Despite all the vibrant colors of the universe, our life has been created in black and white. Black means the darkness of ignorance (Jahalat) and White means the light of education, knowledge and awareness. The Almighty Supreme Creator sent to the nations of the world in every era His Messengers and Prophets to guide the mankind – to lead the mankind from the darkness of ignorance to the light of knowledge (education). On the other hands, there are forces of evil which are destined for Hellfire and these forces like very much to lead us astray and carry as many of humans (us) as possible along with them to Hell.

This world is like a playground where a match is being played between two teams: Good and Evil. But there is one exception. In a sports match, the spectators watch but in the match between Good and Evil, spectators also participate. They can join either club – the Good or the Evil, and support their favorite team. Allah has clearly guided us via Scriptures and Messengers/Prophets about the two teams and has also warned us not to join/support the Evil club otherwise we will be punished. But do we pay heed to such warnings?

“Allah is the Protector of those who have

faith: from the depths of darkness He will

lead them forth into light. Of those who

reject faith the patrons are the evil ones:

From light they will lead them forth into

the depths of darkness. They will be

companions of the Fire, to dwell

therein (for ever).“

(al-Quran 2:257)

The most exciting thing about this game is that we can switch sides, as many times as we like, for the duration of the match. The only thing required is the repentance. We can tell God, ‘we are sorry, we made a bad choice. Now we want to join the opposite team, please God, accept it from us.’ And the Merciful God accepts it – no questions asked. He even forgives our past mistakes. Now, that’s some advantage! But, despite of this great advantage, if we still lose the game, it would be the most unfortunate thing. We can blame it on ourselves only. There must be something wrong with our heads that we could not see things in black and white. His clear signs are always around us.

”He is the One Who sends to His servant

manifest signs, that He may lead you from the

depths of darkness into the Light and verily

Allah is to you most kind and Merciful.”

(al-Quran 57:9)

Today, we are killing other human beings in the name of religion; in the name of peace; and civil rights. No true religion of God permits you to kill another human being unless you were attacked and the enemy wanted to kill you – in other words, in self-defense. Human life is sacred and must be preserved. We are knowingly hurting others; damaging their properties; and destroying the means of their livelihood. That’s inhumane. It’s the ignorance and lack of religious education that’s leading us to sectarianism, racism, discrimination, nationalism and eventually to brutal killing of other people.

We claim to be the followers of the Holy Books but we ignore the teachings and the message of those Holy Books. Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) said in his last sermon of Hajj at Makkah:

"O You people! Allah says: 'O people! We created you from one male and one female and made you into tribes and nations, so as to be known to one another.' Verily, in the sight of Allah, the most honored among you is the one who is most pious (God-fearing). There is no superiority for an Arab over a non-Arab and for a non-Arab over an Arab; nor for the white over the black, nor for the black over the white, except in righteousness (God-consciousness)."

“All mankind is the progeny of Adam and Adam was fashioned out of clay. Behold! Every claim of privilege, whether that of blood or property, is under my heels except that of the custody of the Kaabah and supplying of water to the pilgrims”.

“O people! Verily your blood, your property and your honor are sacred and inviolable until you appear before your Lord, as the sacred inviolability of this day of yours, this month of yours and this very town (of yours). Verily, you will soon meet your Lord and you will be held answerable for your actions”.

“Beware! No one committing a crime is responsible for it but himself. Neither the child is responsible for the crime of his father, nor the father is responsible for the crime of his child”.

“Nothing of his brother is lawful for a Muslim except what he himself gives willingly. So do not wrong yourselves”.

“And beware of transgressing the limits set in the matters of religion, for it is transgression of (the proper bounds of) religion that brought destruction to many people before you”.

“Verily, I have left amongst you that which will

never lead you astray, the Book of Allah, which

if you hold fast, you shall never go astray”.

Today, we ignore the teachings of our Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) just like the nations before our time ignored the teachings of their Prophets or Messengers. But they were punished and we should learn a lesson from their fate. Allah, the Most Merciful, has sent us guidance in the form of a Book called the 'Quran'.

