hereafter’? Look on the other side of it! You might have done something wrong that Allah did not like you to stand in front of Him in prayer. Do you believe in “taufeeq illa bi-Allah’? Then try to get it right! Allah is very serious about prayer (Salaat) and commands us to establish it. There are hundreds of verses in the Holy Quran about it. Here is a ‘Dua’ (supplication) of Prophet Abraham:

“O my Lord! make me one who establishes regular prayer,
and also (raise such) among my offspring O our Lord!
and accept You my prayer.”
(al-Quran 14:40)
Allah had instructed Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) to convey to the believers His commands about regular prayer (Salaat):
“Speak to my servants who have believed, that they may
establish regular prayers, and spend (in charity) out of
the sustenance We have given them, secretly and openly,
before the coming of a Day in which there will be
neither mutual bargaining nor befriending.”
(al-Quran 14:31)

“And be steadfast in prayer; practice regular charity; and
bow down your heads with those who bow down (in worship).”
(al-Quran 2:43)

“Guard strictly your (habit of) prayers, especially the Middle Prayer;
and stand before Allah in a devout (frame of mind).”
(al-Quran 2:238)

“O you who believe! Seek help with patient perseverance
and prayer; for Allah is with those who patiently persevere.”
(al-Quran 2:153).

FAITH (‘IMAN’):
If your faith (Iman) is so weak that it cannot make you walk to the mosque for prayer (Salaat), or it does not make you repent for the missing prayers, how can it make you win the Paradise? You are here in this world to prepare for the Hereafter. And you cannot do it without ‘Iman’ or faith.

“Allah is the Protector of those who have faith; from the
depths of darkness He will lead them forth into light.
Of those who reject faith the patrons are the evil ones;
from light they will lead them forth into the depths
of darkness. They will be companions of the fire,
to dwell therein (for ever).”
(al-Quran 2:257)

“Those who reject Faith and keep off (men) from the way
of Allah, have verily strayed far, far away from the Path.
Those who reject Faith and do wrong, Allah will
not forgive them nor guide them to any way –
except the way of Hell, to dwell therein
for ever. And this to Allah is easy.”
(al-Quran 4:167-169)

SUCCESS:
Everybody wants success. We are all trying to succeed in this world and forget about the next. But even in this world, when the caller calls us five times every day with the words: ‘Come to the success’ (‘Hayee-ya al-alfalah’), we ignore him and reject the offer of success. There must be something wrong with us!

“Successful indeed are the believers, who are
humble in their prayers, and who shun vain conversation,
and who are payers of the poor-due,
 and who guard their modesty.”
                (al-Quran 23:1-5)

“And turn unto Allah together, O believers,
in order that you may succeed.”
(al-Quran 24:31)

“Those who establish worship and pay the poor-due
and have sure faith in the Hereafter; such have guidance
from their Lord. Such are the successful”.
(al-Quran 31:4-5).
They are successful because they sincerely obey the Almighty and become His friends.

“Behold! Verily on the friends of Allah
there is no fear, nor shall they grieve.”
(al-Quran 10:62).

FATE/LUCK:
Don’t blame your fate or luck for your failures. We make our own choices in life and our fate or luck is based on those choices. That’s why we are held accountable for our actions in this world. Everybody has to carry his own load.

“On no soul does Allah place a burden
greater than it can bear. It gets every good
that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns. …”
(al-Quran 2:286)
If everything in our lives were pre-determined or pre-destined, Allah and His Prophet (s.a.w.) won’t ask us to invoke Him and pray for His mercy, for solidarity of faith (Iman), knowledge, bounties, provision, peace, happiness, children, success in worldly affairs, protection from evil and Hellfire, forgiveness and for compassion to enter the Paradise, etc., etc. If we can change our situation by turning to God in repentance, begging Him for His mercy and practicing the good deeds, then it is not the fate. It’s us. Yes, us!
Some people may not like this notion as they are strong believers of fate/luck. If everything was pre-destined, we are not guilty then. Accountability makes no sense. Why would then Allah punish us for our evil deeds and reward us for good deeds? I invite you to ponder over the following few verses of the Holy Quran. Allah says:

“Unless he repents, believes, and works righteous deeds,
for Allah will change the evil of such persons into good,
and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
(al-Quran 25:70)
There goes your theory of fate/luck out of the window. It’s your good or bad actions that decide the outcome. Here, again, is the confirmation:

