OUR PLIGHT: We Are Responsible For Our Own Plight. Repent!

We are Responsibile

For Our Own Plight.

Repent And Turn To

God For Mercy!

(M. Javed Naseem)

But those who committed misdeeds and then

repented after them and believed, indeed your Lord,

thereafter, is Forgiving and Merciful.”

(al-Quran 7:153)

The so-called ‘champions’ of human rights are violating human rights of weaker nations; and the champions of democracy are trampling the democratic values by using their veto power to suppress the voice of the majority. Democracy has become the ‘might is right’! What a shameless hypocrisy! You deny the majority of the people of the world their rights and claim to be exercising your own democratic right? What a joke!

Man has become evil. Greed turns him into a beast and he loses sense of logic, reason, dignity and justice. He wants to serve his own interest, no matter what. But there is always an end to everything. Anything that goes up, comes down. That’s the law of Nature. History of the world tells us that when Man is unable to thwart evil and deliver justice to the victims of aggression and oppression, God intervenes and delivers justice. The helpless poor victims of Palestine, Syria, Libya, Iraq, Kashmir, Somalia and Africa are all waiting for that now. And it can come anytime!

The poor helpless victims of the weaker nations can’t do much against the oppression and aggression of the rich and powerful. Their own leaders sold them out. They are told to be patient, therefore, they are waiting patiently. How things would change, no one knows. But there’s hope and everybody is clinging to it.

The pious and the righteous tell us that this is a big trial for the righteous and we have to pass through it with patience and prayer. The real life – the permanent life – is in the Hereafter. This worldly life is a temporary game show. It is easy to believe but very hard and difficult to endure! Muslims can get the consolation from the Quran:

“Say: Short is the enjoyment of this world.

The Hereafter is the best for those who do

right. Never will you be dealt with unjustly

in the very least!”

(al-Quran 4:77)

The tyrants, the aggressors and the oppressors don’t care about the Torah, the Bible or the Quran. They don’t even fear God because God allowed them for a very long time to continue their evil works. Some of them don’t even believe that they are doing something wrong. But God gave them a long leash – enough time to change their ways, repent and rectify the situation by bringing justice and peace back into people’s lives.

If the tyrants and oppressors of mankind don't budge, God knows well how to bend them, even break them. The arrogant should know the history of the earlier nations that were destroyed because they resorted to evil-doing and did not stop or repent. Here's the promise of Allah:

“So, by your Lord, without doubt, We shall

assemble them together, and (also) the Evil Ones

(the Devils); then shall We bring them forth on

their knees round about Hell. Then shall We

certainly drag out from every sect all those

who were worst in obstinate rebellion against

(Allah), the Most Gracious. And certainly

We know best those who are most worthy

of being burned therein.”

(al-Quran 19:68-70)

The trouble-makers are under the strong influence of the Devil. But they don’t realize that one day, the Devil is going to abandon them and they’ll have to face the music alone. The Devil (Shaitan) was once close to God and used to hang out with angels in the Heaven. He knows very well the justice system of the Divine. Therefore, he’ll keep himself clear of any responsibility for misleading or misguiding human beings. He would say: ‘I didn’t force you to do evil. I just talked but you did the actions. You made your own choices!’

Can you imagine that Devil fears God and acknowledges His severe punishment but we humans don’t!

“And (remember) when Shaitan (Satan) made

their (evil) deeds seem fair to them and said,

"No one of mankind can overcome you this Day

(of the battle of Badr) and verily, I am near to

you." But when the two forces came in sight

of each other, he ran away and said "Verily,

I have nothing to do with you. Verily! I see

what you see not. Lo! I fear Allah for

Allah is Severe in punishment."

