AUTHORITY/POWER MEANS RESPONSIBILITY. Abuse Will Be Questioned.

Power or Authority

Means Responsibility

Abuse of Power Will Be Questioned

On The Judgment Day!

(M. Javed Naseem)

“Whoso desires power, (should know

that) all power belongs to Allah.”

(al-Quran 35:10)

Man is greedy for power, money and fame. Any one of these three elements can turn his head and he can become an arrogant person. The Almighty Allah does not like arrogance. When you become powerful, by grace of God, don’t let the power go through your head. It might prove more harmful than beneficial. Money and power (authority) can solve most of the problems the mankind is facing today. But at the same time, if these two are not rightly controlled or directed through proper channels, they can create havoc in the world.

It is difficult to separate money from authority. Money is power and so is the authority. All power is evil (fitna) if it is not used for the benefit and welfare of mankind. In this age, it is the power that is creating all kinds of social, economic and political problems for mankind. Humans are known for the abuse of power. They cannot handle it. Power should be used to enforce justice, and eradicate inequality and injustice. But in this world what we see today is that power is being used to control others; to crush the opposition; to get the maximum material benefits; and to escape from justice. This is corruption. Power should be taken from the hands of the corrupt and given to the honest and God-fearing. That will make the world an ideal place. The mankind has been warned by the Almighty about arrogance and authority:

“And walk not in the earth exultant!

Lo! You cannot rend the earth, nor can

you stretch to the height of the hills.

The evil of all that is hateful in the

sight of thy Lord.”

(al-Quran 17:37-38)

Power is a Godly quality and only God can use it justly. Human beings, when given power, often try to play God and end up doing injustice to the fellow humans. They cannot resist the temptation, therefore, the corruption prevails. Most people would become tyrants with power. Power is responsibility and it should be used for the service to humanity. A ruler/governor who enjoys power, is actually given responsibility to serve his people. A ruler is a servant of Allah and he should serve His people; take care of them, solve their problems and promote peace and justice in the society. But the modern day ruler, on the contrary, considers himself as “king” of the people and takes people as his servants. He likes it very much when people gather in rows for his reception, bow in front of him and kiss his hand or ass.

Most of the times, the bad rulers get ignorant cronies around them who are even worse than the rulers. They cross all limits to please the rulers and at the same time benefit from their position by exploitation and manipulation. Many a time the rulers are not aware of what their cronies are doing, but they are still responsible for their corruption and evil deeds.

On the Day of Judgment, all rulers would be asked questions about their people. A ruler must be a humble and God-fearing servant of people, and not an arrogant tyrant. He is responsible for social justice, equality, peace and prosperity of his nation. He is not allowed to take people’s money or property. He is answerable to God for the sufferings of his people (due to injustice), during his tenure. Allah commands:

“Lo, Allah commands you that you restore

deposits to their owners, and if you judge

between mankind, that you judge justly.”

(al-Quran 4:58)

The problem with us, Muslims, is that we don’t fear Allah. We don’t think that we are going to die sooner or later. We don’t think about the Day of Judgment and answering questions in front of Allah. We have become hypocrites (Munafiq) as we say one thing and we do something else. We lie to others every day and we don’t consider it a sin or something immoral. It is accepted as normal behavior in the society. We read the Holy Quran and still we don’t get the message! We read about other nations and generations that were destroyed because of their sins and evil-doing but we don’t learn any lesson from the Quran, nor from the history of the nations. We know that it happened to other nations but we think it is not going to happen to us. Why not? Allah says:

“How many a township have We destroyed

while it was sinful, so that it lies (to this day)

in ruins, and (how many) a deserted well and

lofty tower! Have they not traveled in the land,

so that they may have hearts wherewith to feel,

and ears wherewith to hear? For indeed it is

not the eyes that grow blind, but it is the hearts,

which are within the bosoms, that grow blind.”

