TRUTH BEHIND YEMEN WAR: The Evil Empire wants total control of world's oil/energy.

Truth Behind Yemen War:
The Evil Empire Wants
Total Control of World’s Oil

US, UK, France, Israel,
S/Arabia Responsible For
Deaths/Famine In Yemen

(M. Javed Naseem)

The Deep State is pursuing a brutal policy of the world’s economic and political control through One World Govt. agenda or New World Order, toppling opposition, killing millions of innocent people around the globe.

According to the information from Wikipedia, on May 20, 2017, the US President, Donald Trump, and the Saudi Arabian king, Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, signed a series of letters of intent for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to purchase arms from the United States totaling US$110 billion immediately, and $350 billion over 10 years. The intended purchases include tanks, combat ships, missile defense systems, as well as radar, communications and cyber-security technology.

The UK has also sold more than £4.6bn worth of arms to the Saudis since the beginning of the Yemeni conflict in March 2015, according to the Campaign Against the Arms Trade, including aircraft, drones, grenades, missiles and tanks.

The American weapons sales/transfer is projected as a counterbalance against the influence of Iran in the region and a "significant" and "historic" expansion of the US-KSA relations.

As a matter of fact, it is not the historic expansion of relations, it is rather the historic expansion of the US hegemony and control of the world’s oil where the Middle East (including Saudi Arabia) happens to be the strategic key element.

****************************************
They don’t want an independent oil-rich
Yemen in the heart of the tamed Middle East as
it’s a danger to the obedient puppet S/Arabia.
Similarly, a nuclear-powered oil-producing
non-aligned Pakistan that claims to be Islamic
too, doesn’t fit into the Western agenda. So,
Yemen and Pakistan will never produce oil
but would be kept under control!

****************************************

In an era of political lies, deception, spins, disinformation and misinformation, most people don’t know what’s behind the bloody scenes in Yemen. The Zionist media is only promoting a vicious agenda. The Deep State has been very successful in their manipulation of the religious divide between Shia and Sunni Muslims (Kuwait, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Pakistan, Iran and other countries). It works well for them. But in truth, Yemen is not merely a Shia vs Sunni conflict, as is painted for the outside world. It’s a part of the oil-control campaign of the Evil Empire.

Political scenario:
During the Arab Spring of 2011, an uprising forced the long-time dictator Ali Abdullah Saleh, to hand over power to his deputy, Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi. President Hadi struggled to deal with various problems but failed. In 2014, the Houthi Shia Muslim rebel movement took advantage and seized control of Saada province and neighboring areas. The Houthis went on to take the capital Sanaa, forcing Mr. Hadi into exile abroad.
In March 2015, the conflict escalated dramatically, when Saudi Arabia and eight other Arab states - backed by the US, UK, and France - began air-strikes against the Houthis, with the declared aim of restoring Mr. Hadi's puppet government. In December 2017, the Houthis killed Ali Abdullah Saleh.

Yemen sits on a very strategic location – on key waterways – both militarily and economically speaking. An opening onto Asia, Africa and beyond Europe by way of Suez, Yemen is a treasure for any superpower to hold. Being in Yemen, the Evil Empire can control the entire oil trade of the Middle East. Saudi Arabia is only being used as a tool to implement the Middle Eastern leg of the world-game. The gun is put on the Saudi shoulder in exchange for a lot of money. Saudi Arabian King/Prince are being fooled by the Evil Empire on Yemen with false assurances, just like Saddam Hussein was fooled with false assurances on Kuwait. So, now control is what motivates Riyadh – control over southern Arabia and its waterways; control over the world oil route and the ever-enticing opening onto Europe.

According to the estimates of the US-based ‘Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project’, more than 67,650 civilians and combatants have been killed since January 2016 (based on news reports of each incident of violence).

And according to the estimates of the charity ‘Save The Children’, 85,000 children with severe acute malnutrition may have died between April 2015 and October 2018.

(More than 60% of civilian deaths have been the result of Saudi-led air strikes, the UN says)
Consequently, medics have struggled to deal with the largest cholera outbreak ever recorded in the history of mankind, which has resulted in more than 1.49 million suspected cases and 2,960 related deaths since April 2017.

The war has also displaced more than 3.3 million from their homes, including 685,000 who have fled fighting along the west coast since June 2018.

Thousands of people have been killed, many thousands injured and the rest are being starved by the Saudi-coalition blockade. The Evil Empire (with its brutal bombing wings like Britain and France) is pursuing the same policy in the world in general and in the Middle East in particular that the apartheid state Israel has been pursuing in Palestine. Saudi Arabia is a puppet regime of the Evil Empire in the Middle East. Therefore, things are NOT going to be different in Yemen than they are in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria and Palestine.