(al-Quran 8:48)

We have brought the world by our inaction or evil deeds, where it is today – to the lowest ebb. Those who were clever with manipulative minds, took advantage of us. They used us to their benefit. Now, we are crying foul but there’s no referee to blow the whistle and stop the game. Those who are conducting the game, are already bought up. So, let us suffer the consequences of our ‘inaction’ patiently and pray to God, because when there was time for action, we did nothing. We were busy accumulating wealth, enjoying dance, music and getting laid. Now, we are reaping the harvest and crying! It’s better to cry before God as only HE can deliver us! We have already closed all doors. Only His door remains open 24/7 for the righteous. So, keep knocking and repenting! One day it’ll open, Insha-Allah!

I hope it opens during soon!

FASTING WORKS MIRACLES On Your Brain/Body, But Big Pharma Won't Tell You.

Fasting Works Miracles

On Your Brain/Body, But

Big Pharma Won’t Tell You.

(M. Javed Naseem)

If people fast, the food industry loses money.

What about the pharmaceutical industries?

What if people do some intermittent fasting,

exercise periodically and are very healthy,

is the pharmaceutical industry going to

make any money on healthy people?’

-- Dr. Mark Mattson, PhD

Fasting is extremely beneficial for your physical and spiritual well-being. Unfortunately, the biased media has dubbed it as a Muslim religious ritual (referring to Ramadan) only thus taking away all the health benefits your body can derive from it. Fasting is good for the body and the soul. It’s not only materially beneficial, it’s also a godly act. It’s good for the entire mankind though it’s now obligatory for Muslims only. But all scriptures show that all messengers or prophets of God (like Abraham, Moses, Jesus, etc.) used to fast. And there’s a strong possibility that their followers did the same. The Quran says that fasting was as well obligatory for all other nations as it is obligatory for Muslims. Here's a quote from the Bible:

Fasting shifts stem cells from a dormant

state to a state of self-renewal. It triggers

stem cell based regeneration of an organ

or system.’ – Study

In some narrations of Ahadith, it is said that the Prophet (s.a.w.) himself used to fast twice a week (every Monday and Thursday); while in others it is said that he used to fast three days (13th, 14th and 15th) of every month. Yet there are other narrations that he used to fast Mondays and Thursdays, plus three days (13th, 14th & 15th) every month. I won’t say that there are contradictions in such Ahadith (although there is a possibility) but, in any case, all the above narrations prove the point that I want to emphasize – fasting. This kind of fasting is called ‘intermittent fasting’ (i.e., not continuous).

Fasting twice a week could significantly

lower the risk of developing both

Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.’

-- Neuroscientists

Intermittent fasting enhances the ability

of nerve cells to repair DNA.” – Study

Dr. Mark Mattson is the head of the Laboratory of Neuroscience at the National Institute on Aging. He is also a professor of Neuroscience at The Johns Hopkins University, and one of the foremost researchers in the area of cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying multiple neuro-degenerative disorders, like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.

The Big Pharma is corrupt. Harvard Professor of Medicine Arnold Symour Relman told the world that the medical profession has been bought by the pharmaceutical industry.

It’s why Dr. Richard Horton, Editor in Chief of The Lancet, recently stated that much of the scientific literature published today is simply untrue.

It’s why Dr. Marcia Angell, former Editor in Chief of The New England Journal of Medicine, said that the “pharmaceutical industry likes to depict itself as a research-based industry, as the source of innovative drugs. Nothing could be further from the truth.”

And it’s why John Ioannidis, an epidemiologist at the Stanford University School of Medicine, published an article titled “Why Most Published Research Findings Are False” which subsequently became the most widely accessed article in the history of the Public Library of Science (PLoS).

Mark and his team have published several papers that discuss how fasting twice a week could significantly lower the risk of developing both Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.

“Dietary changes have long been known to have an effect on the brain. Children who suffer from epileptic seizures have fewer of them when placed on caloric restriction or fasts. It is believed that fasting helps kick-start protective measures that help counteract the overexcited signals that epileptic brains often exhibit. (Some children with epilepsy have also benefited from a specific high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet.) Normal brains, when overfed, can experience another kind of uncontrolled excitation, impairing the brain’s function, Mattson and another researcher reported in January in the journal Nature Reviews Neuroscience.”(source)

Fasting does good things for the brain, and this is evident by all of the beneficial neuro-chemical changes that happen in the brain when we fast. It also improves cognitive function, increases neuro-trophic factors, increases stress resistance, and reduces inflammation.