(al-Quran 22:45-46)

So, we are getting blind and cannot see things coming. Maybe, we don’t want to see it as the mere thought of it is very disturbing for us. We just want comfortable lives, but we don’t want to make honest efforts for that. We go for shortcuts or we want others to do it for us. We ask the government to do things for us, but we forget that the governments also consist of people like us. Those who are in power, they care for their own interests. Nobody cares about the man in the street. Ironically the man in the street is also thinking how to get rich easily; or how to get closer to the powerful to benefit from it. It is a vicious cycle.

“… And seek not corruption in the earth!

Lo, Allah loves not corruptors.”

(al-Quran 28:77)

The funny thing in most of the Muslim countries is that everybody who works for the government would like to play the “boss” but nobody takes any responsibility. We want power but no responsibility! As Muslims or believers there should not be any doubt in our minds about the accountability process on the Day of Judgment. In the books, the following narration from Ibn Umar has been attributed to Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.):

"Beware! Everyone of you is a shepherd and everyone

is answerable with regard to his flock. The Caliph (ruler)

is a shepherd over the people and shall be questioned about

his subjects (as to how he conducted their affairs). A man is

a guardian over the members of his family and shall be

questioned about them (as to how he looked after their

physical and moral well-being). A woman is a guardian

over the household of her husband and his children and

shall be questioned about them (as to how she managed

the household and brought up the children). A slave is a

guardian over the property of his master and shall be

questioned about it (as to how he safeguarded his trust).

Beware! Everyone of you is a guardian and everyone

of you shall be questioned with regard to his trust.”

Those who are in-charge of others, will be questioned on the Judgment Day. There is no escape from it. In a Muslim society, everybody is responsible. These days, people complain about corruption and mishandling of affairs, but who is responsible for that? What happened to the accountability set-up? Alas, there is no such thing! People who are responsible for maintaining peace and justice, are corrupt and they favor their friends and families. We don’t do anything to eradicate evil. On the contrary, we go out of our way to protect those law-breakers because they are our friends and family. But we love to complain and criticize. Muslims do nothing, as usual, and wait for Allah to intervene, do the justice and punish the culprits for them. Amazing!

People go to other countries or towns to enjoy the historical places and ruins. But what do they do there? They take pictures, make selfies and videos to show around. They don’t pay attention to the history of those ruins and why did they become ruins? There are lessons in every such place. Those ruins talk but only to those who have ears! Don’t get carried away by power! The absolute and ultimate power is with Almighty God.

“And how many a generation we destroyed

before them, who were mightier than these in

prowess so that they overran the lands! Had

they any place of refuge (when the judgment

came)? Lo! Therein verily is a reminder for

him who has a heart, or gives ear with

full intelligence.”

(al-Quran 50:36-37)

PREACHING ISLAM & PRACTICING HYPOCRISY! The Arab Hypocrisy Has Been Exposed.

Arab hypocrisy has been exposed

during Zionist aggression in Iraq,

Libya, Syria, Sudan and now Iran

Preaching Islam And
Practicing Hypocrisy

The Evil Empire has installed biggots
and puppets in Muslim countries
to create leadership crisis

(M. Javed Naseem)

The Muslim world is full of Munafiqeen (hypocrites) who say something else and do something else. They claim to be Muslims but in practice do everything against Islam and Muslims. The latest example is in front of us. In the war between Iran and Israel, many Arab countries are silently and indirectly helping Israel. Their petrol and gas supplies have not be cut off. Trade and air traffic is going on as normal between Israel and Arab countries. The height of the hypocrisy (Munafiqat) is that Jordan is intersepting Iranian missiles and drones so that they don't reach Israel to inflict any damage. What a shameful hypocrisy!

“There will be people who will recite the
Quran but it will not go beyond their throats,
and they will go out of Islam as an arrow
goes out through the game, and they will
kill Muslims and leave the idolaters.”
--- Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.)