“And whoever repents and does good, has truly
turned to Allah with an (acceptable) conversion.”
(al-Quran 25:71)
If you can convert your misfortune into good fortune through repentance and good deeds, you better stop talking about bad luck. Be practical! Here is another proof:

“Whatever misfortune happens to you, is because
on the things your hands have wrought, and for many
(of them) He grants forgiveness”.
(al-Quran 42:30)
And in this verse of the Quran, Allah clears all doubts about bad luck or misfortune:

“Whatever good, (O man!) happens to you, is from Allah;
but whatever evil happens to you, is from your (own) soul.”
(al-Quran 4:79)
There is a related subject of ‘Qadha’ or ‘Qaza’ and ‘Qadr’ but it is a separate issue, different from the issue of good or bad deeds or the actions we are responsible for.
Muslims (believers in general) have a duty or responsibility to ward off evil and encourage the good deeds for the sake of community. The society, as a whole, benefits from it.

“The Believers, men and women, are protecting friends
of one another: they enjoin what is just, and forbid what is evil:
they observe regular prayers, practice regular charity,
and obey Allah and His Messenger. On them will
Allah pour His mercy; for Allah is Exalted in power, Wise.”
(al-Quran 9:71).
Here is the best ‘Dua’ (supplication) in the Holy Quran that can change lives; and we are commanded to recite it:
“… (Pray:) "Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or
fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that
which You did lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us
a burden greater than we have strength to bear.
Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us.
You are our Protector; Help us against those
who stand against Faith."
(al-Quran 2:286).

ISLAMOPHOBIA

British Priest’s Letter
To A Racist Parliamentarian
of Holland

There are quite a few politicians in Europe who are known for their racist slurs, prejudice and bias against Muslims in particular and immigrants in general. Holland's parliamentarian, Geert Wilders, is well known for his notorious rhetoric. He has become an Islamophobe with plenty of ignorant or racist followers. He is using his rhetoric for political and social gains.
He has made many statements to please the far-right and the influential Zionist lobby. But he is not popular at all with the reasonable and peace-loving Europeans in general.
A British Catholic priest, Rev. Frank Julian Gelli, issued an open letter addressed to Geert Wilders, a couple of years. It's an eye opener. Here is the text:

FATHER FRANK’S RANTS
Rant Number 369.  29 October 2009
Open Letter to Dutch MP Geert Wilders

Dear Mr Wilders,
They say you can only take a horse to the water, you can’t make it drink. But human beings are not horses. Unlike animals, they can be reasoned with.

I offer these few remarks in the faint hope you are amenable to reason.
It is about your recent speech to the Alliance of Patriots in New York. In which you paint an apocalyptic picture of ‘the Islamization of Europe’. You describe some European cities with Muslim neighbourhoods in lurid terms: "It is a world ‘where women walk around in figureless tents...". Their husbands, or slave holders, if you prefer, walk three steps ahead’.

Mr Wilders, I live bang near one of those areas in West London.
I often visit Whitechapel and Edgware Road – parts of our colourful Londonistan - I have never seen a Muslim woman walking behind her husband. Rather, the mothers stroll about in a proud, dignified manner, alongside the men.
Nothing in their behaviour suggests a subordinate role, let alone slavery. And there are tons of lively, even feisty Muslim girls wearing all sorts of gear.
True, they may not, as a rule, behave like permissive, liberated females, baring the flesh, hugging and kissing partners in public, no.

I would even guess most of them don’t sleep with boys before marriage. But since when are chastity, modesty and self-restraint so bad? The traditional, Christian mores of the Western civilisation which you claim to uphold used to prize such things, no?

"25 per cent of the population of Europe will be Muslim just 12 years from now".

Lies, damned lies and statistics, someone said..
But if you want native Europeans to stay numerically supreme, how about encouraging them to have more children? To urge them not to use contraceptives, the pills? To give up abortion? To bolster family values?

Stop bashing Islam.
Embrace the Christian religion in its conservative, sound traditions and all will be kosher.
"Thousands of mosques across Europe, with larger congregations than churches", you notice. Well, whose fault is that?
Do perhaps Muslims stand at church doors, stopping the eager faithful from worshipping the Lord?
Me thinks you should rather address yourself to Christians. ‘Look at Muslims’ you should say. ‘Look at how many regularly pray. How keen they are on the observances of their religion. You should do the same.’ Exactly.
The flourishing of mosques across Europe should serve as a stimulus to Christians.
A window of opportunity.