Fasting is a challenge to your brain, and your brain responds to that challenge by adapting stress response pathways which help your brain cope with stress and risk for disease. The same changes that occur in the brain during fasting mimic the changes that occur with regular exercise. They both increase the production of protein in the brain (neuro-trophic factors), which in turn promotes the growth of neurons, the connection between neurons, and the strength of synapses.

“Challenges to your brain, whether it’s intermittent fasting [or] vigorous exercise . . . is cognitive challenges. When this happens neuro-circuits are activated, levels of neuro-trophic factors increase, that promotes the growth of neurons [and] the formation and strengthening of synapses. . . .”

Fasting can also stimulate the production of new nerve cells from stem cells in the hippocampus. He also mentions ketones (an energy source for neurons), and how fasting stimulates the production of ketones and that it may also increase the number of mitochondria in neurons. Fasting also increases the number of mitochondria in nerve cells; this comes as a result of the neurons adapting to the stress of fasting (by producing more mitochondria).

By increasing the number of mitochondria in the neurons, the ability for neurons to form and maintain the connections between each other also increases, thereby improving learning and memory ability. “Intermittent fasting enhances the ability of nerve cells to repair DNA.”

A study published by researchers from the University of Southern California showed that cycles of prolonged fasting protect against immune system damage and, moreover, induce immune system regeneration. They concluded that fasting shifts stem cells from a dormant state to a state of self-renewal. It triggers stem cell based regeneration of an organ or system. (source)

Fasting kills off old and damaged immune cells, and when the body rebounds it uses stem cells to create brand new, completely healthy cells. When you starve, the system tries to save energy, and one of the things it can do to save energy is to recycle a lot of the immune cells that are not needed, especially those that may be damaged. What we started noticing in both our human work and animal work is that the white blood cell count goes down with prolonged fasting. Then when you re-feed, the blood cells come back. ” – Valter Longo, corresponding author (source)

A scientific review of multiple scientific studies regarding fasting was published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition in 2007. It examined a multitude of both human and animal studies and determined that fasting is an effective way to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and cancer. It also showed significant potential in treating diabetes. (source)

SPREADING HEARSAY, RUMORS Is A Serious Sin. Verify Information!

Verify Information
Before Sharing!
Spreading Hearsay, Rumors
Is A Serious Sin

People talk about the Sunnah but
live like hypocrites (Munafiqeen).
The Prophet (s.a.w.) lived his life by
the Quran in a simple but righteous way!

(M. Javed Naseem)

The Bible says:
“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God — having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people!” -  (2-Timothy 3:1-5)

We are living in those times!

It is good to share information, spread awareness and educate people with good intentions. But it requires one basic element which is 'authenticity' (or truth). That element springs from a valid research and honest hardwork, not the hearsay! If we do not have complete knowledge about anything, we better keep our mouths shut.

You might think that speaking about something without verification, full or authentic knowledge is a trivial matter. But it is not, and it might have grave consequences. Don’t spread rumors or unverified information! To all those Facebook and Whatsapp preachers, I dare to present the following verse from the Quran. Allah the Almighty warns us:

“Behold, you received it on your tongues,
and said out of your mouths things of which
you had no knowledge; and you thought it
to be a light matter, while it was most
serious in the sight of Allah.”
(al-Quran 24:15)

Allah asks us in the very next verse as to why did we not think of verifying it? Why does it not occur to us that it could be wrong, incorrect or incomplete or not-the-whole truth? We should be very careful in such matters as we might commit slander which is punishable!