Strict Saudi blockades and travel restrictions have prevented food and aid reaching Yemen, causing the price of food within the country to skyrocket and leaving desperate families unable to afford basic supplies from markets.

The WPF report, accusing the Saudi coalition of using starvation as a weapon of war to create untenable conditions for the Houthis, states that no fewer than 220 fishing boats have been destroyed by bombs along the country’s Red Sea coast. This has meant the local fish catch is down by 50 per cent.
The prevailing hardships as a result of bomb-damage have hit supplies of electricity and fuel, making basic arable farming difficult, while ranchers have been forced to sell their cattle to make ends meet.
As a result of all this, almost three-quarters of Yemen’s 27.58 million population are currently reliant on aid. Of that total of approximately 22.2 million, 8.4 million are starving, 1.8 million of those being children, according to UNICEF.
That’s the situation on the ground and its getting worse day by day during the hot summer days with temperatures already hitting 40c degrees mark.

(Houthi rebel fighters entered Sanaa in September 2014 and took full control in January 2015)
What is the Real Reason behind the War on Yemen?
In fact, it is the same reason that was behind Iraqi invasion; behind Libya’s destruction; behind Venezuela’s regime change; and now Iran’s forthcoming war. It’s oil.
America wants a steady and guaranteed low-priced, unlimited oil supply as per its own terms and conditions; plus the subservient puppet governments/leaders in those countries. Those who don’t agree (or submit) must go – even go to Hell – at all costs. No exceptions! They can give any title to the dramatic chapters of this bloody game – 9/11 or WMD, War-on-Terror, Shia-Sunni conflict, civil war, etc.

George Meggle’s analysis published by Telepolis, in November 2018, points rightly to this direction. He wrote:
“In Saudi Arabia, the strategy of this sage providence is called VISION 2030. According to this vision, the economy of Saudi Arabia will become more and more independent of oil production. And the scope of this planned "modernization" (which could also be called "Dubaification") requires one thing - time. Lots of time. And should time run out, depending on peak oil and the establishment of new sources of revenue, for example, red sea tourism, investment centers, mega-sports events, a plan B is needed. Maybe a fallback on the resources of a "rich" Yemen which so far had only been seen as reserves? Realizing Vision 2030 is, according to its own PR, ensuring the future of the Saudi empire. And thereby the future of the person in whose hands the responsibility and implementation of VISION 2030 are placed, and also the "success" of the Yemen war primarily initiated by him - the hands of the rather forceful crown prince MbS (Mohammed Bin Salman).”

****************************************
“It should also be added that a massive reserve
of oil has been discovered in the area of Al-Jawf
near the border with Saudi Arabia. It is estimated
to be larger than the fields of Saudi Arabia,
Kuwait and the UAE put together.”
        Al-Ahram Weekly

****************************************

“My central question can now be implemented by specifically asking: Why is the current genocide in Yemen from the point of view of MbS rational - and therefore strategically justified?”
My roughly sketched answer: Because he knows - and all those on whose support for this genocide he can (so far) rely also know - that without this war the most important pillar of the power of his reign could be toppling over, this pillar being the guaranteed supply of oil for the world economy according to the conditions of the US. A rich Yemen which does not follow the rules of this Saudi / US-game could be a real "game changer". And even just the possibility of such an alternative has to be prevented, in the name and for the sake of this magic category - world-wide stability; prevented by all means, with even the most extreme means – such as genocide.

US & France Jointly Responsible for Famine
(Pub. May 5, 2019 by GeoPolitics)
A French military intelligence note dated September 2018 shows that Saudi Arabia is making extensive use of French armaments in its war against Yemen, specifically “Leclerc tanks, Archer artillery howitzers, Mirage 2000-9 fighter jets, Cobra radars, Aravis armoured vehicles, Cougar and Dauphin helicopters, Caesar cannons …».
The maps included in the classified military report were presented to President Emmanuel Macron on October 3, 2018 during a “restricted” Defence Council meeting in the French Presidential office.
“The leaked document, released on March 15, 2019 by the investigative media outlet Disclose, complements the revelations already published on June 16, 2018 by the newspaper Le Figaro, which confirmed the presence of French special forces fighting alongside the Saudi Arabian army during the battle in the Yemeni city of Hodeida [also known as al-Hudayda].”

The strategy of the Israeli-Saudi Joint Chiefs of Staff, supported by the United States, France and the United Arab Emirates, now envisages seeking victory in Yemen by starving the population.
At least one third of the targets attacked by the warring coalition in Yemen are not military but civilian targets. At least 50,000 Yemeni children have already died as a result of the famine caused by the Saudi Arabian-led coalition attacks.