ذٰلِكَ ٱلْكِتَابُ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيهِ هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
“This is the Book; in it is guidance sure,

without doubt, to those who fear Allah.”

(al-Quran 2:2)

أَفَلاَ يَتَدَبَّرُونَ ٱلْقُرْآنَ أَمْ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبٍ أَقْفَالُهَآ
“Do they not then earnestly seek to understand

the Quran, or are their hearts locked up by them?”

(al-Quran 47:24)

 

يٰأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ قَدْ جَآءَتْكُمْ مَّوْعِظَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ

وَشِفَآءٌ لِّمَا فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
“O mankind! There has come to you a direction

from your Lord and a healing for the (diseases)

in your hearts, and for those who believe,

a Guidance and a Mercy.”

(al-Quran 10:57)

We claim to be Muslims – the proud followers of Islam – but in real life we are far from Islam. We claim to love Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) but we ignore his teachings and commands. We claim to be the servants of Allah but we violate all rules and laws that Allah has prescribed for us in this world. This is the real blasphemy! But we accuse others of blasphemy and punish them. We don’t look into the mirror to figure out where we stand with Islam. We bring bad name to Islam while at the same time the non-Muslims are appreciating the principles of Islam.

We need to fight the ignorance (Jahalat) and hypocrisy (Munafiqat) prevailing among us so that we could regain our respectable place among the nations of the world. Years are passing by and the nations of the world are still watching while the the game of death & destruction is being played by the Zionist Evl Empire (Dajjal's regime) in different parts of the world. For the poor Palestinians, Syrians, Libyans, Kashmiris, Iraqis, Sudanese and Yemenis, the plight continues. Injustice, oppression, aggression, bloodshed, murder of innocent children and women continues as a routine; even the ceasefire is broken everyday despite agreements. There is no end to their misery in sight. The world, the so-called ‘civilized’ world, has become a silent spectator to the apartheid, the injustice and the inhuman treatment of the Muslims in their own countries by the Zionists. This is the campaign of hegemony of the world!

The so-called ‘champions’ of human rights are violating human rights of weaker nations; and the champions of democracy are trampling the democratic values by using their veto power to suppress the voice of the majority. Democracy has become the ‘might is right’! What a shameless hypocrisy! You deny the majority of the people of the world their rights and claim to be exercising your own democratic right? What a joke!

Man has become an evil beast. Greed turns him into a monster and he loses sense of logic, reason, dignity and justice. He wants to serve his own interest, no matter what. But there is always an end to everything. Anything that goes up, comes down. That’s the law of Nature. History of the world tells us that when Man is unable to thwart evil and deliver justice to the victims of aggression and oppression, God intervenes and delivers justice. The helpless poor victims of Palestine, Syria, Libya, Iraq, Kashmir, Somalia, Yemen and Africa are all waiting for that now. And it can come anytime! Insha-Allah.

The poor helpless victims of the weaker nations can’t do much against the oppression and aggression of the rich and powerful. Their own leaders sold them out. They are told to be patient, therefore, they are waiting patiently. The powerful nations are deceiving the world, even their own allies, and keep pursuing the evil agenda. The nations that have the means and ability to stand up to the Evil Empire (if they get united), are still scared and don't want to start the Third World War. How things would change, no one knows. People talk only and do nothing. But there’s hope and everybody is clinging to it. 

The pious and the righteous tell us that this is a big trial for the righteous and we have to pass through it with patience and prayer. The real life – the permanent life – is in the Hereafter. This worldly life is a temporary game show. It is easy to believe but very hard and difficult to endure! Muslims can get the consolation from the Quran:

“Say: Short is the enjoyment of this world.

The Hereafter is the best for those who do

right. Never will you be dealt with unjustly

in the very least!”