“And why did you not, when you heard it, say:
‘It is not right of us to speak of this. Glory to
Allah! This is a most serious slander!'"
(al-Quran 24:16)

There is a group of people who present Islam based on Ahadith, whereas all educated people know that most Ahadith are not truly the word of the Prophet (s.a.w.). They are fabricated. But people with agenda are spending millions of dollars all over the world to encourage the spread of Ahadith instead of the Quran. I don't quote Ahadith except the following:

Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) said:
“Whoever ascribes to me what I have not said, then let him occupy his place in Hell.” – (Bukhari, Book 3, Ch. 38, No.109).

Ali ibn Abu Talib (r.a.a.) narrated: “The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: Do not tell a lie against me for whoever tells a lie against me (intentionally) then he will surely enter Hell.” – (Bukhari, Book 3, No. 106).

Like all other Ahadith, the above also have no proof or evidence that the Prophet (s.a.w.) actually said that. But I use that for Ahadith lovers. It is true that nobody in the world has any proof or evidence that Prophet (s.a.w.) said what they they claim he said. It is all hearsay; like so and so heard from so and so; he heard it from so and so; and they are all dead. Where is the proof? Books published hundreds of years after the death of the Prophet (s.a.w.) are all based on hearsay without any evidence. Only the Quran is authentic. Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) preached Islam through the Quran. Ahadith didn't exist at that time.

We all pretend sometimes, depending on the situation. We think it is a normal thing in our daily life. As a matter of fact, pretending is similar to lying because it is far from the truth. We are actually trying to hide the truth. We are trying to show others what we are not. Shouldn't we call it 'cheating'? In fact, saying one thing and doing something else falls into the definition of hypocrisy. The Almighty God has stated clearly in the Holy Quran that this act is the most hateful in the eyes of the Creator.

“O you who believe! Why do you SAY that
which you don't DO? It is most hateful in
the sight of Allah that you SAY that
which you don't DO.”
(al-Quran 61: 2-3)

I appreciate what people are posting on Facebook to educate others and spread awareness. But to those internet preachers of Islam, I have one question: “Do you practice what you are preaching?” I am sure most of them don't, otherwise there wouldn't be so much trouble in the world, especially in Muslim countries. People talk about trivial things and present them as Sunnah of the Prophet (s.a.w.) but they don't practice the big and more important Sunnahs.

Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) lived a very simple life. He never lied in his entire life. He never committed any act of injustice, dishonesty or false preaching. He feared Allah and he lived his entire life according to the Commands of Allah, as per the tenets of the Quran. We don't follow that Sunnah. We don't eat the way our Prophet (s.a.w.) ate – one main meal per day. We don't fast like our Prophet (s.a.w.) did – at least 11-12 days per month. He fasted every Monday, every Thursday, and every 13th, 14th & 15th of the Islamic month! He wore simple clothes and didn't possess more than two dresses, etc., etc. Do we follow those Sunnahs? No, we don't, but we give lectures on Sunnah!

We are promoting fake, fabricated, unauthentic, weak and unreliable Hadith narrations just to support our own argument or point of view. As a matter of fact, we are promoting those “Jaahil” Sheikhs and self-proclaimed scholars who say that “lying” (falsehood) with good intention is permitted in Islam (while it is NOT permitted in the Quran). We have distorted the face of Islam and we blame non-Muslims for every evil. The evil of hypocrisy prevailing in Muslim countries is a much bigger evil than those evils prevailing in non-Muslim countries.

There are 'professionals' in all religious groups who make money by manipulating religion. Those preachers use God's name and Scriptures to get rich. Here’s what the Bible says about such people:

Titus 1:16
“They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny Him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.”

Matthew 23:27-28
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs which look beautiful on the outside, but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean.”
“In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside, you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.”

1-John 4:20
“Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.

1-Peter 2:16
“Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves.”

Luke 6:46

"Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?"

Mark 7:6
“He replied, Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.”