We are going backwards, very fast, to the point where Islam was first introduced to the Unbelievers and idolaters. That was the culture of pagans, sinners, robbers and killers. They didn’t want to hear anything about Allah or Islam or equal rights, and those who tried to convey the Message of Allah, they were attacked, injured and even killed.

Today, it’s almost the same situation but with one exception. During Prophet Muhammad's (s.a.w.) time, the people who delivered the Message were staunch Muslims with conviction and didn’t hesitate to sacrifice their lives. Today, the people who claim to be Muslims are not even close to Islam. They are neither sincere nor honest, and lack conviction. They are opportunists. They love comfortable luxury life of this world and don’t want to be bothered. So they compromise with evil. And that’s the exception!

The real guidance comes from Allah and the true source of all guidance in our time, is the Quran. The Quran is the Word of God and everything else is the ‘word of man’. Allah asks us in many verses of the Quran: Why don’t YOU ponder/think? Why don’t YOU reflect? YOU are responsible for your Deen, for your life in this world, and for your Aakhirah (the Hereafter). And YOU alone would be answering questions on the Day of Judgment, not the Mullahs. So, think seriously and prepare yourselves!

We have abandoned Islam, the Quran, and are going against the teachings of the Prophet (s.a.w.). Allah had given us plenty of time to correct our ways but we revolted and continued following the Devil. And now, when the evil is dancing in every Muslim household of every Islamic country, we are faced with destruction, aggression and bloodshed. We are crying ‘foul’ but don’t look into the mirror! The Devils are kicking our asses and we are screaming. Does anybody care? No, nobody! The world is just watching you suffer. There is a serious lesson and warning in it: You did it to yourselves, now you fix it yourselves!

Friends of ISIS, followers of Daesh, Salafi extremists, radicals, fundamentalists, killers of innocent Muslims – they are all fuel of Hellfire. They are NOT Muslims nor have they anything to do with Islam. They are using the name of Islam and the Zionists are using them to make an excuse for attacking Muslims and invade Islamic countries. They are the opportunists, friends of the cruel Zionists who are fighting for the control of the world to plunder its wealth.

“And of mankind are some who say:

We believe in Allah and the Last Day,

when they believe not. They think to beguile Allah

and those who believe, and they beguile none

save themselves; but they perceive not. In their

hearts is a disease, and Allah increases their

disease. A painful doom is theirs

because they lie.”

(al-Quran 2:8-10)

The forces of evil have formed fake Islamic groups with catchy names. They can use any fancy words and phrases to define themselves and fool people. Their biggest propaganda weapon is the media that is running a campaign of lies and deceptions. They are corrupt, hateful, biased and prejudiced. They are responsible for Muslim genocide but they blame Muslims for every evil they themselves do. They are killing the innocent children, women and the elderly; slaughtering the mankind and claiming to be the peace-makers.

“And when it is said unto them: Make not
mischief in the earth, they say: We are
peace-makers only. Beware! They indeed are
the mischief-makers. But they perceive not.”
(al-Quran 2:11-12)

The mischief-makers and the liars would be treated as ‘guilty’. Therefore, they will get the punishment prescribed by Allah. You cannot lie against the Divine Truth. It’s only a matter of time, and the justice will be delivered.

The Fascist Western governments are collaborating in a crusade against Islam. Their media is running the ‘hate’ campaign day and night. As a result, the cases of Muslim-bashing are on the rise in the West. People with common sense understand what is going on. The irony is that even the hate is blamed on the Muslims without realizing the true reason behind it – the illegal wars, unjustified bombings. And then they conduct stupid surveys: `Why do they hate us?`

The height of hypocrisy is that the so-called champions of human rights and civil liberties are denying Muslim people their basic rights. They are victimizing them by racial-profiling, treating them as criminals by eaves-dropping, surveillance and monitoring without any ‘reasonable doubt’ or proof of illegal activity.