Poland: Israel reveals its military hand in Yemen
The Ministerial Conference in Poland on Peace and Security in the Middle East addressed but one important issue and this issue was not on the agenda. At the conference, Israël publicly demonstrated that it had relations with Arab States – the representatives of these countries engaging in conversations inter se. This is remarkable because officially, there are no diplomatic relations between these states.

If the truth be known, right at the beginning of this war in Yemen, troops from Saudi Arabia, the Emirates and Israel took part. These three states set up a joint general staff in Somaliland. The latter is not recognized as a state and is controlled by Israel. This war had been the subject of several years of negotiation between Israel and Saudi Arabia. Its objective was to exploit the oil reserves in the “desert of Rub-Al Khali”, the area straddling Saudi Arabia and Yemen. Further exploitation will take place through a joint project in the Horn of Africa.
About sixty foreign delegates participated in this show.

BE HEALTH CONSCIOUS! Ramadan Can Help Change Your Eating Habits.

Ramadan Can Help
Change Your Eating Habits!

Be Health Conscious,
Use Nutritious Foods,
Fruits & Veggies!

(M. Javed Naseem)

We are half-way through Ramadan and are now on the downhill, which is actually the difficult and challenging part. The last days of Ramadan require Muslims to be more God-conscious and concentrate more on their spiritual cleansing; though Ramadan is generally known for physical cleansing. In some countries the fasting hours are long, some are very long stretching up to 20 hours.

This week, the shortest fasting time (11 hours) has been recorded in Ushuaia, Argentina, while the longest (20 hours 45 minutes) was recorded in Murmansk, Russia. This, almost 21-hour fast (out of 24 hours) is really challenging for the faithful. But the power of faith helps and strengthens their resolve and determination.

Here’s a short list of countries with the longest and the shortest fasting time. The fasting time has been calculated from Dawn – the Adhan of Fajr till Sunset – Adhan of Maghrib prayer.

*******************************************
The Shortest Vs The Longest Fast

Argentina (Ushuaia) : 11 hours.
Chile (Santiago) : 12 hours 4 minutes.
South Africa (Capetown) : 12 hours 4 minutes.
Brazil (Rio de Janeiro) : 12 hours 28 minutes.
Kenya (Nairobi) : 13 hours 17 minutes.
Saudi Arabia (Riyadh) : 14 hours 37 minutes.
India (Delhi) : 14 hours 51 minutes.
Pakistan (Islamabad) : 15 hours 14 minutes.
Egypt (Cairo) : 15 hours 6 minutes.
Morocco (Casablanca) : 16 hours.
USA (New York) : 15 hours 38 minutes.
Russia (Moscow) : 16 hours 23 minutes.
France (Paris) : 17 hours 9 minutes.
UK (London) : 17 hours 51 minutes.
Denmark (Copenhagen) : 18 hours 12 minutes.
Norway (Oslo) : 18 hours 43 minutes.
Sweden (Lulea) : 19 hours 43 minutes.
Russia (Murmansk) : 20 hours 45 minutes.

While fasting, we should pay special attention to our food. We should use more fruits and vegetables. Beans and lean meat is also recommended. Nutrition experts recommend Lentil soup. In India-Pakistan, this means ‘Masoor ki Daal’. Avoid spicy food in the Suhoor because it will make you thirsty during the day. Milk and yoghurt are very good at both ends (Suhoor & Iftar times).

The nutrition experts from the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) have recommended the following foods during Ramadan. You can keep the same regime even after the month of Ramadan.

What foods should you have during Suhoor?
For Suhoor (pre-dawn meal)
When deciding what to eat during Ramadan, remember that Iftar and Suhoor help sustain your fast the following day, so consuming the right food is important,” says the Department of Dietetics at Singapore General Hospital (SGH), a member of the SingHealth group.

Suhoor needs to be wholesome to provide enough energy to last during the long hours of fasting. Suhoor should include the following foods:

Fruits and vegetables
Rich in fiber, fruits and vegetables are essentials during fasting as they increase the feeling of fullness and help prevent constipation. They also contain vitamins, minerals and phyto-chemicals that are vital for good health.

Health Promotion Board (HPB) recommends 2 servings of vegetables and 2 servings of fruit per day. Make sure you have 1 serving of fruit and 1 serving of veggie at each of your two meals. Traditionally during Ramadan, dates are eaten at the start of Iftar to symbolize the breaking of the fast. Besides being an excellent source of energy, dates are also rich in potassium – helping muscles and nerves to function well. But don’t consume too much as dates are high in sugar!