Muslim leaders of today are not Muslims in the true sense. They are plain hypocrites (Munafiqeen). They are corrupt, crooks and are playing puppets in the hands of their colonial masters just to stay in power. They are responsible for bringing misery, destruction, bloodshed and civil wars in many Muslim countries. They are helping the Zionists to destroy Muslim countries. Their pay-back time will be coming soon.

The Quran says:

“The hypocrites, men and women, (have an
understanding) with each other: They enjoin evil, and
forbid what is just, and are close with their hands.
They have forgotten Allah; so He has forgotten them.
Verily the hypocrites are rebellious and perverse.”
(al-Quran 9:67)

“Allah has promised the hypocrites men and women,
and the rejecters of Faith, the fire of Hell. Therein shall
they dwell. Sufficient is it for them. For them is the
curse of Allah, and an enduring punishment.”
(al-Quran 9:68)

“The hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of
the Hellfire; no helper will you find for them.”
(al-Quran 4:145)

The so-called liberals and Western educated Muslims love to mock Islam and the commands in the Quran. They forget that the Quran is the Word of Allah; you cannot mock it, ridicule it or change it. You must respect it. The atheists, polytheists and the hypocrites (Munafiqeen) love to make fun of Islam or the Muslims, but Allah, the Almighty, has warned them:

“And that He may punish the hypocrites, men
and women, and the Polytheists men and women,
who imagine an evil opinion of Allah. On them is
a round of Evil. The wrath of Allah is on them.
He has cursed them and got Hell ready for them;
and evil is it for a destination.”
(al-Quran 48:6)

THE ESSENCE OF ALL RELIGIONS: Righteousness And Justice.

The Essence Of All Religions:
Righteousness
And Justice

(M. Javed Naseem)

What is Islam? What religion Prophets Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (s.a.w.) practiced and preached? It was submission to God Almighty. That submission or surrender is called Islam in Arabic language. Islam is righteousness and justice! As a matter of fact, social justice is a part of righteousness. You can’t be a pious or a righteous person without being just and fair in your dealings. You must be an honest and just person in every walk of life to be rightly called ‘righteous’. The best definition of ‘righteousness’ comes directly from the Almighty God in the Holy Quran. Allah says:

“It is not righteousness that you turn your faces
towards east or west; but the righteousness is to
believe in Allah and the Last Day, and the Angels,
and the Books, and the Messengers; to spend of
your substance, out of love for Him, for your kin,
for orphans, for the needy, for the wayfarer, for
those who ask, and for the ransom of slaves; to
be steadfast in prayer, and practice regular charity;
to fulfill the contracts which you have made; and
to be firm and patient, in pain (or suffering) and
adversity, and throughout all periods of panic.
Such are the people of truth, the Allah-fearing.”
(al-Quran 2:177)

God is gracious! You take care of people around you and God will take care of you! What a beautiful bargain, only win/win situation! Allah commands the believers in the Holy Quran to be just, honest and kind to others so that there is no injustice, inequality and corruption.

The Quran says:

“Allah commands justice, the doing of good,
and liberality to kith and kin, and He forbids all
shameful deeds, and injustice and rebellion. He
instructs you that you may receive admonition.”
(al-Quran 16:90)

The Bible Says:

“But let justice roll on like a river,
Righteousness like a never-failing stream!”
(Amos 5:24)

A society based on social justice and equality is a peaceful and happy society. But we need to train ourselves to be content with whatever we have earned honestly and legally. No greed, no injustice! All evil springs from greed and unfairness or injustice. The world today is in chaos because of the rich and powerful who want to control and run it their way which is not just or fair. Their greed, dishonesty and wish to rule the entire world is the basis of all corruption, all wars, all death & destruction, all fake diseases and all fake vaccines. Allah commands:

“O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as
witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your
parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or
poor; for Allah can best protect both. Follow not the
lusts (of your hearts), lest you swerve, and if you
distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily Allah
is well-acquainted with all that you do.”
(al-Quran 4:135)

You see the level of piety and righteousness in the above command of God about justice! The words “even as against yourselves” or against your family, would take you to another level of moral achievement which is rarely seen in today’s material world. That’s true justice and that’s true Islam!