(al-Quran 4:77)

The tyrants, the aggressors and the oppressors don’t care about the Torah, the Bible or the Quran. They don’t even fear God because God allowed them for a very long time to continue their evil works. Some of them don’t even believe that they are doing something wrong. But God gave them a long leash – enough time to change their ways, repent and rectify the situation by bringing justice and peace back into people’s lives. 

If the tyrants and oppressors of mankind don't budge, God knows well how to bend them, even break them. The arrogant should know the history of the earlier nations that were destroyed because they resorted to evil-doing and did not repent. Today, the world leaders don't seem to be God-conscious. They don't fear Allah and don't remember that one day they would be standing before God and answering questions. On that day, the justice will be delivered and the evil-doers will face the Fire. Here's the promise of Allah:

“So, by your Lord, without doubt, We shall

assemble them together, and (also) the Evil Ones

(the Devils); then shall We bring them forth on

their knees round about Hell. Then shall We

certainly drag out from every sect all those

who were worst in obstinate rebellion against

(Allah), the Most Gracious. And certainly

We know best those who are most worthy

of being burned therein.”

(al-Quran 19:68-70)

The trouble-makers are under the strong influence of the Devil. But they don’t realize that one day, the Devil is going to abandon them and they’ll have to face the music alone. The Devil (Shaitan) was once close to God and used to hang out with angels in the Heaven. He knows very well the justice system of the Divine. Therefore, he’ll keep himself clear of any responsibility for misleading or misguiding human beings. He would say: ‘I didn’t force you to do evil. I just talked but you did the actions. You made your own choices!’ Can you imagine that Devil fears God and acknowledges His severe punishment but we humans don’t!

“And (remember) when Shaitan (Satan) made

their (evil) deeds seem fair to them and said,

"No one of mankind can overcome you this Day

(of the battle of Badr) and verily, I am near to

you." But when the two forces came in sight

of each other, he ran away and said "Verily,

I have nothing to do with you. Verily! I see

what you see not. Lo! I fear Allah for

Allah is Severe in punishment."

(al-Quran 8:48)

 

We have brought the world by our inaction or evil deeds, where it is today – to the lowest ebb. Those who were clever with manipulative minds, took advantage of us. They used us to their benefit. Now, we are crying foul but there’s no referee to blow the whistle and stop the game. Those who are conducting the game, are already bought up. So, let us suffer the consequences of our ‘inaction’ patiently and pray to God, because when there was time for action, we did nothing. We were busy accumulating wealth, enjoying dance, music and getting laid. Now, we are reaping the harvest and crying! It’s better to cry before God as only HE can deliver us! We have already closed all doors. Only His door remains open 24/7. So, keep knocking! One day it’ll open, Insha-Allah! We only hope that it opens soon enough!

Our Creator, the Almighty Allah, says that when we say by mouth that ‘we believe’ or ‘we hear and we obey’, it’s not good enough. We need to prove it. You’ll be tried and tested so that you could prove what you claim. If you are steadfast and patiently persevere, you are successful. That’s the real Faith (Iman). In this context, I would like to bring to your attention a few verses from Surah An-Noor (The Light) of the Holy Quran.

وَيِقُولُونَ آمَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَبِٱلرَّسُولِ وَأَطَعْنَا ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّىٰ

فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُمْ مِّن بَعْدِ ذٰلِكَ وَمَآ أُوْلَـٰئِكَ بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
They say: ‘We believe in Allah and in the

Messenger, and we obey’. But even after that, some

of them turn away. They are not (really) Believers.

(al-Quran 24:47)

That’s typical of us today. We can say or claim anything, even under oath, and in reality we do everything contrary to that. We don’t have the character to support our claims with our actions. This disparity between the word and action is called hypocrisy (Munafiqat). And when we become hypocrites, we don’t belong to the community of ‘Believers’ any more. The above verse from the Quran tells us that Allah does not accept us as Believers if we turn away from obeying Allah and the Prophet (s.a.w.). So, do we qualify for Allah’s help after that?