Rice and alternatives
High-fibre carbohydrate foods like brown rice and wholemeal bread take longer to digest, helping to sustain energy levels longer.

Whole-wheat bread, brown rice or wholegrain noodles are complex carbohydrates that provide the body with energy, fiber and minerals. Compared to sugary foods and desserts that burn quickly, they provide more stable and sustainable energy levels.

Meat and alternatives
Skinless chicken, fish and low-fat dairy products are a great source of protein while limiting your fat intake. Furthermore, they help repair and build body tissue, and build up your immune system. Consuming high-calcium dairy products also helps maintain strong bones. Those that are lactose intolerant can choose lactose-free milk or calcium-fortified soybean milk.

Incorporate protein rich sources such as lean meat, skinless chicken, fish, eggs, legumes and low-fat dairy products.
To keep your meals healthy, limit the use of oil and opt for steaming, grilling, baking or shallow frying instead. When choosing oils, you should also pick those that are high in unsaturated fats such as canola oil and soybean oil.

British Nutrition Foundation recommends:
What to eat and drink at iftar and suhoor:

Iftar – when first breaking the fast go for plenty of fluids, low fat, fluid-rich foods and foods containing some natural sugars for energy (avoid consuming a lot of foods or drinks with added sugars). Below are some examples:

Drinks – water, milk, fruit juices or smoothies – water provides hydration without any extra calories or added sugars. Drinks based on milk and fruit provide some natural sugars and nutrients – these are also good to break the fast but avoid drinking a lot of drinks with added sugars after breaking the fast as these can provide too much sugars and calories.

Dates – traditionally eaten to break the fast since the time of the Prophet Muhammad, dates are a great way to break the fast as they provide natural sugars for energy, provide minerals like potassium, copper and manganese and are a source of fibre. You could also try other dried fruits such as apricots, figs, raisins or prunes, which also provide fibre and nutrients.

Fruit – a traditional way to break the fast in South Asian cultures, fruit provides natural sugars for energy, fluid and some vitamins and minerals.
Soup – traditional in many Arab countries, is a light way to break the fast and provides fluid. Traditional soups are based on a meat broth and often contain pulses, like lentils and beans, and starchy foods like pasta or grains, providing nutrients and energy.

After breaking the fast – meals vary between different cultures and traditions but try to make sure the foods you eat provide a balance of starchy foods, including whole-grains where you can, fruit and vegetables, dairy foods and protein-rich foods like meat, fish, eggs and beans.
For example you could have a range of curries including fish, meat, vegetables and pulses, served with rice, chapattis and yogurt.

After a long fast it’s natural to want to treat yourself but try to keep the amount of fatty and sugary foods and sugary drinks you have to a small amount. Remember that you only have a relatively short time each day to eat and drink to provide your body with all the essential nutrients and fluids it needs to be healthy, so the quality of your diet is especially important during Ramadan.

If you can, once you have had a chance to digest your food, you could try doing some light exercise such as going for a walk. If you attend Taraweeh prayers (special night-time prayers for Ramadan) in the evening, perhaps you could walk all or part of the way there.

Suhoor – drink plenty of fluids, choose fluid-rich foods to make sure you are well hydrated for the day ahead and go for starchy foods for energy, choosing high fibre or wholegrain varieties where possible as these can help keep you feeling fuller and can aid digestion, helping to prevent constipation. Below are some examples:

Oats - these are whole-grains and you could choose porridge, which will also provide fluids as it’s made with milk or water, muesli with milk or yogurt or overnight oats. You could experiment with fresh or dried fruit, nuts or seeds as toppings.

High-fiber breakfast cereals – these provide plenty of fiber and are often fortified with vitamins and minerals, providing extra nutrients. Because they are consumed with milk, you also get fluid and nutrients like calcium, iodine and b vitamins from the milk.

Starchy foods like rice, or couscous – you could try rice pudding with fruit or experiment with couscous or other grains with dairy or fruit. If you go for savoury dishes at suhoor then it's a good idea make sure these are not too salty or they may make you very thirsty during the fast.

Yogurt – this can be a good food to include at suhoor as it provides nutrients like protein, calcium, iodine and b vitamins and also contains fluid. You could combine it with cereal and fruit as in the examples above.

Breads – go for wholegrain options as these provide more fiber, for example whole-meal toast or Chapattis. Avoid combining bread with salty foods like hard cheese, or preserved meats. You could try nut butters (without added salt), soft cheese, or banana. As bread is fairly dry, make sure you drink plenty of water or other fluids alongside or you could have fluid-rich foods such as a lentil soup, which is a traditional food at Suhoor in some countries.