Those who conceal the Truth are dishonest and unfair. They belong to the category of people called ‘Munaafiqeen’ (the hypocrites). They will be punished on the Day of Judgment. They are worse than the Unbelievers. Joining them are those who promote atheism with powerful anti-Islam campaigns.

Allah's message is the Truth and the Truth will always prevail. Even the Bible says: "The Truth shall set you free." You simply cannot deny the Divine. The Almighty Allah says:

“And who does greater wrong than he
who tells a lie against Allah, and denies
the truth when it reaches him? Will not
the home of disbelievers be in Hell?”
(al-Quran 39:32)

Beware of people who claim to be Muslims but in fact are Munaafiqeen (hypocrites). They are not brothers/friends of Muslims, instead they are the friends of the enemies of Islam/Muslims. Watch out and observe carefully who your friends and foes are!

LYING IS DECEIVING! If We Don't Repent, We'll Land In Hell.

Lying Is Deceiving!

We Lie Too Much In Daily

Life Considering It Normal

If We Don’t Repent,

We’ll Land In Hell

(M. Javed Naseem)

“Woe unto each sinful liar!”

(al-Quran 45:7)

Lying is deceiving and it is not allowed in Islam. Religious scholars claim that there are three signs of a hypocrite (Munafiq) and lying is the first one. As a matter of fact lying is the mother of all evils. Once you to tell a lie, you have to constantly lie to cover up the first lie. And the chain never stops, except that we keep adding more and more lies to the stack and eventually fail to cover them all sooner or later. Then we are exposed and lose our trust in the eyes of others; and with that trust goes our respect and honor too.

And there is more to it! Allah is not pleased with such behavior and if we don’t repent and rectify the situation immediately, we are established as ‘liars’ and we lose Allah’s blessings. As habitual liars, we start losing all spiritual good and with that Allah’s favors too. Allah has warned such people in the Quran:

“In their hearts is a disease, and

Allah increases their disease.

A painful doom is theirs

because they lie.”

(al-Quran 2:10)

The lies will bring upon us a painful doom and the wrath of Allah, not only in this world but also in the Hereafter. If we die without repenting and without asking Allah for His forgiveness, we’ll be destined to Hell, as ‘disobedient’ to Allah and as ‘friends’ or ‘brothers’ of the Devil. This is something grave.

The lies are so common in our everyday life that we don’t even feel that we are lying. We consider it normal. We also consider ‘small’ lies ‘no’ lies. For example, we are home and somebody knocks at the door or rings the door-bell, or somebody calls on the phone, we tell our wives or children to tell the visitor (or caller) that we are not home. We are lying and we force our families to lie too, most of the times unnecessarily.

Many times we know the truth about somebody or something but when somebody asks us about that, we say that we don’t know because we don’t want to embarrass somebody (our friends or family members). We are building a fake wall of protection around them (and us) which is going to crumble one day.

Then there is a group, actually a religious sect, that believes that lying with good intention is allowed and it does not fall into the category of lies. Wrong! A lie is a lie, no matter how small or how big, how noble or how evil. There are many fake Ahadith (Prophet’s sayings) that fall into this category. Allah will definitely punish those who fabricated Ahadith (even for a good purpose). When you attribute something to the Prophet that he never said or did, you are lying. And that’s a big punishable sin. Your first punishment, right in this world, is that Allah withdraws His ‘Guidance’ (Hidayah) from you and you are left in the darkness of ignorance.

“Lo! Allah guides not him

who is a liar, an ingrate.”

(al-Quran 39:3)

We disobey Allah and we think it is not grave, it is normal lifestyle. We defy Allah’s commands and think that it is nothing serious as everybody does it. That’s not the justification. Allah is the Supreme Creator and we are the Creation. He has rights over us. But we shamelessly lie to Allah, the Almighty, too and we boldly do that during prayers. When we start prayer (Salaat), in every Rakaat (unit) we recite Surah al-Fatiha (the first chapter of the Quran. In the 5th verse of this Surah (chapter), we pronounce that: '(O Allah!) We worship you alone and seek help from you only.' Here’s the translation of verses 5 to 7:

“You (alone) do we worship, and You (alone)

we ask for help. Show us the straight path,

the path of those whom You have favored;

not the (path) of those who earn Your anger,

nor of those who go astray.”