As an urgent reminder to get back to their vital, life-giving roots – the worship of the One True God. Why blame pious Muslims for the faults of lukewarm or nominal Christians, eh?

In Amsterdam "gays are beaten up almost exclusively by Muslims".
Awful, if true.
Funnily enough, I recall the words of Pym Fortuyn, the gay right-wing politician murdered by a fanatic. "I have nothing against Moroccans – I have slept with so many of them".

"The history of the Holocaust can no longer be taught because of Muslim sensitivity".
How bizarre. First, a godson of mine has been to Auschwitz, on a school trip. Part of a programme to learn about wartime horrors. School curricula in Britain do in fact include projects about WWII and persecutions of Jews and other people.
London’s Imperial War Museum has a holocaust section, which I viewed just the other day. What’s more, TV channels force-feed viewers with a daily, obsessive dose of films and programmes about the war and Germany’s crimes.
If anybody should complain about this state of affairs, it should be Germans. It fuels Germanophobia, the lurking, masochistic English vice. Do today’s Germans deserve such constant pilloring? After all, isn’t Germany amongst the strongest supporters of your beloved state of Israel?

The Prophet Muhammad.

Had he been "a man of peace...like Gandhi and Mother Teresa wrapped in one, there would be no problem. But Mohammed was...".  I won’t quote the rest, as it would be distasteful.

Muhammad certainly did not found a religion like the Quakers, no. And he is definitely different from figures like Buddha and Jesus. However, why you did not compare him to a prophet and lawgiver like Moses?
Muhammad had the Jewish tribes of Banu Qurayza slaughtered, you write. Well, Exodus 32:25 has Moses ordering the Levites to slay those who had worshipped the Golden Calf, about 3000 men. ‘Today you have ordained yourselves for the service of the Lord’, Moses told the slayers. Hardly like Gandhi, would you agree?

You are silent about Moses, I suspect, because in your speech you wrapped yourself in the mantle of defender of Israel.
Mr Wilders, this Anglican priest is opposed to the destruction of the state of Israel. Because I am a Christian, Jews are rather important to me.

I support both a Jewish state and a Palestinian state.
A modest-sized Jewish Vatican in the Holy Land is the realistic solution.
Bernard Wasserstein’s thoughtful book, ‘Israel & Palestine’, points the way. Wasserstein shows how your fantasy of Israel as a heroic outpost of the West against the incoming Jihad is nonsense.
Indeed, Israeli society today needs immigrants as much as Europe does. And they won’t be Jewish immigrants.
Despite your astonishing garbage about rising anti-Semitism in France (headed by a Jewish President!), Jews worldwide are happy where they are - they not migrating to Israel – or should I say ‘ Isra-hell’ , as my Israeli friend Ronen once wrote?

Ok, you don’t like Muslims.
Yet they are not going to go away.

Your case is analogous to that of the man whose garden was infested by ladybirds. They were everywhere. He didn’t like them. He tried several methods to get rid of them. Sprays, insecticides, this and that. Nothing worked.
The ladybirds kept being around. Indeed, they multiplied. The guy was getting obsessed with them, growing paranoid, bitter, haunted.
Eventually, he sent an e-mail to a wise old friend, an experienced gardener: ‘What should I do about the damned ladybirds?’

The reply came: ‘I suggest you learn to love them’.

PEARLS OF WISDOM

SINCERE PIECES OF ADVICE
THAT COME FROM THE HEART

(By: M. Javed Naseem)

A KIND WORD
Speak gently and treat people nicely. Be kind to others and they’ll be kind to you.
“A kind word with forgiveness is better than alms-giving followed by injury.
Allah is Absolute, Clement.”… (al-Quran 2:263).

THANK ALLAH
Every breath is a gift from God. Be grateful to the Creator Whose blessings and favours you cannot count.
“And if you would count the favours of Allah, you cannot reckon them.  Lo, Allah is indeed Forgiving, Merciful.” … (al-Quran 16:18).

BE HUMBLE AND MODEST
Be humble and down to earth. A branch of tree bearing fruit bends down. Arrogance is cursed. Learn humility. Allah says:
“And walk not in the earth exultant. Lo, you cannot rend the earth, nor can you stretch to the   heights of   the hills.” … (al-Quran 17:37).

HELP OTHERS
Be always ready to give service. What we do for others counts most in life. You do something for somebody today and somebody will do something for you tomorrow. It is tit for tat. Allah says:
“Therefore remember me, I will  remember you. Give thanks to Me, and reject not Me.”…
(al-Quran 2:152).