BATTLE OF BADR (17TH RAMADAN): The First War of Islam; When 313 Devotees Wrote The 1st Chapter of Islamic History.

17th of Ramadan
Battle of Badr
The First War Of Islam

When 313 Devotees Wrote The
First Chapter of Islamic History!

(M. Javed Naseem)

وَلاَ يَحْسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ سَبَقُوۤاْ إِنَّهُمْ لاَ يُعْجِزُونَ
“Let not the unbelievers think that they
can get the better (of the godly). They
will never frustrate (them)”.
(al-Quran 8:59)

Badr was the first major encounter between the newly-born nation of Muslims and the evil-living unbelievers (Kaafireen), the Quraish of Makkah. This was the one historic event that changed the course of history of not only the Arabia but of the entire universe.

At the dawn of Islam in Makkah, Muslims were killed, injured, tortured, robbed and persecuted. Eventually, they were expelled while some fled their homes and took refuge somewhere else. It is happening again today in every place where Islam has its foothold. Muslims are being persecuted, even massacred, their homes and homelands being destroyed and the survivors driven out as refugees.

The history of mankind tells us that it is the oppressed that conquer the oppressors in the end! That’s how Allah balances out the injustice, persecution, aggression, corruption, oppression and inequality. He helps the oppressed to break the shackles. The history of David and Goliath is being repeated – and we know the outcome very well! It’s a matter of time only.

“And We wished to be Gracious to those who
were being oppressed in the land, to make them
leaders (in Faith) and make them inheritors.”
(al-Quran 28:5)

The Battle of Badr has been referred to in the Holy Quran; and Allah called it a “Day of Furqaan”. The Arabic word ‘furqaan’ means to separate or to distinguish. It was the 17th day of Ramadan, in the 2nd year of Hijrah (7th of March, 623 A.D., some put it as March 17, 624 A.D.)) when the Almighty Allah separated/distinguished the Truth from Falsehood; the Light from Darkness; and the Guidance from Ignorance! He gave the believers a great victory and vanquished the hopes and aspirations of the disbelievers who wanted to wipe out Islam which had started gaining popularity. Muslims were a tiny minority and were constantly persecuted by the politically powerful and financially strong Quraish.

A few days before Ramadan, reports reached Madinah that a trade caravan of Quraish was returning to Makkah from Syria. The caravan was carrying not only merchandise but also weapons. It was estimated that the caravan had made a profit of 50,000 Dinars (pieces of gold). The weapons and the huge amount of money were to be used to equip an army to fight against Muslims. The caravan was led by Abu Soufyan, a Makkan stalwart and staunch enemy of Muslims at that time.

(The ‘Martyrs of Badr’ graveyard in the town of Badr, Saudi Arabia)
Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.), after consultation with his companions, decided to intercept the caravan. He appointed Abu Lababa as Governor of Madinah, and left the city for  Badr, a village in the south-west of Madinah. It was 8th of Ramadan. Scholars differ about their exact number (ranging from 305 to 319) but most of them agree on 313. About 80-90 of them were from Makkah (‘Muhajireen’) and the rest were ‘Ansar’ (locals) of Madinah. They settled and took up position in a valley which was known for its water wells. Muslims took control of a strategic well/water reservoir and blocked off some other wells. The enemy had to cross the valley, in front of Muslims, to reach the water wells.
The poor Muslims had no clue that they would never see the Quraish caravan, but instead have an encounter with 1000-strong Quraish army of Makkah.

Here’s a look at the background: Muhajireen (refugees or emigrants) were actually the victims of aggression and oppression; and were expelled by the Quraish leaders of Makkah. They were also forced to leave behind family members, their homes, properties and cattle/camel herds. They arrived in Madinah empty-handed. The Makkans confiscated their properties and cattle/camel herds. On top of it, Muslims were not allowed to fight back (in the beginning). They were very angry. They suffered the worst kind of persecution at the hands of Quraish of Makkah for 13 long years.

Eventually, when Allah’s permission came and Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) told them that they were allowed to fight back, they were looking for an opportunity to recover their losses. But Allah had a different plan for them.

Abu Soufyan somehow got the information about this ambush and changed the route but at the same time he sent a message to Makkan leaders to come to his rescue. The Quraish leaders of Makkah got furious and decided to teach Muslims a lesson. They sent an army of 1000 fighters to eliminate Muslims. They were equipped with war gear, 100 horses, 700 camels laden with war material and other supplies; and bands of chanters/drum-beaters.
Muslims, on the other hand, were not prepared for any armed confrontation as they did not have the means for it. The 313-men contingent had only two horses and 70 camels and little or no war equipment. Some of them had swords but no shields. To reach the valley near Badr, they had to walk or share the ride by two or three.