(al-Quran 1:5-7)

Lying is a big sin. We keep lying to ourselves and believe that we are better than other 'People of the Book' (Jews and Christians). That's like living in a fool's paradise. A sinner is a sinner whether he/she is a Jew, a Christian or a Muslim.

This is the height of hypocrisy (Munafiqat) that we say something which we don’t mean actually! Worshipping Allah alone and seeking only His help is contradicted by our actions when we see the crowds on the shrines, tombs, graves and mazars of the saints and priests. People go to those places and ask those dead saints and priests for help and grant of wishes; get a new job, win lottery, get a male child, heal from diseases, etc., etc. There are endless desires/wishes and so are the tombs or mazars/graves of the dead saints and priests. When we say something and in practice we do something else, it constitutes a lie, hypocrisy (Munafiqat). And that’s a punishable sin.

“Lo! Allah guides not one

who is a prodigal, a liar.”

(al-Quran 40:28)

In Islam, asking dead people (prophets, saints, priests, etc.) for help is called ‘shirk’ – making partners with Allah. According to the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.), on the Day of Judgment, the Merciful Allah might forgive all sins except ‘shirk’. This is the worst kind of sin that we can have on our record of deeds. An early repentance can get us off the hook.

Under the Law of Moses (Torah) and the Gospel of Jesus (Bible), lying is an abominable sin and merits punishment. A believer should not take it lightly. The Bible says:

'Do not steal! Do not lie! Do not deceive one another!' – (Leviticus 19:11)

'The LORD detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy.' – (Proverbs 12:22)

On the Day of Judgment, those dead (or living) saints, preachers, priests, Sai-Babas or Peers, etc., won’t be able to help you at all. They would all be worried about their own fate (Heaven or Hell). Nobody would care about you on that day and nobody would take responsibility for your losses. You alone will have to carry your own burden! Allah says:

“Whoever receives guidance, receives it for

his own benefit; whoever goes astray, does so

to his own loss. No bearer of burdens can bear

the burden of another; nor would We visit with

Our Wrath until We had sent a messenger

(to give warning).”

(al-Quran 17:15)

God has always sent to the mankind, from time to time, His Prophets and Messengers to guide or lead people to the right path. But after the death of those Prophets/Messengers, people went astray again, forgetting all about their teachings and God’s warnings. Eventually, God punished those nations and destroyed their towns, thus making them a ‘lesson’ for other nations. We make our own choices and we are responsible for them. And we will be questioned about them. We are responsible for our own fate!

“Every man's fate We have fastened on his

own neck. On the Day of Judgment, We shall

bring out for him a scroll (record), which he

will see spread open. (It will be said to him:)

Read your (own) record! Sufficient is your

soul this day to be a witness against you."

(al-Quran 17:13-14)

The only solution to all our problems is the Guidance from Allah, that came to us through His Prophets or Messengers and the Holy Books. If we don’t revert to Allah, we are lost. There is no one else to guide us and get us through this mess. Here’s the prescription:

“O believers! Seek (Allah’s) help with

patient perseverance and prayer; for Allah

is with those who patiently persevere!”

(al-Quran 2:153)

ISLAM'S CHARTER OF HUMAN RIGHTS: Prophet's Last Sermon (Khutbah) At Arafat

Islam's Charter

of Human Rights

Prophet’s Last Sermon at Arafat

(Khutbah Hajjat al-Wadaa)

(M. Javed Naseem)

Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.)’s last sermon (Khutbah) at the Farewell Hajj (Hajjat-al Wadaa), delivered at Arafat in the year 632 A.D., was the first Declaration (or Charter) of Human Rights of Islam. This sermon was not only a reminder to his followers (Muslims), but also an important admonition for the nations of the world. The final sermon confirmed the end of his Prophetic Mission. It was the year 10 A.H. of the Islamic Calendar which is considered as one of the most significant years in Islamic history.