GIVE AWAY ‘SMILES’
If you see someone without a smile, give him/her one of yours. The magic about the smile is that when you give it to others, you don’t lose yours. It’s “sadakah” (charity), meaning you’ll get reward from Allah for that. And you know that smiling faces look beautiful too!

SMILE NOW. SAY: CHEESE.
Say: Cheese! Put a smile on your face now! It is “sadakah” (charity) and you will get reward for that from Allah. Why worry and have wrinkles when you can smile and have dimples? People would like you.

GESTURES ARE POWERFUL
Do not under-estimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring – all of which have the potential to turn a life around. And it’s all “sadakah” (charity) that’ll bring you reward in the Hereafter.

PEOPLE’S PERSON
Become a “people’s person”. Be genuinely interested in people. If you try, you can like everybody and everybody will like you. It helps in fulfilling the obligations of “Haqooq-ul-Ibaad” (people’s rights). And again, you will get reward for that in the Hereafter. Remember what Allah says:
“Lo, Allah loves not such as are proud and boastful.” --- (al-Quran 4:36).

ADDRESS PEOPLE
Address people  by  name  as  it  pleases  them.  The sweetest music to anyone’s ears is the sound of his/her own name. Allah loves to be called by the best of names and the same goes for His masterpiece Creation. And you’ll get reward for that in the Hereafter.

SHOW UNDERSTANDING
Learn to understand first and to be understood second. It helps in developing tolerance and mutual understanding. Allah loves those who love His creation. This is a great quality of “akhlaaq-i-Islami” that will bring you reward in the Hereafter.

KEEP THINKING POSITIVE
Allah has blessed humans with intelligence. Keep thinking positive.
Life ends when you stop thinking.
Hope ends when you stop believing.
Love ends when you stop caring. And
Friendship ends   when you stop sharing.
Positive thinking, believing, caring and  sharing are all parts of the character  of  a  Muslim; and will  also bring  you  reward  in  the Hereafter.

LEARN YOUR LESSON
Every adversity, every situation, every issue, every pain and every crisis has a positive side. Find it and bring it to life. There is a lesson for us in each one of them and that should be considered a blessing. Remember, every dark cloud has a silver lining. Put your trust in Allah. He says:
“Allah would make the burden light for you, for man was created weak.” …
(al-Quran 4:28).

FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS
Believe in your dreams. Every great success started with a small dream. When you find a dream inside you, don’t ever let it go; for dreams are the tiny seeds from which the big beautiful tomorrows grow, provided you nourish them with sincerity, hard-work and honesty of purpose.

LIVE A SIMPLE LIFE
Live a modest and simple life.  There is beauty in simplicity.  A simple lifestyle will save you lots of troubles and will bring you contentment and happiness. Allah commands us in the Holy Quran:
“Be modest in your bearing and subdue your voice. Lo, the harshest of all voices is the voice of the donkey”. … (al-Quran 31:19).

DON’T BE MAD, BE GLAD!
Be happy. Be glad and don’t be mad! I used to say that it is easy to be mad and hard to be glad. But one Darvish corrected me and said: It’s hard to  be  mad  and  it’s  easy  to  be  glad. Try to understand that.  Don’t be cruel to yourself. Try to be happy. Live without stress. That’s the best recipe for a healthy body and a healthy mind.

TAKE IT EASY
Don’t rush.  Take your time and do a good job.  Easy does it.  Rushing is Devil’s quality. Haste creates waste. Most of the things done in a hurry are not quality and need to be redone. When you are rushing, you are risking everything, even your life.

LIVE IN TRUTH
Live in truth and with truth. Truth is divine and will always lead you out of misery. It saves you from troubles. Honesty is the best policy, we all know that. One truth can save you many lies. The Bible says: The Truth shall set you free”. In the Holy Quran, Allah says:
“Confound not truth with falsehood, nor knowingly conceal the truth.” -- (al-Quran 2:42).
“And say: Truth has come and falsehood has vanished away. Lo, falsehood is ever bound to vanish.” – (al-Quran 17:81).

BE HUMANE
Be humane and treat others the way you want to be treated. Remember! Everything you do to others will come back to you one day. Win others with good deeds. Allah says:
“Allah loves those whose deeds are good”. – (al-Quran 3:148).

Thanks for your time. May the rest of the day be the best of your day! Have a nice evening and remember me in your prayers, please. God bless you … Ameen!