When the Quraish army reached Badr, they received a message from Abu Soufyan that the caravan had safely passed the region, therefore, they could return to Makkah. Abu Jahl was an arrogant leader of the Quraish. He refused to return to Makkah without victory.

(The battle-ground of Badr. Modern city of Badr is in the background.)
A Muslim patrol party captured a waterman who confessed that he was part of the group supplying water to the Makkan army. It was a shocking news. When Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) heard that the Quraish of Makkah had dispatched an army of 1000 men and they were just on the other side of the hill, he got worried and called a meeting to decide what to do next.
Muslims were a little worried and the Prophet (s.a.w.) kept invoking Allah. Later, he addressed them and while giving glad tiding of a victory, said:
“Allah has promised you one of the two, either the caravan or the army”.

“Behold! Allah promised you one of the two
(enemy) parties, that it should be yours.
You wished that the one unarmed should be
yours, but Allah willed to justify the Truth
according to His words and to cut off
the roots of the unbelievers.”
(al-Quran 8:7)

Subhan-Allah! That’s how Allah works! The poor Muslims wanted to capture the trade caravan with its expensive merchandise and other goods; and camels/horses; and be content with it. This was referred to in the Quran as the ‘unarmed party’ of the enemy. The other party was ‘armed’ – the army of the Quraish of Makkah – which Muslims could not even dream of facing at that stage and level, let alone capturing or conquering it! Makkans were considered the richest and the strongest people in the region. But Allah wanted to justify the Truth, therefore, He created the circumstances too.

On the night before the battle, Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) made a very long and intense supplication (‘dua’) to Allah. He was praying under a tree, crying until the sun rose. He was standing up, raising his hands toward heavens. Some of the words he uttered:

“O Allah! I invoke You for Your promise of victory.
Here come Quraish full of vanity and pride. They
Oppose You and call Your Messenger a liar. O Allah!
If You decide that we be defeated today, and if this little
band of your believers perishes today, there would be
none left in the land to worship You!”

At that particular time, those 300-plus people were the only Muslims on the face of the earth and in the case of a defeat, they would be wiped out. When Abu Bakr (r.a.a.) saw this, he came to console the Prophet (s.a.w.). He held the Prophet (s.a.w.)’s hand in his hand and said: “That’s enough! Allah will certainly fulfill His promise He made to you.”

Allah’s re-assurance came and Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) felt the contentment and peace, satisfaction and confidence to stand up to the challenge facing them. His prayers were answered right then and there.

“Remember you implored the assistance of your
Lord and He answered you: "I will assist you
with a thousand of the angels, ranks on ranks."
(al-Quran 8:9)

The night before the battle, while Muslims slept, a heavy rain fell. On the morning of Friday, the 17th of Ramadan, 2 A.H., the two armies advanced and drew closer to each other.

(Top guns challenging each other for duals.)
The battle started in the Arab tradition with the big warriors of Quraish, like Walid Ibn Utba, Utba Ibn Rabia, and Shaiba, coming out and challenging the opposition for duals. Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) sent his uncle Hamza (r.a.a.), his cousin Ali (r.a.a.) and his companion Ubaida (r.a.a.) to fight the star warriors of Quraish; and they killed the Quraish heroes sending terror wave in the ranks of the Makkans. Ubaida (r.a.a.) was fatally wounded though and died later (being the first martyr of Badr). Then the troops attacked each other in regular fighting. By noon, the battle was over as Makkans fled the scene leaving dead bodies and material behind.

Nicholson writes:
“But the importance of Mohammed’s success
(in the battle of Badr) cannot be measured by the
material damage which he inflicted (upon the pagans of
Mecca). Considering the momentous issues involved,
we must allow that Badr, like Marathon, is one of the
greatest and most memorable battles in all history.”
(A Literary History of The Arabs, by A. Nicholson, 1969).

The battle of Badr claimed some big heads of the Quraish of Makkah; the most important among them was Abu Jahl, his brother and his son. Abu Jahl was considered as ‘Pharaoh for Muslim Ummah’. Umayyah Ibn Khalaf was another big notable killed in Badr. According to one narration, he was killed by his own ex-slave Bilal (r.a.a.). Abu Soufyan survived and returned to Makkah to prepare for another war. In total 70 Makkan fighters were killed and another 70 captured as prisoners of war.

On the other hand, from among the Muslims, 14 people were martyred. Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) and his contingent returned to Madinah, a week before the end of Ramadan, glorifying and thanking the Merciful Lord for His help at Badr.