وَإِذَا دُعُوۤاْ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَهُمْ إِذَا فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُمْ

مُّعْرِضُون وَإِن يَكُنْ لَّهُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ يَأْتُوۤاْ إِلَيْهِ مُذْعِنِينَ َ
When they are summoned to Allah and

His messenger, in order that He may judge

between them, behold some of them decline

(to come). But if the right is on their side,

they come to him with all submission.”

(al-Quran 24:48-49)

Today, we are ruled by liars and hypocrites. Might is right. The evil tyrants are controlling the world bringing death and destruction to common people. Any group of people, any sect, any clan, any army, any community or any country that claims to be ‘super’ or the ‘strongest’ and brings misery to other human beings through warfare, conspiracies, bloodshed and diseases, is actually digging its own grave. It’s only a matter of time that their prime noon would transform into grim night of endless darkness. The history of Nimrod, Pharaoh and all past empires is witness to it.

We are all human beings and we have been created weak with limits. It’s only logical and reasonable that we respect those bounds and stay within our limits. Otherwise, we would be spreading evil, injustice and corruption; and committing transgression (Fitnah) in the earth. We are strictly forbidden to do that and are warned of the grave consequences thereof. Allah the Almighty gives the evildoers time to repent and change their ways. He does not allow injustice, genocide and tyranny in the world.

لاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مُعْجِزِينَ فِى

ٱلأَرْضِ وَمَأْوَاهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَلَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ
Never think that the Unbelievers are going to

frustrate (Allah's Plan) on earth. Their abode is

the Fire – and it is indeed an evil refuge!”

(al-Quran 24:57)

We live in the age of ‘consumerism’ and everything is commercialized revolving around money. People even make money from religion. Very few people take it seriously enough to seek moral and spiritual guidance. Many Mullahs and so-called scholars use it for material gains and comfortable living. The result is that their teachings have no bearing. If your actions don’t support and confirm your verbal claims (or speeches), you are a hypocrite (Munafiq). Apply the teachings on your life first before preaching them to others. Once your character shows what you claim (or speak) you don’t need to preach any more. Your character, your behavior and your conduct does it for you.

It’s very easy to claim that we believe in Allah (or God), because, generally, we think that this belief is hidden and nobody is aware of it unless we announce it. That’s a very clever act of belief. It’s political. In fact, belief is what you show with your actions (or conduct). Belief is what you stand for; what you live for and what you can die for. Let me make it very plain and simple. Belief is when you obey Allah and His Prophet (s.a.w.) by following their commands. The Prophet (s.a.w.) did not preach anything on his own. He rather preached what Allah taught him through the Quran; through His commands and through Gabriel who explained the Quran to him. In other words, the Prophet (s.a.w.) not only preached the Quran, but he also practiced it his entire life. He lived by the Quran and so should we as Muslims.

وَلَقَدْ أَنْزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكُمْ آيَاتٍ مُّبَيِّنَاتٍ وَمَثَلاً مِّنَ

ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوْاْ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَمَوْعِظَةً لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
We have already sent down to you verses making

things clear, an illustration from (the story of) people

who passed away before you, and an admonition

for those who fear (Allah).”

(al-Quran 24:34)

لَّقَدْ أَنزَلْنَآ آيَاتٍ مُّبَيِّنَاتٍ وَٱللَّهُ يَهْدِى

مَن يَشَآءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
We have indeed sent down signs that make

things manifest; and Allah guides those who

seek it to a way that is straight.”

(al-Quran 24:46)

All the troubles and problem we Muslims are facing in this world today, point out that we are a people astray. We ignore the signs of Allah. We have deviated from the ‘right path’ detailed for us by God. We believe in Allah and Islam in theory only. In practice we do the contrary violating all rules and defying all commands. In the Middle East and Europe, Muslims say that there are two types of Muslims: Believers and Practitioners. Excuse me? If you don’t practice what you believe, you are a hypocrite. There is only one definition of Muslim: The one who practices Islam is a Muslim. Simple as that! Then there is a philosophical definition of a Muslim: The one who surrenders or submits to the Will of Allah (meaning: obeying Allah; living for Allah; and dying for Allah).