It is not easy to deliver justice or to maintain justice in a fast changing society where interests always clash, even in the family. With so much crime and injustice around us; with so much corruption in the society, with so much selfishness, we have lost confidence in people. We don’t trust people easily. There is always suspicion. The irony is that we are suspicious about others because we are judging them by our own yardstick and not by universal standards. At the same time, we don’t like to be judged by the same yardstick. We easily find faults in others but see no fault in ourselves. We criticize others but hate it when others criticize us as we feel insulted. This is real hypocrisy or bigotry (Munafiqat).

Here’s what the Bible says:

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the
judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and
with the measure you use it will be measured to you.
Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's
eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take
the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in
your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out
of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to
take the speck out of your brother's eye.”
(Matthew 7:1-5)

“Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality
to the poor or favoritism to the great,
but judge your neighbor fairly.”
(Leviticus 19:15)

And here's what the Quran says:

"But whoever believes, and works righteousness,
he shall have a goodly reward, and easy will be his
task as We order it by our Command."
(al-Quran 18:88)

God, the Almighty, wants a just and peaceful society on Earth that’s why He commands believers to consult the Book, the ‘How To’ manual in the discharge of their daily affairs. And social justice is one of the most important field.

The Quran says:

“We have sent down to you the Book in
truth, that you may judge between men,
as guided by Allah …”
(al-Quran 4:105)

“Except those who repent and believe, and work
Righteousness, for these will enter the Garden and
will not be wronged in the least.”
(al-Quran 19:60)

The Bible says:

“The Lord loves righteousness and justice,
the earth is full of his unfailing love.”
(Psalms 33:5)

THE NEW PROTEIN: Are We Eating 'Shit' Without Knowing?

The New Protein:
Are We Eating 'Shit'
Without Knowing?

Insect/bug powder (flour) is
added to bread, bakery, many
foods and drinks

(M. Javed Naseem)

Welcome to the New World (Order) of 2023! Insects are now being added to confectionery, bread & baking products, pasta, pastry products and drinks. The food manufacturers have already been granted permission to add insects to all food products. The evil multi-national corporations are using one excuse or another to inflate their profits. If people get sick or die, it is not their problem. They'll still make money from the sick.

You should look carefully at the packaging as the manufacturers are supposed to mention all ingredients the product contains. But they always fool consumers by mentioning just the numbers or codes of the ingredients they put into your food. You have to decode those numbers. The govt. oblige the producers to write what was added in the food but unfortunately it is done in a deceiving language. Learn the terminology used for the latest addition -- the bugs/insects!

Insect/Bug Powder (or Flour):
1. Yellow flour worms - Tenebrio molitor (commonly called flour, yellow flour, woolen beetles, dark beetles ).
2. The Cockroaches - Blattodea.
3. Domestic grasshopper - Acheta domesticus.
4. Migratory Locust - Migratory locusta..
5. Buffalo Worm - Alphitobius Diaperinus.
6. Carmine, used for food coloring, is extracted from insects.

These insects will give you a lot of parasitic flora. Chityna is a hard outer cover for insects that destroy internal organs of humans and cause diseases. Insects are a reservoir of parasitic and pathogenic flora that cripples human organs. If you look at product compositions, watch out for:
E -120-karmin (red dye) is a mixture of cachinel worms.
E - 904 WIND . It is a product of worm waste. Worms live in subtropical countries.

After the EU has eased regulation on using cricket flour in food, it has caused a storm on social media, especially in Lithuania, the biggest producer and exporter of insects and insect flour. 'Fears that people will be forced to eat insects without knowing it are quite unfounded', food regulators assure. A cricket farm in Kaunas District exports about two thirds of its production, selling only one third domestically. The founders of the farm, called Achetaos, were interested in crickets as a new and alternative food of the future.