(Names of the 14 martyrs of Badr are engraved on this ‘Badr Memorial’ in Saudi Arabia)

This was the first major encounter between Muslims and the Makkans. So, the Prophet (s.a.w.) consulted his companions on the subject of ‘prisoners of war’. There were all kinds of suggestions based on different sentiments. Abu Bakr suggested to pardon them and accept ransom for their release. In the end, the Prophet (s.a.w.) announced: “We will ransom the prisoners”.
According to some narrations, they were given the choice to accept Islam and win freedom; or to teach 10 Muslims ‘how to read and write’ and win freedom. Otherwise, the ransom amount was fixed at 400 Dirhams per prisoner.

Like many other ‘Firsts’ of the history of mankind, Badr also set the first example of the treatment of prisoners of war. Their lives were spared; they were treated humanely; they were provided with shelter and fed properly, even when some Muslims did not have food to eat and survived on dates and water.

Sir William Muir, the famous British orientalist, known for his hostility towards Islam and Muslims, wrote:

“In pursuance of Mahomet’s commands, the citizens
of Medina and such of the emigrants who possessed
houses, received the prisoners and treated them
with much consideration. ‘Blessings be on the men
of Medina’, said one of these prisoners in the later
days, ‘they made us ride while they themselves
walked. They gave us wheaten bread to eat
when there was little of it, contenting
themselves with dates’.”

(The graveyard of the Martyrs of Badr in Saudi Arabia)

The Battle of Badr is a constant reminder to the Muslims that if they fear Allah, the way Allah should be feared; and if they obey Allah and His Prophet (s.a.w.), the way they should be obeyed, Allah’s help is guaranteed!

“Call to mind when you were a small (band),
despised through the land, and afraid that men
might despoil and kidnap you. But He provided
a safe asylum for you, strengthened you with
His aid, and gave you good things for
sustenance, that you might be grateful.”
(al-Quran 8:26)

WHAT'S THE PURPOSE OF YOUR LIFE? Serve Your Lord Creator As A Faithful Slave.

What’s The Purpose of Your Life?
Serve Your Lord Creator
As A Faithful & Sincere Slave!

He Sent You A Message
Telling You What To Do
In This World. Did You
Understand The Message?

(M. Javed Naseem)

“We have revealed for you (O men!)
a Book in which is a Message for you!
Will you not then understand?”
(al-Quran 21:10)

Have you ever asked yourself: “What’s the purpose of my life here?” And if you did, what answer did you get from your heart or from your conscience? Our life in this world has a purpose and it is up to us to figure it out. The Almighty has given us a lot of freedom, liberty and choice of action. On the Day of Judgment, we'll answer questions about those choices we made here. The Bible says:

You are the most beautiful, wonderful and magnificent creation of Allah, the Supreme Creator. The sole purpose of your temporary life on this planet Earth is to glorify your Lord Creator Who is the Cherisher, the Sustainer and Most Merciful Beneficent. Simply put: Allah is your Master and you are His slave. Therefore, do your duty and serve your Master faithfully! That is the purpose of your being here. Everything else is bullshit, manufactured to fool you and interpreted to manipulate you.

The Supreme Creator (Allah) has mentioned the purpose of your creation in the Quran, chapter 51 (Surah ad-Dhaariyat), verse 56, as follows:

Surah ad-Dhaariyat
“I have only created Jinns and men,
that they may serve Me.”
(al-Quran 51:56)

And do we know how to serve Allah? Well, obey His commands (detailed in the Quran) the way Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) showed us to obey! If we follow the Prophet (s.a.w.) as a role-model in every respect, we’ll never go astray.

Some people have translated and interpreted the above Quranic verse as:
“I have only created Jinns and men
so that they worship Me”.

This translation or interpretation is not correct – it’s only partially correct. Serving Allah is a very comprehensive term as compared to worshiping Allah. Worship is a small part of serving Allah. ‘Serving’ Allah encompasses every aspect of life on this planet whereas ‘worshiping’ covers only one part – the rituals pertaining to Allah.

The purpose of your life is to please your
Creator – the Lord God by obeying Him.
For your good performance, the Supreme
Creator will award you the coveted
prize – the Paradise (Jannah).

In the Quran, there are hundreds of commands from Allah that don’t form part of the ‘worship’ commands. They cover other aspects like family life, duties of a husband or a wife; inheritance, education, treatment of others and especially neighbors, the orphans, the widows, the poor; how to conduct; how to talk; what to eat; how to maintain peace; how to curb evil; etc., etc. These are called the ‘Rights of People’ (Huqooq-ul Ibad). And then comes the other part (the ‘worship’ part) the commands of which cover Tawheed, Salaat and Zikr (Dhikr), Zakat, fasting in Ramadan, praying at night, Hajj and Umrah, etc. These worship commands can easily be distinguished from other commands. This second part is called ‘Rights of Allah’ (Huqooq-u-Allah).