إِنَّمَا كَانَ قَوْلَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِذَا دُعُوۤاْ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ لِيَحْكُمَ

بَيْنَهُمْ أَن يَقُولُواْ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا وَأُوْلَـٰئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ
The answer of the Believers, when summoned

to Allah and His Messenger, in order that He may

judge between them, is no other than this: They

say, "We hear and we obey". It is such as these

(people) that will attain felicity.”

(al-Quran 24:51)

وَمَن يُطِعِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَيَخْشَ ٱللَّهَ وَيَتَّقْهِ فَأُوْلَـٰئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَآئِزُون

“It is those who obey Allah and His Messenger, and

fear Allah and do right, that will win (in the end).”

(al-Quran 24:52)

Only obedience to Allah guarantees the peaceful and happy life in this world and great rewards in the Hereafter. If we live by Allah’s commands (by His Book – the Quran) He would be pleased with us and grant us the authority in the world. If we disobey Him, we would be humiliated by other nations and would live like their slaves. In other words, Islam is the guarantee of our welfare and success. Here’s what Allah says in the Quran:

“Allah has promised, to those among you who

believe and work righteous deeds, that He will,

of a surety, grant them in the land, inheritance

(of power), as He granted it to those before them;

that He will establish in authority their religion –

the one which He has chosen for them; and that

He will change (their state), after the fear in

which they (lived), to one of security and peace.

'They will worship Me (alone) and not associate

aught with Me. If any do reject Faith after this,

they are rebellious and wicked.”

(al-Quran 24:55)

The rebellion and wickedness are actually signs of disobedience to Allah. Sometimes we commit a sin or a crime and don’t want to admit it. So, we look for ways and means to rationalize our action – in other words to justify it. Spiritually, that’s a disease of the heart. That’s wickedness and puts us together with the Unbelievers. Allah does not accept the good deeds of the Unbelievers for the Hereafter. They are rewarded for those deeds here in this world only.

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوۤاْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ كَسَرَابٍ بِقِيعَةٍ يَحْسَبُهُ ٱلظَّمْآنُ

مَآءً حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَآءَهُ لَمْ يَجِدْهُ شَيْئاً وَوَجَدَ ٱللَّهَ

عِندَهُ فَوَفَّاهُ حِسَابَهُ وَٱللَّهُ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ
But the Unbelievers – their deeds are like a

mirage in sandy deserts, which the man parched

with thirst mistakes for water; until when he comes

up to it, he finds it to be nothing: But he finds

Allah (ever) with him, and Allah will pay him his

account. And Allah is swift in taking account.

(al-Quran 24:39)

 

أَفِى قُلُوبِهِمْ مَّرَضٌ أَمِ ٱرْتَابُوۤاْ أَمْ يَخَافُونَ أَن يَحِيفَ ٱللَّهُ

عَلَيْهِمْ وَرَسُولُهُ بَلْ أُوْلَـٰئِكَ هُمُ ٱلظَّالِمُونَ
Is it that there is a disease in their hearts? Or

do they doubt, or are they in fear that Allah and

His Messenger will deal unjustly with them?

Nay, it is they themselves who do wrong.”

(al-Quran 24:50)

Doing business with Allah

guarantees win-win situation

and no losses!

Allah is the Supreme Creator and we (humans) are His marvelous creation. Some say, 'He is the Father and we are His children'; while the others say, 'He is the Master and we are His slaves'. Both groups mean the same. Allah is the Supreme controller Who is running this universe and we are His subjects, created to worship Him and sing His praise. If He is pleased with us, He'll reward us with Paradise; but if He is not pleased because of our disobedience, He'll punish us with Hellfire. And He has made it clear in all Scriptures and Holy Books. He expects obedience and righteousness from His subjects or slaves.