This was the year when not only the Prophet (s.a.w.) delivered his Last Sermon during his ‘farewell’ pilgrimage to Mecca but also this was the year when number of local and foreign deputations came to the Prophet (s.a.w.) and embraced Islam along with their tribes. It was the ‘golden period’ of Islam because multitudes of people joined the Islamic community by converting to Islam after accepting the message of the Prophet (s.a.w.).

Prophet Muhammad undertook his farewell pilgrimage in the year 632 A.D. (10 Hijrah) on the 9th day of Dhul Hijjah, the 12th month of the lunar year. It was the first and the last pilgrimage made by Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.). Thousands of people from far and near joined the gathering at Arafat, near Makkah (as per one estimate: 114,000) since this pilgrimage served as a model to perform the fifth pillar of the Faith – Hajj. Every Muslim wanted to see how Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) performed the rituals and the faithful have been emulating that since then.

Five days before Dhul Hijjah, the Prophet (s.a.w.) put on Ahram (the pilgrim’s garb) and set out to Makkah with more than 114,000 Muslims. All his wives accompanied him. As he rode, he recited: "Labbaik! Allahumma Labbaik! Labbaika laa shareeka lak. Innal hamda, wan niamata lakaa wal mulk, laa shareeka lak", signifying: "Here I am at Your service; here I am, O’ Lord! Here I am to declare that there is no partner with You. All praise and blessings belong to You, and all sovereignty is Yours. I am here at Your service, and You have no partner, O’ Allah."

As the Holy Prophet recited the above call, all his Companions repeated the same loudly.

The Holy Prophet reached Makkah on the 5th of Dhu-al-Hijjah. He made seven circuits (tawaf) of the Kaabah, offered two rakaats of prayer at ‘Maqam-e-Ibrahim’ and climbing the Mount of Safa declared, "There is no God but Allah, He has no partner, all sovereignty and praise belong to Him. He gives life and brings death. He is All-Powerful and Supreme over everything."

On the 8th of Dhu-al-Hijjah, the Prophet left with his Companions for Mina and spent the night there, and on the 9th, after the Fajr, morning prayer, He proceeded to Plains of Arafat where he delivered the famous sermon. It was also the declaration of Finality of Syedna Muhammad's Prophethood, the religion was being perfected by this Final Message from The Creator to his creatures for all times to come. Here’s the text of the Final Sermon:

"All praise is due to Allah, so we praise Him, and seek His pardon and we turn to Him. We seek refuge with Allah from the evils of ourselves and from the evil consequences of our deeds. Whom Allah guides aright there is none to lead him astray; and there is none to guide him aright whom Allah leaves astray. I bear witness that there is no God but Allah, the One, having no partner with Him. His is the sovereignty and to Him is due all praise. He grants life and causes death and is Powerful over everything. There is no god but Allah, the One. He fulfilled His promise and granted victory to His bondsman, and He alone routed the confederates (of the enemies of Islam)”.

O’ People! Listen to my words, for I do not know whether we shall ever meet again and perform Hajj after this year!

O’ You people! Allah says, “O’ people, We created you from one male and one female and made you into tribes and nations, so as to be known to one another. Verily, in the sight of Allah, the most honored amongst you is the one who is most God-fearing”. There is no superiority for an Arab over a non-Arab and for a non-Arab over an Arab; nor for a white over a black, or for a black over a white, except in God-consciousness (righteousness)”.

All mankind is the progeny of Adam and Adam was fashioned out of clay. Behold! Every claim of privilege whether that of blood or property, is under my heels except that of the custody of the Kaabah and supplying of water to the pilgrims”.