Islam is ‘to surrender or submit unconditionally
to the Will of God’. Only the honest and sincere
submission to our Lord Creator can protect us
from the raging Hellfire, nothing else!

******************************************

Subhan-Allah! Our Lord, the Almighty, knew how we Muslims would treat and handle the Quran, so He asked us a direct question in Chapter 21, Surah al-Anbiya (the Prophets). He said:

“We have revealed for you (O men!) a
Book in which there is a Message for you!
Will you not then understand?”
(al-Quran 21:10)

As a matter of fact, this question is meant for the entire mankind in general, but I would say that it is addressed to Muslims in particular. A very simple verse asking a very simple question! Allah has sent us a Message and He is asking us if we understood it (if we know what to do). Logically, when you are given a message, you first read it, fully understand it and then try to implement it. A normal course!

Now, we have the Message (the Quran) in our hands. Have we read it? Yes, many times. Some people even finish it three times during the month of Ramadan. And they are very happy that they would get the reward (Sawaab or Hasanah) for reciting it. But the question Allah asked us, still remains unanswered: Did we understand the Message? The true answer is ‘NO’; more than 90% did not understand it or did not bother to act upon (implement) it. So what’s the purpose?

It’s our obligation that we understand and implement the Message of our Lord Creator otherwise we’ll end up as losers, both in this world and in the Hereafter. Let me make one thing clear here! Reading the Quran (without understanding it and without implementing it) just for Sawaab or Hasanah is not enough. It’s not going to protect us from the Hellfire if we don’t do what Allah tells us to do! In His Message (the Quran), Allah talks to us; gives us the commands to do certain things and forbids us certain things. If we do (obey) that, we are declared ‘successful’ but if we fail to do that, we end up as losers in both worlds. Simple as that!

Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) was the Messenger of God and he brought us Allah’s Message – the Quran, also called the ‘Book’. In the beginning of the Quran (actually in Surah al-Baqara), Allah says:

“This is the Book; in it is guidance sure,
without doubt, to those who fear Allah.”
(al-Quran 2:2)

In other words, this is the message in which there is definite guidance and which, without any doubt, shall guide those believers who fear Allah (or are mindful of Allah). Now, who are those people? The answer is in the next two verses:

“Who believe in the Unseen, are steadfast in prayer,
and spend out of what We have provided for them.”
(al-Quran 2:3)

“And who believe in the Revelation sent to you,
and sent before your time, and (in their hearts)
have the assurance of the Hereafter.”
(al-Quran 2:4)

Very clear explanation! Those are the people who believe in the Unseen One God and angels; people who are steadfast in their worship of Allah (prayers and remembrance); who spend regularly in charity from the bounties of Allah; who believe in the Quran (the Divine Message) sent to Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) and other Messages (Scriptures) revealed to earlier Prophets and Messengers; and who definitely believe in the life after death (the Hereafter). This is the Message of Allah in a nutshell. And this is also precisely the definition of Faith (Iman).
And if you are the person who does all of the above, you are then rightly guided and Allah gives you the good news of success and prosperity:

“They are on (true) guidance, from their Lord,
and it is them who will prosper.”
(al-Quran 2:2-5)

On the other hand, if we fail to understand and implement the Message, we’ll be punished. Allah has warned us clearly at many places in the Quran. Allah does not like disobedience and rebellion from His servants or slaves.

Allah tells us that if He had wanted, He could have guided every soul in the universe so that there would be no evil and injustice. But Allah gave human beings and the Jinns liberty and freedom of choice. Allah likes us to follow His commands and fulfill our obligations voluntarily. At the end of our tenure in this world, we’ll be held accountable for all our deeds, good or bad, and on the basis of those deeds we would eventually be rewarded with Paradise or punished with Hellfire. Allah knows that a lot of us won’t qualify for Paradise, therefore, would be punished and sent to Hell. Allah’s promise is True! He declares in Surah as-Sajda (chapter 32):

“If We had so willed, We could certainly have
brought every soul its true guidance; but the
Word from Me will come true, ‘I will fill Hell
with Jinns and men all together.’"
(al-Quran 32:13)

Allah’s Message is very clear. You don’t need any middle-man (a Mullah, Maulvi or a scholar) to understand the commands of Allah. Read the Quran with translation in your own language again and again! And you’ll be guided. Guaranteed! Only implementing (applying it to our lives) of the Quran can guarantee us protection from Hellfire. So, study it well and try to live by that!