'Allah has indeed purchased from the believers

their lives and wealth in exchange for Paradise.

They fight in the cause of Allah and kill or are

killed. This is a true promise binding on Him

in the Torah, the Gospel, and the Quran. And

whose promise is truer than Allah’s? So rejoice

in the exchange you have made with Him.

That is ˹truly˺ the ultimate triumph.'

(al-Quran 9:111)

A saint once said: 'When all business fails, do business with Allah!' That's the business which never fails and never runs into losses. As a matter of fact, that is the business which guarantees profits and no losses at all. Spend in the way of Allah and you'll reap multiple rewards. What is 'doing business with Allah'? The answer in plain words is: Doing everything for Allah. In other words, you are living and dying for Allah. You seek only His pleasure, His guidance, His help and His approval. Nothing else matters. Allah commands us in the Quran:

“Say, 'Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice,

my living and my dying are (all) for Allah,

the Lord of the worlds.'”

(al-Quran 6:162)

When we do that, we can have anything we wish for, because Allah is pleased with us and He can do all things. As obedient servants to Allah, we should be working hard to secure the good life of the Hereafter using all the facilities and tools available to us in this material but temporary world. In this world, we are just like waiting in the transit lounge. We have limited time but still it is enough to work successfully on our Hereafter.

We can use all our resources and talents to accumulate as much rewards for the Hereafter as possible. This world is like an open field for us and it is up to us how we play the game. Material success in this world (becoming wealthy and living luxurious life) is not important. We can amass rewards for our good deeds even when we are financially poor. Even a very little amount spent in the way of Allah can bring us tremendous rewards.

“The example of those who spend their wealth

in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain]

which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a

a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies (His

reward) for whom He wills. And Allah is

all-Encompassing and Knowing.”

(al-Quran 2:261)

Spending in the way of Allah (to please Him and help the needy humans) is charity and charity is the best way to wash out our sins. It brings us multiple rewards (mininum of 10-fold), the maximum of which has no limits. Allah says:

“And whoever believes in Allah and does

righteousness - He will remove from him his

misdeeds and admit him to gardens beneath

which rivers flow, wherein they will abide

forever. That is the great achievement.”

(al-Quran 64:9)

Abdullah bin Jaafer was once travelling and passing through a jungle. He saw a black slave working in a garden near the fields. The owner of the garden had sent food for the slave who took his lunch break and was ready to eat. At the same time a dog also entered the garden and stood by the slave. The slave opened the pack and found three loafs of breads inside. He threw one loaf of bread in front of the dog and got back to his work. The dog ate the bread but did not go away. The slave then gave the dog another loaf of bread and watched him eating. The slave had only one loaf of bread left for himself but the dog would not move. Therefore, he gave the dog the third and the last loaf of bread too.

During all that time, Abdullah bin Jaafer had been watching the slave and the dog. When the dog finished, Abdullah asked the slave how many loafs of breads he used to get everyday? The slave replied that he got three loafs of breads daily.

'Then why did you give all three to the dog? There's nothing left for you now.'

The slave answered that there were no dogs in that area. 'That poor hungry dog must have come from far away. I did not feel like sending it away without food.'

Abdullah bin Jaafer asked him what would he eat then? The slave said that he could survive for one day without food. It was not a big deal.

Abdullah bin Jaafer said to himself: 'O Abdullah! You consider yourself generous but this slave is a lot more generous than you.'

Thinking about the slave, he went back to town and started looking for the owner of that garden. Eventually, he bought the garden and the slave from his owner. He freed the slave and gave him the garden as a gift.

Now, that was some bargain to please Allah! So, if you are a smart businessman, do business with Allah. In this business there is only profit to make; there are no losses. 

Spend in the name of Allah and take care of your fellow human beings. In return, Allah will take care of you. This is the best bargain. Everything else is superficial.

'And purchase not a small gain at the price

of Allah's Covenant. Lo, that which Allah

has, is better for you, if you did but know.'

(al-Quran 16 :95)