O’ people of Quraish, don’t appear (on the Day of Judgment) with the burden of this world around your necks, whereas other people may appear (before the Lord) with the rewards of the hereafter. In that case I shall avail you naught against Allah”.

Behold! All practices of the days of ignorance are now under my feet. The blood revenges of the days of ignorance are remitted. The first claim on blood I abolish is that of Ibn Rabiah bin Harith who was nursed in the tribe of Saad and whom the Hudhayls killed”.

All interest and usurious dues accruing from the times of ignorance stand wiped out. And the first amount of interest that I remit is that which Abbas ibn Abd-al Muttalib had to receive. Verily it is remitted entirely”.

O’ People! Verily, your blood, your property and your honor are sacred and inviolable until you appear before your Lord, as the sacred inviolability of this day of yours, this month of yours and this very town (of yours). Verily you will soon meet your Lord and you will be held answerable for your actions”.

O’ People! Verily, you have got certain rights over your women and your women have certain rights over you. It is your right upon them to honor their conjugal rights, and not to commit acts of impropriety, which if they do, you are authorized by Allah to separate them from your beds and chastise them, but not severely, and if they refrain, then clothe and feed them properly”.

Behold! It is not permissible for a woman to give anything from the wealth of her husband to anyone but with his consent. Treat the women kindly, since they are your helpers and not in a position to manage their affairs themselves. Fear Allah concerning women, for verily you have taken them on the security of Allah and have made their persons lawful unto you by words of Allah”.

O’ People! Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, has ordained to every one his due share (of inheritance). Hence there is no need (of special) testament for an heir (departing from the rules laid down by the Shariah). He who attributes his ancestry to other than his father or claims his clientship to other than his master, the curse of Allah is upon him”.

All debts must be repaid; all borrowed property must be returned; gifts should be reciprocated and a surety must make good the loss to the assured”.

Beware! No one committing a crime is responsible for it but himself. Neither the child is responsible for the crime of his father, nor the father is responsible for the crime of his child. Nothing of his brother is lawful for a Muslim except what he himself gives willingly. So, do not wrong yourselves”.

O’ People! Every Muslim is the brother of every other Muslim, and all the Muslims form one brotherhood. And your slaves; see that you feed them with such food as you eat yourselves, and clothe them with the clothes that you yourselves wear”.

Take heed not to go astray after me and strike one another’s necks. He who (amongst you) has any trust with him, he must return it to its owner”.

O’ People! Listen and obey, though a mangled Abyssinian slave is appointed your Ameer, provided he executes (the Ordinance of) the Book of Allah among you”.

O’ People! No prophet would be raised after me and no new Ummah (would be formed) after you”.

Verily, I have left amongst you that which will never lead you astray: the Book of Allah, which if you hold fast you shall never go astray. And beware of transgressing the limits set in the matters of religion, for it is transgression of (the proper bounds of) religion that brought destruction to many people before you.

Verily, the Satan is disappointed at ever being worshipped in this land of yours, but he will be pleased by obedience in anything (short of worship that is) in matters you may be disposed to think insignificant, so beware of him in your matters of religion.

Behold! Worship your Lord; offer prayers five times a day; observe fast in the month of Ramadan; pay readily the Zakat (poor due) on your property; and perform pilgrimage to the House of God; and obey your rulers and you will be admitted to the Paradise of your Lord”.

Let him who is present, convey it unto him who is absent, for many people to whom the message is conveyed may be more mindful of it than the (present) audience”.

And if you were asked about me, what would you say?"

The audience answered, "We bear witness that you have conveyed the trust (of religion) and discharged your ministry of Prophet-hood and looked to our welfare."

Thereupon Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w.) lifted his forefinger towards the sky and then pointing towards people said:

"O’ Lord! Bear You witness unto it! O’ Lord! Bear You witness unto it.!"