Fried crickets taste like nuts or sunflower seeds. They are very high in iron, twice as much as beef, and contain 65 grams of protein per hundred grams.

Some critics of the 'flour' have been posting on social media about supposed health hazards from Chitin, a substance found in cricket flour. The European Food Authority’s "Risk Assessment" states that Chitin acts as a fibre to aid digestion and is not a health hazard. Fears that cricket powder will replace traditional flour are also largely unfounded.

From 'Insect Gourmet': Eat Insects!
More than 2 billion people already do!

Let us guide you – it’s good for you and the planet! Edible insects are healthy, nutritious alternatives to mainstream staples such as chicken, pork, beef and even fish! What’s more, they have a much smaller ecological footprint than livestock. That means eating insects is good for you and the planet!

The practice of eating insects is known as entomophagy. Entomophagy is heavily influenced by cultural  practices and 2,100 insect species are commonly consumed as a food source in many regions of the world.

Food Products Made From Insects
Insects are not only sold whole (plain roasted or seasoned) for you to snack on, close to 400 edible-insect-related businesses are operating in the Western world (source), producing a variety of products ranging from protein powders, energy bars, confectionary, beverages and more substantial foods.

Cricket Flours and Powders
The Acheta Domesticus is the main cricket used in most products because it has a milder taste compared to others. It is also the most-farmed cricket worldwide.

Cricket powder, synonymous with cricket flour, is the result of  whole dried crickets being ground into powder. This fine white or brownish powder, just like grain flours, can be used for cooking and baking.

A growing market
The global market for edible insect products is expected to grow by more than 26% per year until to $4.6 billion by 2027. In terms of volume, the market size for edible insects is growing by more than 28% and will reach 1.4 million tons by 2027.
The biggest growth is expected in the protein powder segment. Powders and flour are easily incorporated into other foods such as protein bars, pasta and beverages, making insects invisible to the consumer. This can overcome the hesitancy of Western societies to eat insects.

Besides the high nutritional value of insects, a growing demand for environment-friendly, alternative protein sources is driving the growth of the edible insects market. Be it whole or processed, insects are bound to become part of our nutrition.

Integrating insects could improve the diet of people in modern societies and potentially contribute to better health outcomes, especially if edible insects replace discretionary food and other highly processed products. Insects are distinguished from other animal protein sources by having many unique nutritional attributes. Insects, and the protein powders made from them, are high in quality protein with a full set of amino acids, omega-3s and 6s fatty acids, micronutrients (i.e., copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorous, selenium and zinc), and vitamins (i.e., ascorbic acid, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, biotin, and in some cases folic acid.

And lastly, if you are a fan of civet coffee – a coffee that consists of partially digested coffee cherries, which have been eaten and defecated by the Asian palm civet – then you might like the Bugapoop Worm Poo Tea as well, a.k.a. Bug Shit Tea, Moth Poop Tea or Pearl tea.

Bugapoop Tea is a special tea made from the feces of grain moth larvae. These larvae are fed on nothing else but special tea leaves (Camellia sinensis) that have been naturally fermented. As the leaves pass through the larvae’s body, they continue fermentation. Their droppings are handpicked, and then collected droppings are dried and then further aged.
Seriously.

There's Bug DNA in Your Tea
(and It Could Be Really Useful)

Researchers have found dozens of tea and herb samples contained environmental DNA from over 1,200 species of arthropods.
The researchers from Germany's Trier University and the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology, looked at dried tea and herbs, and came back with some surprising findings of just how many bugs — or more specifically, arthropods — came into contact with these items: each sample contained environmental DNA (eDNA) from at least 200 different creatures.
In total, the study, which was published in Biology Letters, was able to identify genetic traces of over 1,200 different species of arthropods by looking at 40 samples of tea, chamomile, mint, and parsley purchased from local grocery stores.
The FDA even sets acceptable levels of things like insect fragments in all sorts of foods.
